It's true that Tokyo Joe doesn't have as much real estate as Tokio 7, but they still have some fantastic clothes at great prices. During my last visit, I spied (with my little eye) a hot pink Nanette Lepore dress, a fuzzy black Club Monaco sweater dress, and a black and white Diane Von Furstenberg print dress, all which were priced below $70. Awesome. And I didn't find the staff to be the least bit snooty. So there.

New fave cap for Spring! So psyched to have found this for $8 yesterday !

Been my go-to for vintage clothing, shoes & especially accessories for at least 15 years. Tiny shop, but they seriously always have just what I need - something super unique and fabulous for a very good price. Yesterday I found JUST the hat I was searching for for weeks (see pic) - had gone to countless large or pricier shops & found nada- then I stepped into Tokyo Joe and spotted it - down to the color & fabric (a lil too big, but who cares for $8) - snatched it & another one up in seconds...."why didn't I just come here in the first place?" Was & is always my thought when I stop by. They blow Buffalo Exchange (next door) to smithereens. Almost everything is a "must have" - special, unique & often amazing @ Tokyo Joe's whereas you're lucky to find 1 or 2 items you can describe that way at most average vintage shops like L Train, or Buffalo Exchange which is just used clothing & shoes - & mostly duds or cliche items not worth the sorting effort. At least L Train/No Relation have true vintage. But the thing about stores that kind of "pre-select" items is that usually they're pretty pricey - not Tokyo Joe! They're like a personal shopper on an EBT budget. Lol!

Note that I've previously stepped inside the shop to survey the selection, and last night I stopped in for what was only supposed to be a quick moment... The owner greeted me and almost immediately started talking prices. This is $20 dollars and we have that for $25 dollars, but this is a little more expensive, and that's this price. Oh, that fascinator is beautiful on you and you can put it layaway. It was just $79 dollars, mind you. Excuse me? It's such a turn-off when people see brown skin and assume that the purchase would be unaffordable without a payment plan! Not to mention, I started off by noting that I was only taking a quick peek on my way to pick up my Nordstrom purchase. Though I promptly told her that I don't need layaway and I pay for things outright, I had already decided that I wouldn't be buying from there. Her fixation on talking to me about price was all I needed to hear. Nothing disgusts me more than when people make assumptions! I have beautiful vintage hats in my collection, fine jewelry and quality costume jewelry, and beautiful bags that I've purchased abroad. She could've had a repeat customer who prioritizes quality goods and, more importantly, quality service.

I feel like it's free aromatherapy because they have tons of diffusers going on but never overwhelming. I also appreciate this location is wheelchair accessible. The employees are helpful and never pushy. It has the usual stock of home goods and clothing for men and women, but I don't think this location is particularly large if you're looking for the full array of what Muji offers.

If I could rate Muji's customer service separately from its products, it would be one star…read more The problem isn't that mistakes happen--it's how Muji handles them. My order arrived with missing items despite paying oversized shipping and waiting days for delivery. Since then, I've been stuck in an endless cycle of apologies with almost no action. After nearly a week of emailing back and forth, I was asked to provide my order details again. Why? The entire email trail already contains everything they need. Instead of reviewing the case history, each representative seems to start from scratch, wasting the customer's time because they can't be bothered to read their own correspondence. Muji has mastered the art of apologizing without actually resolving anything. Every response is filled with sympathy and promises to "look into it," yet there is no urgency whatsoever to fix a mistake that was entirely their responsibility. Once they have your money, you're left waiting while your case sits in limbo. For a company that promotes quality and simplicity, their customer service is anything but. Poor communication, zero ownership, endless delays, and customers forced to repeatedly chase for updates. Paying extra for oversized shipping clearly doesn't translate to better service when something goes wrong. If you're lucky enough to receive your order intact, you'll probably have a good experience. But if there's a problem, don't expect Muji to treat it like a priority. Based on my experience, their customer service is all apologies and no accountability.
