waooo i lov lov lov this location !! there is a tokyo central near me as well, but this one has so much variety !! from the soups, chips, noodles, fish, etc. could spent a lot of time here

A smaller Tokyo central. It was clean and check out was fast. They even do sandwich catering! I got my hair dye from here.

This place is abit off vibe then the one in OC. Stopped by to get some snack upon it opens but it just didn't feel warm or welcome vibe at all. The place has a huge parking lot so it helps but it's not quite clean both outside and inside. Also not well organized as I expected as in OC (nice and neat). The food hall used to have a lot of vendor, now just less than a handful. The market itself is less impressive and as I walked by the fruits & veggies...not quite impressed at all. Not quite fresh or well stack. Found what I was looking for so I got and pay with nice white cashier and I left.

If you only have 10 seconds to read this review, then here's my recommendation: This is a great place to buy eggs! At this writing, their eggs are 499 a dozen, which is cheaper than most major supermarkets. But that's not the major reason, the main reason is there eggs are great quality. But if you have more time, or much more time, then this is a huge store of Japanese groceries, toys, cosmetics, and knickknacks. The store has huge selections of everything you could imagine for the house. Japanese vegetables and food items are their specialties. Staff is eager to help, and efficient. Store is well organized and clean. Prices are fairly reasonable, though I feel they are slightly higher than Daiso.

The biggest Japanese market in California. Didn't disappoint. Felt like a smaller Don Quixote with Japanese kitchen supplies, beauty products, and some toys. They have a great selection of Japanese and Asian food products. They have fresh warm food as well and bakery/pastries products. Totally worth visiting.

Rotted pears just bought last night!

The market sold rotted pears at more than 7 dollars. All three are really bad! Not even able to eat at all.

Perfect place for all your favorites. The sushi is always fresh and there are plenty of options. You can always ask the staff for help finding something and they are extremely nice. There's also plenty of smaller food options inside. They have a great outside seating area as well.

This was my first time here, but I was happy to see such a large store with various Japanese and Hawaiian goods, as well as other Asian foods and cookware. There were games for kids and adults, as well as Shohei Otani shirts in honor of the Dodger player. One drawback, was the lack of shopping carts though, as there are only nine carts for shopping. I guess the carts can get in the way, and are often stolen, so it kind of makes sense to just use hand-held baskets. For the elderly though, this could be difficult to manage, as canned foods and other products can get pretty heavy.

This supermarket is heaven for Japanse treats. I wish it is closer to my house, they have everything from ramen, to donut, to matcha flavored pastries. Such a fun place to walk around and I guarantee you will want to splurge more than needed if you step into here. Everything looks so good. Very Organized and clean place, super nice Staffs

I still pass by this store and every time I think back on what happened the day I decided not to ever come back again. I decided to check the reviews on Yelp and Google, and apparently this store and whoever they have employed are still up to the same negative uncalled for treatment. The review below mines in the screenshots was made 3 months ago. There are still several previous reviews too a year or so back that also express similar instances happening to them. I don't know what training is done for your employees and security, but it's crap. A running tendency is that even though a few in the 1* reviews have asked if they broke any law and would be willing to correct themselves, the security guard just shakes his head then continuing to stalk them after. Sign about no large bags? Reasonable. Yet somehow letting people in with large bags then randomly following even people who didnt break the rules? Very weird behavior. So yeah, never coming here still. Tokyo Central Gardena has a larger selection of things and Tokyo Central Torrance, despite it being small, has a variety that makes the store "big" in its own way. To anyone reading, your trips to those stores will not be wasted. Don't come to this store because one day even if you feel safe enough to be a regular goer, something in the heads of those working there will ticktick and spontaneously bam! They'll just sic security to follow you, the employees will look at you with such disgust as if you are a strange thing that shouldn't be there, and the whole time it will never be explained to you what you've done wrong.

I am a frequent shopper at this store for years. Luckily I have not run into any issues (*knock on wood*) as I have read some of the negative feedback. This location is pretty organized and stocked with a lot of items. I mainly come here for their dry goods, and vegetables. I like that they have a section for unwanted fruits and vegetables for affordable prices for people like me who can't afford much. They are almost nearly going bad but most of them are still salvageable and decent quality and condition. They also sell a ton of merchandise and licensed products and brands on the side. A quick go-to for conveniency.

You go in for what you know, and that already gets you caught up, but then you also want to try something new because there's always something new to try. Sometimes it's a gamble, sometimes it's amazing and you're like "OMG! I need this every time," and sometimes you're like "what was that?" And you really don't know what it was because the descriptions aren't in English. The staff is always super friendly. If you go for hot food during lunchtime, you will get caught up because you'll want to pile your plate high and forget they weigh it & you can easily end up with a $24 plate on top of all your groceries. They have great sweet treats that aren't super high in sugar, which is a plus. Their ramens are my favorite. I've probably tried every one. My favorite is the one with the black pieces in it (I think they're mushrooms). I still haven't tried the mushrooms, but the creamy broth mix is everything. Their sparkling sodas are always delicious. My favorite is the Hello Kitty strawberry one. I told all my friends about it, and me and my sister go regularly. My sister loves the banana milk! Definitely recommend!
