I had a pick up order tonight ready at 6. 1.it was read ON TIME 2.my order was 100% correct 3.my guacamole containers were filled to the top (which I totally appreciate) My husband who is very picky loved his burrito!! It was a very good size, my bowl was perfect Thank you to whom made and prepared our order it was placed in the bag neatly my order confirmation was printed and attached to the bag. I visited this location again back in February 2026. It was a Saturday and I was surprised to see that it was not crowded or busy at all during lunch hours.. approximately 2 PM. I typically place my order in app and just pick up from shelf on my way out. This time I told myself I would give this place another chance except I should just stand in line and instruct the employee on how I wanted my bowl to prepared. I walked to the back area to excuse myself to the restroom before going to stand in line to create my order in person. Both doors were locked so I stood to the side and waited until an occupant exited. Remember how I indicated that there was really no traffic in the restaurant and it was quite dead so the only individuals who were on the premises besides the employees were myself and 2 occupants inside the facilities. I think one other person was with one of these occupants and making it 4 total "patrons" inside the restaurant. Now after waiting approximately 3 to 4 minutes, an occupant exited and I went inside. As I was inside the most private place *legally speaking* that any guest of a commercial establishment could be allowed to use, in less time than I spent waiting on a person to exit, I saw the door handle moving (attempt to open). so I figured it was another guest that would realize the door was locked because someone else was inside. I did not react or respond. Very shortly after the indication of door handle movement, someone started to knock on the door. again I didn't react or respond as I have the right to use the facilities just how everyone else does. The initial knocking was unusual but not alarming. The continuous knocking escalated to the point of banging loudly as if it was an emergency or as if it was LE. As the second round of knocking continued, a person shouts something to the effect of, "IM GOING TO OPEN THE DOOR, THIS IS THE MANAGER"! Which is not only inappropriate this is unlawful conduct and/or highly illegal. So I respond in a controlled manner "I am using the restroom". I really wanted to say, "please do so I would love for you to give me a reason to sue you!" Either directly and/or vicariously. although I knew the vicarious liability factor would have gone way over her head. I decided to just document this event by preserving the record accordingly just in case I decide to make this matter formal by forwarding a complaint to the appropriate sources instead of communicating my concerns with incompetent individual or individuals (employees) in the restaurant . Now after I said that I was using the restroom aka occupying the facilities, **crickets**. Pure silence. even after I walked out of the restroom, there was no one outside waiting on me to exit. presumably explain the severity of "the managers" concerns or the emergency situation that could have possibly created the urgent need to wrongfully violate my privacy rights in this manner. As a result of this unnecessary encounter, I decided NOT to order a burrito bowl directly at the counter. I mean who would patronize this restaurant after an extremely unnecessary encounter by a "manager" who is not only incompetent but unreasonably informed about the fact that a MANAGER is just another entry level EMPLOYEE, that can be EASILY replaced. The good news is that in CA there is no law that enables a "manager" aka employee with EXTRA statutory rights to forcibly enter a restroom while a patron is occupying the facility. Even if there was an emergency or a serious urgency to trespass, an employee is NOT immune from civil liability. read more

Honestly this may be the longest running joke in Tulare. The manager at this location is almost combative. All inquiries are met with an argumentative dismissive tone. We are dealing with our own version of the soup Nazi here only taller and a woman. Been here dozens of times 100 percent of the time she's barking and or rolling her eyes at employees, it is so awkward to be in the location. The food is great it's chipotle, the location is clean and orderly it's just that manager is very hard to be around. In reading the other yelp reviews this seems to be a running theme. What I got instead was one of the most frustrating and poorly handled customer interactions I've had in a long time. First off, the promotion itself was handled in the most stupid and backwards way possible. Even though I was physically standing inside the restaurant, I was told I had to order through the app to get the double protein deal. No signage explaining this. No heads-up beforehand. Just a shrug and