Improvement since my last visit! Was in the neighborhood again and stopped by for a quick snack as well as cash back. Found a 0.7 ounce cup macaroni w/tuna salad for 3.99. Also got a nice cup of mixed fruit in the packaged foods to go section for later. Had the tasty macaroni with tuna in my car and my own water bottle. On a weekday middle afternoon, the transaction was easy. Made my way to where the single line is for the couple of open registers and was called up. The super pleasant (Filipina-- I am quite familiar w/the native language I overheard her briefly speaking) cashier greeted me and scanned my order. She also provided me a utensil upon my request along w/a napkin or 2. The cash back request for $20 was easy unlike in my previous review last week w/a different cashier last week. Quick, pleasant, and efficient! They are next door to a Daiso which I fairly regularly visit. It's likely I will be back to this Tokyo Central! Arigatogozaimasu!

For those that are looking for a Japanese market coming to Tokyo Central it's a great experience. They have an indoor buffet style hot bar so you can pick whatever items you're looking to eat or try and then you pay by the weight of the box. I opted to try all sorts of different foods from the shrimp shumai, crispy tempura shrimp, etc... great experience. If you're looking for fresh foods such as premade, sashimi and fish, I think it's better than H Mart and I also believe that the fish and rice quality is better than 99 ranch market. Took your express had Uni for $12.99. Blue fin tuna, so it's a must try for their premade box sushi and the fish quality is great. If you're looking for instant noodles or Japanese traditional snacks, Japanese whiskey or produce it's a great place. They sell everything you're looking for everything to have a nice Japanese meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the market is ultra clean no fish smell either.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've been to other Asian markets where I go to the seafood section and it stinks, but this market doesn't smell at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Love this market.....you can find anything from fresh fruits, veggies, meats, bread, cosmetics, packaged meals and even restaurants. So much in such a small building. It is a gem of a place and wish I had more time to go through every aisle and try something new every time. The attendants are ao incredibly welcoming and service is always so fast whether at checkout, or at the restaurants. All the staff is very nice and friendly.

I usually go to Mitsuwa, my family and I came down here for the acupuncture, we decided to stop by at this Jp market location in Torrance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space just a bit narrow but surprisingly there are plenty of Jp products included desserts, pastries, fresh cut fish.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got some Mochi, some kind of snacks. If you want Jp products, make sure you check the packages. Some are imported from either Taiwan or China. I still prefer Taiwan over China :). There is actually another location in Yorba Linda since it's close to me, it would be my favorite spot from now on. Plenty of parking spaces. Daiso is next door.

Store to get your Japanese and Asian snack and food items small but efficient.. Once items available sushi and other things, Ramen microwave available to warm up your hot meat for lunch quick lunch and inexpensive great stuff

If you want to just eat the freshest sushi, sashimi, bento boxes ready to go, wagyu beef and all the Japanese and American goodness, life has to offer, come to Tokyo Central and dine. They make the freshest sushi and sashimi combos right in front of you and if you feel your palate need some meat, they have that too! This store offers more than just food, they import your favorite Asian kitchen tools and bowls or cosmetology needs that'll surprise you. From make up to toys, they have it or if you feel like fruit galore, feast yourself with their salivating smells and aromas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Parking is enough for 200 cars and staff are as polite as the Japanese folks can be.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This Tokyo Central location is quite small compared to others.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were hoping to find warm food or bento boxes to eat, but unfortunately, they didn't offer any. There was no hot food section. I did see some cold food available, but you'd need a microwave to warm it up, which isn't very friendly for travelers. That was a bit disappointing, especially since we were looking for a quick meal. In the end, we bought some Japanese snacks for the kids. Finally, we decided to drive to another restaurant nearby to dine in. This branch doesn't really have anything special.

I would give this place a 5 but it's not my favorite location and some stuff weren't there that the other location has. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a big store and lots of things to check out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great variety and range of types from products to produce. Had a great experience here.

Nothing really bad to say about this place. It's the newest Tokyo Central Market in town. I only gave it 4 stars because I was comparing it to the Tokyo Central Market in Gardena. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place isn't as big and I didn't see any food courts either.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They did have the most expensive pack of strawberries that I didn't find at the one in Gardena. I would only go if I'm in the area, but my go to us the Gardena location.

BIG W AND SHOUT OUT TO THE EMPLOYEE WHO IS ADDING THE MEMES AND AMAZING SIGNAGE THROUGHOUT THE STORE. 5 stars just for them and this is honestly the first time I've seen this at any Tokyo Central and I've been to every single one in California thus far except for the Tokyo Central & Main and the one in Yorba Linda. Hope this worker gets a raise lol. Check out my photos for what I'm referring to, especially the "Quires" Churu puppy dog meme, the Choco Coronet reference to Konata from Lucky Star, the reference to Luigi in the Mario animated series, several other anime and Avatar the Last Airbender reference, Animal Crossing, Kirby, and other video game references (especially a random Shadow the Hedgehog), etc. It made it fun to go throughout the store to find other signs and references out there. It is a smaller Tokyo Central as it's one without a separate restaurant or eatery/food court (I'd argue that West Covina doesn't have one since Hanzo Ramen hasn't been open in forever, but I digress). They're open fairly late and is clean and well stocked. It's a solid Tokyo Central sir.

Disgusting! Bought two boxes of green tea mochi ice cream that was freezer burned and old. Dumped in the trash - never shopping here again!

Is this the Tokyo Central with the new restaurant upstairs?

Nope. The only Tokyo Central in the area that has a second floor is on Western and Artesia.

Not as big as the Gardena Tokyo Central, but bigger than Mitsuwa or Seiwa down the street.

Their selection of ingredients is amazing, and they carry items that are hard to find elsewhere. They also have a fantastic prepared foods section. Everything is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced, making it a great option whether you're shopping for ingredients or grabbing a quick meal. This is definitely one of my favorite stores, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality Asian groceries and fresh prepared foods!

You go in for what you know, and that already gets you caught up, but then you also want to try something new because there's always something new to try. Sometimes it's a gamble, sometimes it's amazing and you're like "OMG! I need this every time," and sometimes you're like "what was that?" And you really don't know what it was because the descriptions aren't in English. The staff is always super friendly. If you go for hot food during lunchtime, you will get caught up because you'll want to pile your plate high and forget they weigh it & you can easily end up with a $24 plate on top of all your groceries. They have great sweet treats that aren't super high in sugar, which is a plus. Their ramens are my favorite. I've probably tried every one. My favorite is the one with the black pieces in it (I think they're mushrooms). I still haven't tried the mushrooms, but the creamy broth mix is everything. Their sparkling sodas are always delicious. My favorite is the Hello Kitty strawberry one. I told all my friends about it, and me and my sister go regularly. My sister loves the banana milk! Definitely recommend!
