A bona fide hole in the wall restaurant. It is pretty hard to come across but the inside is so cute. I went on a weekend and it was empty, so the service was pretty fast, though the service hours are a little short. I had the tonkotsu ramen and was impressed with the serving size. This is the first place I've had ramen that doesn't give you a single paper thin slice of pork belly for protein. It tasted pretty good and they were generous with toppings. My girlfriend had the sashimi rice bowl and she said it was pretty tasty as well. Definitely a great find for the prices they offer. read more

The service was great, attentive and happy to answer our questions as first timers. The feel of the restaurant was like we were actually in Tokyo, the food felt like something we would find in Japan. My buddy and I used to come here back when they served Japanese street food and we thought it was pretty good. Came back and found that they changed their menu to be all you can eat katsu curry and ramen. I thought maybe the service would be worse now or maybe the food quality would drop but that wasn't the case at all! The staff is very kind and helpful. Even though the menu is all you can eat, they still give recommendations and the service is really fast. I could tell that they are cooking orders as they come in rather than keeping stuff on a heating tray all day. Great decorations and vibe to the restaurant as well. Overall even better than when we came in the past! Will definitely come by here again soon read more

Delicious food, cute location, and super friendly owners. They were so sweet to us. We had gotten there kinda late and they happened to have run out of ramen broth, they felt so bad so they comp'd us some stuff. But even if they hadn't we still would've gladly ordered more and paid full price. I tried Japanese curry for the first time and it was soooo good!! Their appetizer plate was great as well. Our meal and server was awesome! Looked for a late night spot for yummy food and found the cutest restaurant tucked away in downtown Fullerton. The chicken curry rice is one of my comfort foods and this place has some of my favorite. The location is right next to my apartments so it's very easy to get to and the service is always good. We had to find a restaurant after a later than usual football game for my son, and found Tokyo Eats on yelp. Not wanting anything super heavy or greasy, we decided to drive over on our way home. The restaurant is in a bustling college area, with Cal State Fullerton and Chapman University nearby. For a Saturday night, it was fairly easy to find parking and get a table. The inside is fairly small, with a nice "hole-in-the-wall" feel to it. The tables were clean and we were attended to immediately upon finding a seat. Orders: Spicy ramen, spicy yellowtail handroll, spicy salmon handroll, real crab handroll, and Sake don. Spicy ramen - noodles had a good texture, broth was definitely spicy and full of flavor and the shrimp tempura wasn't greasy. The overall taste of the ramen was delightful, with a creamy and thick broth. Real crab handroll - delicious! I was surprised by how close the flavor came to SUGARFISH, except cold. SUGARFISH does the wonderful handrolls with warm rice...yum! Spicy handrolls - Not a fan! Way too much mayo, it was dripping and made me a little nauseous. I'm not a fan of drenching the spicy rolls with mayo. I love places where the spicy rolls aren't just mayo mixed with sriracha or chili. Sake don - the rice wasn't cooked right, tasted a little weird and dry. The salmon was fresh and tasty. This place was fine in a pinch, but I'm not entirely sure if I'd purposely take a drive to eat there again. read more

Can't you tell by all the pictures of the food, it's one of our new local favorites. Gf loves the broth for the shrimp tempura and I enjoy the rich depth of umami of the tonkotsu ramen with that tender fatty pork where the fat just melts in your mouth. Gf even said we must really like this place to come back pretty much three weeks in a row lol. Service is decent since they're only about two wait staff managing the entire 10+ indoor tables. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating the times we've went which should be packed in most cases. The only bad part is the extremely limited parking situation. There is chained off parking, but you'll have to have a +1 or ask the wait staff to come lift the chain for you so good luck! But definitely worth a try while it's still a hidden gem. read more