a "you need to use the app" after I was already in line. If you're running a promotion that requires app-only ordering, maybe communicate that clearly--or better yet, don't punish in-store customers for actually showing up. What made it worse was the staff. The employees had terrible people skills--blatantly unhelpful, dismissive, and borderline rude. No attempt to explain the process, no empathy, no effort to help troubleshoot. It felt like I was inconveniencing them by asking basic questions about their own promotion. Customer service was nonexistent. Chipotle used to be about quick, friendly service and decent food. Now it feels like an app company that happens to sell burritos and treats in-person customers like an afterthought. If you have time to check out my reviews, you will notice it is rare for me to give out low ratings. That being said, if I give a low-star review and then give it another chance to see if it was just a random lapse of character. So, that is what I am doing here. I am from Visalia and I frequent the Chipotles within my town, without issue. 98% of the time, everything is exactly how I like and want. My main issue was the disorganization of the staff during the process. I know exactly what I want. Unfortunately, there was a lot of side conversation, and minimal conversation with me, the customer. We are all aware of the price we are paying for that bowl. For many years, it has been acceptable because the staff will, for lack of better words, " Load it up". That was not the case. There was hardly any rice or beans. I got a minimal amount of chicken and even had to ask for a bit more. I am also not extra, but I know the difference between a Chipotle serving, an extra serving, and the lack thereof. Mine was more of the latter. Next, the additional toppings. I got cheese, salsa, which they put almost no salsa in, so I asked for extra on the side, and they didn't even fill that up. Y'all, I was going to be paying $16+ for this thing, and you can't even give me an adequate amount of salsa that costs you nothing, and your company maybe $0.0000000006. (Insert laughing face emoji here.) Then the lettuce. Meek. I got Guac on the side, that was fine. Then I got a large bag of chips, and it was 1/3 of the way full. With all that being said, I will give this location another chance because of the quality of the food. I came to order in person, the lady taking my order was friendly and genuinely had the right mindset of right and wrong. As she added rice to start my order she noticed something that shouldn't have been in the rice. She asked a coworker who I assume was a manager or higher level employee, he said to throw it out and start over with which she replied should I throw out all of the rice to which he said no. To me if anything needed to be thrown out that came out of that rice container then the whole thing needs to be gone. I gave this one another shot after 9 months. Unfortunately the same manager is still there and still appears to be rude to customers (from what I saw a few people in front of me). Looks as if she's also unkind to her employees from what I saw. My steak in my bowl was cold which was sad, but the rest of the food tasted fine. Strangest part is that they don't have forks. All of the fork containers are filled with spoons. I went to the counter and asked for a fork, to which the rude manager replied "we don't have those" as if I was stupid for asking... When ordering my food on 6/4 at approximately 430-5 in Tulare the manager was preparing my food, she was very fast, spoke over me, didn't add my vinaigrette after asking for it twice, then in the middle of our conversation while I was thinking about getting guacamole she (a WHITE female) asked, "Quero algo más" as if I didn't know English when the whole conversation was English. There is a term for this it's radicalization. After getting home I realized she filled up my queso cheese half way so I asked to get her name to make a complaint and she said " be respectful when making the complain because it goes straight to me". The employees here visibly get upset and crack an attitude if you walk in within 2 hours of closing. The past couple of times I go at 8pm to grab some late dinner, knowing this locations closes at 10pm. The last time I was in there I ate with my bf at 8pm and a male worker started slamming the dust pan and broom and the chair right next to us. Clearly he was upset and we got the feeling we weren't welcomed anymore so we left. Now tonight This time same thing this time I get Togo at 8pm and there was an older woman with glasses took my order and she had an attitude like hurry up type of attitude. I asked for pico and she snapped back loud with a rude tone "we're out of pico". Caught me off guard. This Chipotle is absolutely awful. Avoid at all costs. It is worth it just to drive to the Visalia one. The employees here have absolutely zero ability to do their job to even the minimum