Clean, friendly, and fresh...are three words to describe this Japanese Bistro. The prices here are very fair. $6 for the Hibachi Chicken Lunch Entree. It is enough food for a lunch meal but not so much you feel bloated as you approach the rest of the day. The Hibachi chicken was really fresh and full of flavor. If you're a fan of light fried rice (not full of grease) then you will enjoy it here. Their shrimp sauce is not as thick as most places, but I enjoyed it more. The restaurant is clean enough to dine-in and has enough seating area to accommodate a fairly large crowd. I came here with a group from work and our waitress got all of our orders correct. We received our food within minutes of ordering. Haven't tried their sushi. Bonus: they have a drive thru! read more

On a pretty random stretch of road on the drive to Charlotte you will find this drive-through Japanese restaurant. Yes, drive-through Japanese. And how awesome is that? I had sushi yesterday so I decided to give the hibachi a try. This veggie lover went happily chomping down the road. Super fresh ingredients and flavorful sauces. Obviously it takes longer than your average drive thru but the food is far from average. Service is fun and friendly. I paid 11 bucks for a big hibachi plate and an unsweet tea. read more

The service is always fantastic here and the woman who owns this place is so sweet. Cute and sweet family :) the food is FANTASTIC! I crave it in my sleep hahahahaha. Prices are also very affordable and you get so much food for what you pay. My parents were thrown off the first time I showed them the menu until they realized just how much food you are served. Seriously?! One review for this place?! Tokyo Bistro is the best fast food Japanese I've ever had. I went to Wingate for school, and we loved how easy it was to go through the drive through, order, and go back to the pool. Really--the reason you go is for the shrimp sauce. It has a cult following for a good reason. Make sure you ask for extra because you will want it. I can't tell you the number of times I've begged that adorable Asian lady for the recipe, and she just won't budge. I always order double sweet carrots because they are just so damn good. I've heard the sushi isn't fantastic so stick with Hibachi, and you'll be happy and wanting to bathe in that pink saucey goodness. read more

First of all the food is very good, I am from out of town this is only my second time eating here. What really impressed me about these people is , I came 15 minutes after closing, unbeknown to me the times changed almost 5 months ago and they still served me after I explained my dilemma. So when traveling from Charlotte, NC to Wilmington,NC I was starving for something delicious and healthy. Literally, it seemed like in the middle of nowhere I came across this Japanese restaurant.. It was fabulous!!! Delicious, fresh, the price was right and was a very clean place. The owners and staff were so nice. Lots of seating. Tokyo Bistro in Wingate is our go-to Japanese place. It's a family run business. The prices are reasonable and their sushi is great. Our normal meal is the hibachi chicken and we've never been disappointed. Very quick service too. It's not the kind of place that you go to for the atmosphere. Solid hibachi with a very friendly staff. Chicken hibachi lunch is very affordable. Yum yum sauce is like liquid gold.

The best little Japanese gem Union county has to offer. A simple and delicious menu with the sweetest staff.

As all the reviews do say this place is quite amazing. With the drive thru window and the nice people and the elegance of the inside. I love the little pond like area of it on the inside with the water feature it's my favorite. My grandmother used to go there a lot we would get food from there all the time. I want to say that's the longest staying place in that one spot because that place is always been changed up I'm glad that the Japanese place stayed. read more

I love this place! The food is so yummy, and the staff is great and always smiling! The service is very fast and the menu items are affordable. I have not used the drive through because I always enjoy coming in to sit down, but I have heard you get quick service there too. You get good size portions of food, and I usually take 1/2 of it back to the office... or I come out stuffed! I eat here at about 3 times a month. Yes!!! Just yes! Really yummy teriyaki and other reviewers are right about the shrimp sauce -- it's so popular they seem to include it with everything! Spacious and laid-back dining area, and that nice 100 sanitary rating always puts me at ease. If you want a quick meal, you can get one for under $7. read more
