Friday night (01/23/26) we had reservations and a great experience. The ambiance was very nice and the service was excellent. Our waiter gave solid recommendations, and everything we ordered was delicious. Highlights included the Rock Shrimp Tempura (GOOD), King Crab Tempura (AMAZING), and the full Peking Duck (AMAZING) , along with Kung Pao Chicken (MEH), Sweet Soy Marinated Skirt Steak (AMAZING), Wagyu Steak Frites, and Fried Rice. Desserts (Banana Wonton (MEH) and Warm Brownie (AMAZING) . This is definitely a higher-end spot, our bill for four people was about $600 and change, but the food and experience were worth it. Valet parking is a big plus on a busy Friday night. We'll definitely be back, just budgeting a bit better next time.

Had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for brunch and I love the dim light aesthetics. I felt like I was in a hideaway not in Miami at the moment. I love places that can get you to feel like you're away from the world and not know what's going on outside. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered the following items: Dim sum sampler Edamame Ube waffles with mango butter cream Mochi ice cream. Everything was delicious even the truffle dim sum I was surprised. FYI it comes out very hot so take your time to enjoy!

my honest review is that the food was actually better than I thought... I would recommend ordering the tuna pizza we had it twice - It's that good! But the service was terrible, none of the waiters are present even when ordering. They brought our appetizer after the main course lol and they double charged us something on mistake, after I told them to make sure they don't ...so pay attention to the itemized check! Left a little bit more disappointed, unfortunately but other than that, I would recommend since the food was good!

Aventura Mall has just about everything you could imagine. Yet, somehow it's always been missing a solid sit-down Asian restaurant. This has always been very surprising for one of the largest malls in the country. That finally changed with Toku Modern Asian, and after our Miami Spice experience here, I'm glad to say this cuisine gap has officially been filled. We stopped in for Miami Spice brunch and lunch menus (they were kind enough to let us mix and match), fueling up before a day of shopping. Everything started with Salted Edamame, a very simple but essential warm-up. Fresh, well-seasoned, and gone in minutes. For my appetizer, I went with the Tuna Pizza, which came out crisp, flavorful, and generously topped. I've had versions of this dish elsewhere, but this one held its own with great flavors and a satisfying crisp. This is the perfect shareable starter. For my main, I ordered the Short Rub with Pad Thai noodle, and it ended up being exactly what I wanted. Rich, tender short rib with the pad thai style noodles made for a very filling combination. Meanwhile, my wife upgraded to the Skirt Steak & Eggs, and after stealing a few bites, I can confirm it was one of the better skirt steaks either of us has had in a while. As people who grew up appreciating the delicious simplicity of rice with an egg on top, we understood the appeal immediately. For dessert, I went with their very unique Banana Wonton. This featured passion fruit cream with lychee sorbet and mint leaf. My wife is not a banana person but did not mind the fried banana wonton, and especially enjoyed the lychee sorbet. Service was excellent and friendly throughout our lunch. There weren't that many people dining while we were, but it started to fill up by the time we left. The restaurant itself is expansive and beautiful. It reminds me a lot of Hutong in Brickell but more laid back. Toku had been on my list for a while, and Miami Spice finally gave me the perfect excuse to check it out. I'm glad we did. This is a strong addition to Aventura Mall and a place I'd happily stop by again before or after another shopping run.

It's Asian fusion but still pretty good. I really like their Peking duck. The duck itself is delicious, but the way they serve it looks really nice, and they have a special way of folding the pancakes which makes them really easy to peel and eat.

Came here while I was at Aventura mall and was happy to see they had a Miami Spice menu! The ambiance is very nice for a restaurant in a mall. The low lighting and decor does give it a nice feel. The food was good, they have a lot of unique entrees for brunch as well as classic Asian options. I really enjoyed their crispy rice and mochi! The bar area looked very nice and I will definitely be back to have a drink, as their cocktails did look good. The service was good we were in and out pretty fast considering we did a 3 course meal

After a long day of travel we had to do some last minute shopping for an upcoming wedding. We were looking all over the mall for a ceviche restaurant I had found on yelp. However it alluded us. By this time we were exhausted and starving and decided change it up and go to Toku since we had parked near by. Boy I'm glad we did... As we entered we were greeted and seated promptly with no reservation. The hostess, server and assistant we incredibly attentive. The decor was modern with an asian theme creating the perfect ambiance. Now for the food and drinks. We shared a bottle of pineapple nigori sake to start our south Florida adventure. My husband ordered some Nigiri Scallop, white tuna, and red tuna as well as a side of Garlic broccoli. The sushi was fresh and well made broccoli was cooked properly with some crunch left and lots of garlic.I ordered Ji-dori Chicken and Scallion robata perfectly juicy and flavorful skewers. I also ordered the Pacific King roll (King crab, avocado, asian pear, wasabi-avocado crème) the avocado wasabi creme amazing an I will have to try and re create that. We will defiantly be back some of the best service I've had in along time,

I came to check out their Miami Spice menu. I was pleasantly surprised. The menu had a vast variety. The portions were fair, and the food came out very quickly. The chicken wrap, there was nothing to write home about, just ground chicken with lettuce and a side of hoisin sauce. The short rib was good, but the pad thai was a bit dry. The waitress was pretty attentive and other staff came by to check on me while I ate often. Maybe it is because I have astigmatism, but the lighting is too low. I went for lunch and found it hard to read the menu even with reading glasses on. Overall, I like the menu and hope they participate in Miami Spice next year as well.