standard. It's to the point that it is impressive how much they lack basic knowledge and critical thinking skills. Today I tried to use a reward QR code. I scanned it. The lady working the line next to the cashier looked over and said "did it take the item off". The cashier said "yes. It says it did". Spoiler alert! It did not. I asked for my receipt to be sure, because I knew she was just saying that so she didn't have to deal with it. And pointed out it in fact did not remove the item. She said "oh yeah sorry". I said "ok, well can you ring it back up and then take those off". And the lady standing next to her said they can't do that unless I buy something else for 5 dollars or more. I'm sorry, what? You can't refund me and re-complete the transaction to take the rewards item off? She insisted I would have to buy something else. I expected the absolute bare minimum of them ensuring the QR code went through, or even just not lying to me about it, and I couldn't even get that. I went to the chipotle in Tulare and the Walmart parking lot the manager of that place wow so unprofessional I was embarrassed for her employee she was literally picking on that girl. The girl was putting away some catering boxes because somebody had picked up some catering and then she was making the bags for Uber eats or one of those eating places and the manager started yelling at her while she was on the floor telling her she needed to get on the floor and start working in the back because it's almost lunchtime. She could've asked her nicely and she could've helped her, but she didn't help her. She's going to yell at her And then when she was in the in the back helping her with the food, she yelled at her again and then has the audacity to say to me. You wouldn't think that you would think the brand new way are acting, but they've been here for over two years who complains to a customer with a customer is already not happy about you complaining to your employees And my food was all dried up. She should concentrate more on that. I'm sorry this is not a good one, but I really felt sorry for her employees. You could tell she really bullied them and not just her quite a few of them. I wish I had read the reviews before getting food from here. I will not be eating at ANY chipotle ever again because of how bad my experience was. First of all, my husband went in to pickup some food. He was not wearing a mask. He asked if they had masks and they said they did not provide them and he needed to leave and place his order outside. Okay, fine. So he placed the order through the app and went to pick it up inside, without a mask, which apparently was "okay". This wasn't particularly disturbing to me because I normally take a mask with me and don't have issues about it, my husband however was not pleased. Anyway, he brings the food home and I don't know if the people were mad at him or what, but the serving size of my burrito bowl was half the bowl. I didn't get rice so I was expecting maybe more lettuce or something as filler. It was literally the smallest serving of everything except the red salsa. Now I normally have really spicy salsa or hot sauce on things, but this salsa was hands down, the spiciest chipotle salsa I've ever had. My husband thought so too, and he normally likes habanero and ghost pepper hot sauce. Well that should have been a red flag because a couple hours after we ate, my stomach started hurting and I had really bad indigestion/heart burn. I took a pepto bismol and fell asleep only to wake up hours later with the worst stomach issues I've had in years. My husband had the same issues. Suffice it to say, I have been in and out of the bathroom and lying in bed because of how much pain I am in. I've taken tums now too and eaten and my stomach still hurts. As Chipotle's go, this one did their job. By that I mean they gave me what I needed and expected with some decent service. It's nothing to shout from the rooftops, but it did meet the standard I'd expect from the reigning king of fast casual Mexican-ish food. Considering the late hour in which I stopped by, the food was fresh and didn't look like it had been sitting out for ages. I got my usual - a bowl with double chicken, salsa but no guac. They hooked up generous scoops and didn't leave me asking for more. The final test (and this depends a lot on your time of visit) was the service. Today was a busy day for me as I have been doing demo at my house, taking out carpet throughout. So when I showed up, for dinner, I was extremely hungry and looking forward to a good meal. What I have been craving was an asada salad. But when I arrived, there was none left. I understand that the restaurant was about to close within about 15 minutes. I ended up ordering the steak. No harm, no foul. But as I sat devouring my meal, I was presented with a gift card for a free entree on my next visit. As always, the staff is professional and friendly at this Tulare store.
