The server were very friendly and attentive. The food, don't get me started, it was soooo good. The edamame that I ordered were flavorful and spicy, just the way I like it. The rolls were seasoned to perfection and very filling when it comes to portion. Definitely a regular spot to visit.

Had a great sushi culinary experience with my wife for lunch. We ordered the Chefs special sashimi bowl, the Chefs special King roll and the double spicy roll. Chef offered us a complimentary special salad which was delicious. Every dish was outstanding and large. The table service was attentive very helpful. We sent our compliments to the. Chef and he came to our table to greet us..[[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was peaceful, and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We've eaten here several times. Also, great menu.

Been here two times with my family and the sushi is delicious and fresh. The Gia roll is one of my favorite rolls of all time! Highly recommend. The Tiger Roll is very delicious too. The edamame is also perfectly seasoned, not too salty or plain like other places I've been to. Service is great, servers are friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the store exudes a chill and welcoming vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will come again.

    Chicken yaki noodle plate.

I drove by this place earlier today and decided to try it for dinner. I got the chicken yaki noodle plate. It was basically teriyaki chicken, noodles, some broccoli, zucchini and cabbage I think. It was pretty good. I would have liked more chicken, or some bigger pieces of chicken. The teriyaki was pretty mild flavored . I normally like my teriyaki chicken to be really saucy, or a thicker teriyaki sauce. My wife got the same thing, except she got hers spicy. She said it was really spicy, and didn't care for the spice that they used. My daughter got the orange chicken bowl and gyoza. She said that she liked it. I didn't try the orange chicken, but it looked really good.

    Spicy gyoza

First time trying out this place. We ordered the Tokyo roll, zig zag hand roll, chicken teriyaki, and spicy gyoza. The food was delicious and fulfilling. Service was excellent! We got our food within 10 minutes. The server was really kind and helpful in informing us about the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was peaceful and relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be returning!

My favorite place to go for teriyaki chicken and sushi and they have a good selection of drinks beer that is and soda

Three ramen bowls (1$ extra for spicy) and a house roll. All good stuff!

Boom! Kids' favorite place now for ramen and "shoe-she". Great service also. Only thing that I would change is stop charging $1 extra to make my creamy chicken ramen, spicy. Please don't nickel and dime us. That said, my boys loved it and we will be back! The 'express' in the name sounds like lower quality but it's not! Great food!

We are glad we did and we'll probably return due to the freshness of their food. The rainbow roll was just right not too fishy. The chicken teriyaki, miso and edamame also tasted fresh and delicious. Some other sushi places usually have a similar taste or the chicken doesn't taste as fresh but here, the food was of a different quality. The edamame too tasted different with what they called the "spicy edamame". It wasn't your typical chili flake spice; this one tasted like a bit of gochujang or miso paste. It was a nice change from what you normally get at other Japanese places. The inside is just on the smaller scale so if you have a large group, it may not work out especially if they are busy. They also do not have an outdoor area. So, I would say 1-4person group would work. We came on a Friday evening and there was only 1 table of 2 left for us. So, we will definitely be back. We recommend this spot if you are in the area and want to eat good quality Japanese food!

There's always something new and exciting to try, and many of the ingredients and fish are sourced directly from Japan. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about what they're serving... I was amazed when they explained that one of the fish had been raised on a diet that included orange peels. The level of care and attention to detail is incredible. Everything I've had here has been exceptionally fresh and delicious. In fact, I keep bringing more friends and family with me each time because I want everyone to experience it. If you're planning to visit on a Friday, I highly recommend arriving around 5:30 PM if you want a good chance at getting a seat because it's small. This place is absolutely worth it.

My partner and I each got a lunch set. Salad was great and so were the croquette and corn chawanmushi. Galbi was a little fatty but still good. Soft shell crab was too much crunch. Miso soup was nice and had mini scallops except the first scallop was still cold inside (I guess it was freshly put in and not overcooked). Service was good and only two other tables present. I tried their sukiyaki set, both wagyu and seafood. I wish they had given some instructions on the approach or order I should eat the sets of food. It was a little chaotic trying to figure out how I could submerge all the ingredients in the broth so they would cook evenly. The tempura is perfectly crispy, but the rice was a little brittle and got dried really fast. The texture was more like Vietnamese broken rice, and it caught me off guard because when I tried their sushi a while ago, they used very high-quality rice. As is typical with sukiyaki, the broth becomes very flavorful at the end, absorbing all the flavors from high-quality ingredients, but my udon got a little dry while waiting. Since I tried both set, the wagyu sukiyaki broth became a little too sweet at the end. My favorite is definitely the seafood sukiyaki broth. Would I try these pricy sukiyaki again? Probably not. Would I go back to Azayaka again? 100%. This would not discourage me from going back there any amount.

Big open seating area with booths along the wall, standard tables in the middle, and a sushi bar up front. It's casual, quick, and comfy... perfect for what it is. Food: 10/10 We kicked it off with the garlic edamame, which came out nice and hot, perfectly seasoned, and not too heavy on the garlic. For rolls, we got the King Kong Roll, deep fried, and the Sundown Roll (no unagi for me)and wow... that King Kong Roll slapped. Definitely the star of the show. I dunno why, I guess maybe not that popular with the local customers, like everything Teriyaki and Sushi and fried Tempura. Everybody has those, but no actual Sukiyaki! So I was happy to see Sukiyaki in the name of this restaurant and see it on the menu! I just wish it was closer to me in Red Bluff and not all the way down here in Sacramento. I was in the area, so I had a chance to stop in. I came with one other friend that was interested in trying the Sukiyaki as well. They offer sushi on the menu as well as all the more common Japanese dishes like Teriyaki. That's kinda like the sweet and sour of Chinese food, it's everywhere. Service was super friendly and I ordered the Beef Sukiyaki and my friend ordered the Chicken Sukiyaki. For sort of an appetizer we ordered some salmon sashimi. Tea to drink for us. The sashimi comes out first. Decent sized portion and the salmon was super tender melt in your mouth like it should be for sashimi. Then our big bowls arrive. My beef sukiyaki smelled wonderful. The chicken sukiyaki was good smelling too, but not as strong as the beef version. They both were super hot, so we needed to let them cool a little. Meanwhile I used my chopsticks and pulled out some of the beef. Blow to cool and tasted it. Wow, this was super good flavor and tender, not all chewy like it could be. The broth was seasoned just right, just the right sweetness and saltiness combined with tofu and veggies. The noodles were cooked just perfect. The chicken version, my friend liked a lot. She's not a big red meat eater like me, so it was good they offered a chicken version. The portions in the bowl were so big, we barely finished and were stuffed. I'll definitely come back here again if I'm in the area. This is way better than Vietnamese Pho that's for sure.