Just had an excellent dinner at toku. Our server, Quinn was amazing and so helpful. I highly recommend the Peking duck! So deliciously crispy and savory.

Stopped by Toku Modern Asian for their Miami Spice brunch fueling up before a day of shopping. The meal started with Edamame, which was exactly what you'd hope for: simple, fresh, and gone in about three minutes. For the appetizer, I went with the Dim Sum Sampler and regretted not ordering three more lol. Every dim sum bite was unique and packed with flavor. The leek dumpling caught me off guard (in a good way), and the mushroom dumpling was my favorite. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them! Upgraded my entrée to the skirt steak with egg, and it was one of the best quality skirt steaks I've had in a long time. As a Cuban, I have a deep appreciation for rice topped with an egg, and while the dish might look small, it's deceptively filling. Dessert was half a mochi in cookies and cream, matcha, and mango flavors. Very standard and delicious. Service was excellent, with our waiter offering great recommendations, and everything came out relatively quickly. The lunch crowd was spread out, which gave it a relatively calm and quiet atmosphere. Toku has been on my list to try for a while, and I'm glad Miami Spice gave me the perfect excuse to check it off.

Great spot for a lunch deal you can't go wrong with the bento box. Each part of the meal is delicious. The sauce on the shrimp was excellent and so was the salad. I recommend you give them a shot! Lot of food for the value and the restaurant has a very nice contemporary design to it.

Every time I land in South Florida, I find myself back at Toku in Aventura like clockwork. Maybe it's habit, maybe it's loyalty, or maybe it's the crispy duck--shatteringly crisp skin giving way to tender meat, lacquered in something sweet, salty, and just shy of addictive. Toku isn't subtle. The dining room hums like a well-oiled machine, sleek and buzzing, where salads arrive stacked like sculptures and sushi is plated with the kind of elegance that makes you pause before eating. The Toku House Salad, a tangle of greens and julienned carrots tossed with a punchy vinaigrette, could pass as a spa lunch if it weren't so satisfying. The sushi--clean, cool, expertly sliced--is consistently good, not a given in restaurants this size. I've been here over 15 times, often with family in tow, and the experience holds. The staff handles large parties with the kind of grace that makes you feel like you're the only table in the room. Service has the rare quality of being both polished and personal. Yes, I've heard about the occasional to-go order mix-up at the bar. But dine-in is where this place earns its stripes. It's the kind of restaurant where you start with intentions of moderation and end up ordering that extra dish just to keep the evening going. Toku is more than reliable--it's a reason I look forward to coming back to Aventura. And at this point, it might be the main one.

We came for Miami Spice and ended up ordering from the regular menu. I'm glad we did because we got to try other options not on the Spice menu. Nothing is wrong with the spice menu but I wanted to try something else. Plus the staff were so friendly and helpful with explaining the menu. For starters we ordered the pork gyoza which is pan-fried and delicious. For our mains to share we ordered the spicy Hong Kong pork and jade tiger shrimp with a side of jasmine rice and garlic broccoli. Everything was amazing! The spicy Hong Kong pork is thinly sliced and not spicy but the sauce is slightly sweet and savory. The jade tiger shrimp was delicious and it has a stir fry vegetables with cashews that added nice texture to the dish. The garlic broccoli is crispy and a perfect add on with the jasmine rice. For dessert we ordered the banana wonton and that was the perfect way to end our meal. The banana wonton is warm and crispy plus it comes with vanilla ice cream and whip cream. It was light and sweet but not overly sweet. We loved everything and will definitely be back!

Still, they did a solid job making the outdoor seating feel inviting with nicely arranged patio furniture and decor that creates a more comfortable atmosphere. Just keep in mind that the patio sits along a pedestrian arcade area, so expect people constantly passing by during your meal. Service was good overall -- attentive enough with no major complaints, but nothing particularly memorable either. Food, however, was a mixed experience. Maybe we didn't choose the restaurant's strongest dishes, but if something is on the menu, it should still meet expectations. The beef filet mignon kebab was cooked to the requested medium rare temperature, which was appreciated, but the meat itself lacked tenderness. The kutabi was decent but didn't leave much of an impression. The soup was probably the weakest part of the meal, tasting more like reheated leftovers from the previous day rather than something freshly prepared.

The cappuccino I ordered was extremely disappointing: watery and tasteless, more like diluted milk. It honestly feels like there is no proper barista who understands how to make a good cappuccino. Things only got worse -- I had to look for a server myself just to get sugar, and after asking, it still took another ~10 minutes. We waited around 25 minutes for the Philadelphia rolls, which is already quite long, but the result was even worse: there was barely any cream cheese. The taste was completely off -- just poorly made rolls with almost no filling. I visited this place about six months ago and the service was noticeably better. Now it feels like both the service and food quality have significantly declined. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

At first, I wasn't too happy -- there were no outdoor seats available and the music at the bar was super loud. We ended up sitting all the way in the back next to a wall by the bathrooms, and the vibe there was just okay. Later, we moved closer to the outside and it completely changed the experience -- I enjoyed it so much more! The drinks are a little pricey but absolutely worth it -- we had the Tikki Kill and it was delicious. The music was amazing and kept the energy up all night. The couches are super comfy, the hookah service is great (they change the charcoal without you even asking), and free parking is a huge plus. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the night even better. The only downsides are that you really need to make a reservation ahead of time for weekends, otherwise you might end up stuck at the bar or in a less atmospheric spot. Also, there are only two gender-neutral restrooms, so there can be a bit of a wait.
