The new Raising Cane's location is open in Tulare. Of course, the store was extremely busy today during lunch. Literally no space to sit but that's okay since I had a Zoom meeting to get home to and was getting the food to go. The service was friendly and prompt with no time wasted. I could see that the staff was happy to finally be open. As for the food, the chicken fingers are amazing. They are not your typical KFC or Popeyes chicken. This chicken is so good...crispy, without the oiliness and the chicken itself is super juicy. Pair that with the cane sauce they provide and its nothing but mere perfection. The Texas Toast is the bonus...crispy, fluffy, and perfectly toasted with their butter. I have been tempted to order extra toast, but I must draw the line somewhere. The crinkle cut fries come out perfect and go so well with the canes sauce. Only thing that kept me from 5 stars is I wish they gave more sauce for your order: 1 small container isn't enough for all that goodness, especially, if you dip the toast in the sauce, which I highly recommend. Where do I start? As I first pulled up there is 2 lanes to order food I went to the one with no cars for faster service well no one was taking orders so I had to back up and switch to the order lane to order my food. When I got to the window I paid and asked the gentleman if both lanes are to order food he said yes that upset me because I was there a cool minute and no one helped me. I got my food and was ready to eat when i realized I was given the wrong food order when they had previously asked for my name. Had to go back in and ask for my correct order. The cherry on top was that they don't give utensils to eat your food and not to mention those are chicken nuggets not chicken fingers they are very small. read more

I love their chicken, sauce and coleslaw. Unfortunately the last 4 times I've gone to this location in the last month, they've been out of coleslaw. I work until at least 9 so I stop after...for a place to be open until 1am and always be out of an item by 9:30 is ridiculous to me. I keep going because I'm craving it with the coleslaw and I've been told every time they're sold out. I won't go there again...and the other locations are out of my way, so I guess I won't be getting my Canes fix for awhile read more

I had great anticipation of my first visit following my recent return from the Bayou where I heard the story of their humble beginnings and commitment to consistency, fresh and quality. Although I might try again I was not impressed. The restaurant was not clean and it did not appear that there was management on sight and providing leadership. The chicken strips were inconsistent in size, not hot and or crisp, the French fries were limp and cold. Although I very politely mentioned this to the young teen out the counter my comments were greeted with rolling eyes and a shrug of the shoulders. One last point, although I do not expect my kind of music to be playing in the restaurant the ghetto rap that was playing was excessively loud to the point were it was intrusive and very possibly inappropriate for the young children who were in the restaurant. read more

This place is usually good but I really do not like that they stop serving lemonade at midnight. That's one of the best things about them. I said I was going to try it so I got the 6 piece combo Dinner it was fresh and cooked to order so I went to the Drive through and I got my order and pulled over I said dam they got my Recipe I make all the time the Texas toast was really good I was not impressed with the coleslaw and I am still on the fence with there sauce a basic mayonnaise and Ketchup with salt and lots of pepper but the sweet tea was really good so I didn't compare it to KFC which had changed the flavor of mashed potatoes and gravy and the chicken felt like it seasoned has been changed as well but I normally get it because I love the coleslaw and the chicken pot pie but they always say they don't have any made. Food was good but awful service. Made the mistake of going through the drive-thru at 5:15 pm. When it came time for us to get our food, the young man who takes your food to your car was busy joking around with another employee. When I pointed out to the young man that our food was ready, he walked over to the window to get the food and then started to talk with that employee as the same food was sitting there. Why are they afraid to use seasoning? Who is their target audience? People who hate flavor? Then they win. The breading on the chicken is terribly bland, no trace of any seasoning. The fries , underdone, again, no seasoning. Toast is good though, but boy if they only put some butter on it and maybe some garlic ( whoops, thats seasoning!) on it before they threw it on the grill, that would be so much better. Except for it was really juicy so that's good. This was my first time here and I gotta say I'm not dying to come back any time soon. The service was fast, and food very tasty. I would have to say better then KFC. And about even to popeye's. But then again that's just me. This place needs to seriously change its drive through system. Apparently one of the credit card readers wasn't working for one of the people who were taking orders. Instead of waitIng on both lines of cars (the card reader is portable and can move from lane to lane) the only people who were being waitEd on were the cars in the lane that had the working card reader. Four cars who were behind us got service first. Finally they brought the card reader over to our lane. By then we were not too happy and didn't order. Underwhelmed. Super long line at the drive thru led me to think Canes was something special. The chicken was moist, the batter light and crispy. All it lacked was flavor. Totally bland. Sure the dipping sauce was good and helped, but the chicken fingers are supposed to be the star of the show and should be flavorful on their own.
