    Chicken yaki noodle plate.
    Steve R.

I drove by this place earlier today and decided to try it for dinner. I got the chicken yaki noodle plate. It was basically teriyaki chicken, noodles, some broccoli, zucchini and cabbage I think. It was pretty good. I would have liked more chicken, or some bigger pieces of chicken. The teriyaki was pretty mild flavored . I normally like my teriyaki chicken to be really saucy, or a thicker teriyaki sauce. My wife got the same thing, except she got hers spicy. She said it was really spicy, and didn't care for the spice that they used. My daughter got the orange chicken bowl and gyoza. She said that she liked it. I didn't try the orange chicken, but it looked really good.

    Spicy gyoza

First time trying out this place. We ordered the Tokyo roll, zig zag hand roll, chicken teriyaki, and spicy gyoza. The food was delicious and fulfilling. Service was excellent! We got our food within 10 minutes. The server was really kind and helpful in informing us about the menu. Ambiance was peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely be returning!

My favorite place to go for teriyaki chicken and sushi and they have a good selection of drinks beer that is and soda

Three ramen bowls (1$ extra for spicy) and a house roll. All good stuff!

Boom! Kids' favorite place now for ramen and "shoe-she". Great service also. Only thing that I would change is stop charging $1 extra to make my creamy chicken ramen, spicy. Please don't nickel and dime us. That said, my boys loved it and we will be back! The 'express' in the name sounds like lower quality but it's not! Great food!

Depending on which server works depends on how well my customer service is. The food is usually pretty good. But my salad was red and the cook wouldn't replace it. The young gentleman with the glasses greeted me immediately and gave me ice cold water right away. Great customer service and helped me go over the menu since I had a couple questions. When out of his way to help. The sushi chef was a lot of help he went over the rolls with great detail and fish for sushi was vibrant with color.

I tried their sukiyaki set, both wagyu and seafood. I wish they had given some instructions on the approach or order I should eat the sets of food. It was a little chaotic trying to figure out how I could submerge all the ingredients in the broth so they would cook evenly. The tempura is perfectly crispy, but the rice was a little brittle and got dried really fast. The texture was more like Vietnamese broken rice, and it caught me off guard because when I tried their sushi a while ago, they used very high-quality rice. As is typical with sukiyaki, the broth becomes very flavorful at the end, absorbing all the flavors from high-quality ingredients, but my udon got a little dry while waiting. Since I tried both set, the wagyu sukiyaki broth became a little too sweet at the end. My favorite is definitely the seafood sukiyaki broth. Would I try these pricy sukiyaki again? Probably not. Would I go back to Azayaka again? 100%. This would not discourage me from going back there any amount.

Came here for dinner a couple of times, the first time I ordered the rainbow roll ($15) which is my barometer for sushi at restaurants. Decently sized, the fish was fresh and the roll was filling. Daughter ordered the ramen ($18) with the red option, which she enjoyed with the plethora of toppings. Dinner the second time, I got the teishoku set with salmon ($21). Two decently filets of salmon came with rice, miso soup, salad, deep fried egg roll and salad. You also get a choice of either croquette or chawanmushi. The chawanmushi was a highlight for me! I missed eating this savory custard when I used to live in Japan. Their version did not disappoint! This has spot has become a rotating staple for me and am looking forward to trying out more of their sushi rolls.

YUM!! Finally made it here for date night and so worth it!…read moreThe staff was quick to seat us and take our orders. The waiter was super friendly and gave great suggestions. We both got the Tantan and of course added the extra FREE noodles. We added garlic oil and corn. The spice level was perfect, and all of the Ingredients were fresh. One thing I noticed was how flavorful the chashu was. Usually in my experience it's a bit gamey, but not this one. We also had the spicy Karaage, it was not overly spicy, super flavorful, and very juicy large chunks! The little salad that came with the karaage was also very delicious. We had plenty left over for lunch the next day. Can't wait to return!

Unfortunately, after giving it two separate chances, I don't think I'll be coming back. The first time I tried Fukumi Ramen was about six months ago. We got on the waiting list and were told we'd receive a text when our table was ready. After waiting longer than the estimated time, we went back inside only to be told we weren't actually on the waiting list. Frustrating, but we decided to give it another shot and asked to be added again. After waiting even longer, we came back only to find out we still hadn't been put on the list. By that point, nearly an hour had passed, we were hungry, and we ended up leaving. I understand technology issues happen, but it was disappointing, especially when we watched people who arrived after us get seated before us. A few months later, we decided to try again. This time we were seated, but the experience still wasn't great. We asked if any booth seating was available because the bar-style seating isn't very comfortable for us. We were told there weren't any available at the moment, but that they would transfer us when one opened up. When a booth became available, it was immediately given to another party that arrived after us. When we asked about it, we were told we would have needed to be on a waitlist for a booth. That wasn't communicated to us beforehand. We asked to be added to the booth waitlist, but despite several booths opening throughout our meal, nobody ever followed up with us again. The ramen itself was okay, but the tonkotsu ramen was much spicier than I expected. The menu didn't clearly indicate the spice level, and I wasn't aware that the spice couldn't be adjusted. I later found out I would have needed to request the spicy component on the side. I think having clearer menu descriptions and spice-level information would help avoid that confusion. Not the employees' fault, just disappointing. Between the waiting list issues during my first visit and the lack of communication during my second visit, I left feeling more frustrated than satisfied. I felt like I was really annoying the staff both times and there was no remedy or explanation offered for the issues. As someone who has worked a lot in customer service I know how it feels to be on the other end of a difficult customer and I truly wasn't trying to be a jerk :( I know many people love this place, but after two disappointing experiences, I don't see myself returning.

I dunno why, I guess maybe not that popular with the local customers, like everything Teriyaki and Sushi and fried Tempura. Everybody has those, but no actual Sukiyaki! So I was happy to see Sukiyaki in the name of this restaurant and see it on the menu! I just wish it was closer to me in Red Bluff and not all the way down here in Sacramento. I was in the area, so I had a chance to stop in. I came with one other friend that was interested in trying the Sukiyaki as well. They offer sushi on the menu as well as all the more common Japanese dishes like Teriyaki. That's kinda like the sweet and sour of Chinese food, it's everywhere. Service was super friendly and I ordered the Beef Sukiyaki and my friend ordered the Chicken Sukiyaki. For sort of an appetizer we ordered some salmon sashimi. Tea to drink for us. The sashimi comes out first. Decent sized portion and the salmon was super tender melt in your mouth like it should be for sashimi. Then our big bowls arrive. My beef sukiyaki smelled wonderful. The chicken sukiyaki was good smelling too, but not as strong as the beef version. They both were super hot, so we needed to let them cool a little. Meanwhile I used my chopsticks and pulled out some of the beef. Blow to cool and tasted it. Wow, this was super good flavor and tender, not all chewy like it could be. The broth was seasoned just right, just the right sweetness and saltiness combined with tofu and veggies. The noodles were cooked just perfect. The chicken version, my friend liked a lot. She's not a big red meat eater like me, so it was good they offered a chicken version. The portions in the bowl were so big, we barely finished and were stuffed. I'll definitely come back here again if I'm in the area. This is way better than Vietnamese Pho that's for sure.
