    Chicken Hibachi Side Shrimp
    Jade M.

I have been to this place twice since moving to the Monroe area. My husband and I really love their food. This time we got the chicken hibachi and the shrimp hibachi. Previously, I got the salmon teriyaki which was great. All the flavors are amazing. My favorite are their carrots and of course we love their Yum Yum sauce. Unfortunately, this time we did not receive the Yum Yum sauce in our order so next time we will make sure to check before leaving. We normally order and pick up, so the service seems fine we go and the place is nice. I would recommend if you haven't already.

I really liked the visit I had here. Came on a late Sunday afternoon. They have a nice variety on their menu. Prices are very low, which had me skeptical, but the food was excellent. Clean inside. And a steady flow of patrons which means the locals know they are good. Certainly would come back if in the area.

Spicy hibachi spicy shrimp with vegetables
    D A.

This review is super late. I stopped by on Sunday, 11-13-23, to grab dinner while exploring the area. I ordered the spicy hibachi shrimp with carrots and other mixed vegetables (zucchini, mushrooms, onions, and broccoli. The food was cooked to order but I did not have to wait long. My order was to go and was still hot when I got home. It was quiet while I was there with a few people entering right before I left. The restaurant was clean.

WARNING: PEANUT BUTTER IN SPICY MAYO!!
    Virginia S.

Quite disappointed in my experience at Kaizoku! My husband and I were driving in the area and craved some poke. We went to order online and they force you to tip 20% as well as an added convenience charge. Ordering online should not cost extra, it's actually helpful to the restaurant. So we waited to order at the restaurant because why pay extra when I have to pick it up anyways. We order our bowls and go to check out and I see "spicy mayo contain peanut butter"!!! Mhmmm what?!? Since when?? Spicy Mayo is typically Siraccha and mayonnaise. Not sure how or why peanut butter would be added. As someone with a SEVERE PEANUT ALLERGY I was floored by this. Also it was posted after making the item so I had to have them remake the item. This is just so risky with how common peanut allergies are! I mean I am very careful but never would have thought that I needed to be cautious of this sauce! Now I'll also put this accept side for a moment and talk about the quality of food. The ingredients that were offered were strange. Never seen broccoli or big baby carrots in a poke bowl. I felt like the quality wasn't as good as most of the poke I get and like I said I eat it once a week! I definitely wouldn't return and would strongly urge that they change they way they display this important information or for that matter change the sauce so it's safe!

    Poke Bowl and Crab Rangoon
    Brian N.

Poke bowl was delicious, kids loved their teriyaki chicken and sesame chicken meals. Crab Rangoon was mostly cream cheese, very little crab. Would be nice if they would offer a kid sized portion of the sesame chicken and teriyaki chicken.

There are a few street spots for takeout and then a garage that seems to require payment. I never did figure that out. Poke was great. We tried the "First Timer's Bowl" and the "Tuna Bowl", both of which were good portions with a nice variety of flavor and texture with a good portion of fish. You can also build your own. Prices were decent considering that this is a few ounces of sushi-grade fish with lots of toppings. A nice meal, very enjoyable, perhaps a little steep if you were actually buying two. But with the BOGO? Yes, that's pretty darned awesome and now that we've been here, we'll be back. [Review 2394 of 2024 - 3853 in North Carolina - 23407 overall]

If you don't like the entire menu/concept of a restaurant, don't leave a one star review to bring their average down when if just because of your taste in food. A friendly young woman greeted us and prepared our bowls with care, walking us down the options without rushing. Mrs. K. chose a rice base topped with a sweet and spicy sauce that struck a lovely balance. I went with greens and a spicy avocado sauce that added just the right kick without overwhelming the freshness of the ingredients. Both bowls were vibrant, well-portioned, and reasonably priced at $14, though there is a $2 upcharge for surimi and for masago, which is worth noting if you're customizing your bowl with extras. The restaurant itself was spotless. The assembly line looked well maintained, with ingredients neatly arranged and everything moving smoothly. Damn, that was good!…read more The first thing about this place that stands out is that it's literally the best-smelling restaurant in Mooresville. And that's a lot of restaurants. I knew once it smelled good that it would taste good. Right. Anyway... Eating this was interesting because each bite kept getting better and I didn't want to stop. The only mistake I made was the wonton noodles. They were very good but they really just got in the way of the fresh ingredients, which were cold-yet-cooked grilled chicken, cucumbers, shredded carrots, mixed greens, white rice, and a mix of soy sauce and a soy base. When I left here, the freshness of this meal invigorated me. Another big plus is the friendliness of the staff. I can assure you that this is not the case for all restaurants in Mooresville. I would say half are genuinely friendly, 25% are faking it, and 25% are rude or just have no personality. The staff here is genuinely friendly, polite, patient, and happy to help. I highly recommend Poke Bros! I know there is more than one location so I can't speak for the others because I haven't been to them, but if you live in Mooresville, the other locations don't matter much and this one should be on your to-do list!
