My daughter made reservations for her graduation dinner. This is a very beautiful restaurant with elaborate decor. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. I ordered the Tokyo Duck which was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. I also order dessert which I cannot recall the name but it was a caramel based pudding with torched marshmallow topping. I included a photo of it along with my partially consumed duck. We went as a party of 10 and there is so much that went wrong! The food was sub par for the price that we paid. Very disappointing and the rolls were extremely tiny. The food is very overpriced for the quality and quantity. The waitress took forever to refill our beverages and when she did she gave us Luke warm soda with no ice. Just wanted to point out that it was just mainly our table of 10 and maybe two other people in this entire restaurant. We felt ignored and it took forever to order! We also did not like that The food came out one by one! Some will be done with their food and others will not have their food come out until another 30 minutes or so. The timing of the food was discombobulated and absolutely chaotic. The same goes for the drinks. Half of the table will get their beverage and the other half would have to wait another 15 minutes to receive their drinks. We were in this restaurant for a total of almost 3 hours! Overall, the food was underwhelming, overpriced, and the service was horrible. The timing of the food and drinks being served was confusing and just made no sense. The pics posted are deceiving as the rolls came out tiny! This place should've definitely stayed a blue sushi because this "upgrade" is horrific! I came here for a birthday party on Sunday and we had the private event room! It's beautifully lit and decorated! Don't ask me what all of the appetizers were called but they were all soooo delicious! I love that this restaurant is Japanese inspired but infused with so many different cultures! You can tell they put a ton of thought into each dish. They have happy hour from 4-7 on Sundays so you bet we were taking advantage! The drinks are perfectly crafted.. it's an art that you can make drinks taste and look this good! For my main dish I had an Alaska roll and it was amazing. I would highly recommend coming here for a romantic date night or come eat outside on the patio while the kids play at the park nearby! 10/10! read more

Overall it was really not a good experience. The sushi was average at best. The service was almost non existent and the restaurant was nearly empty so there is no excuse. We were a party of 8 so of course the gratuity was included, it would've been really nice if one of the other servers who had absolutely no tables at least came over to support our main server, just a bit. Our food was brought out without utensils, no wasabi or soy sauce no check ins to see if anything was needed. I'm not sure if it's the server or the kitchen that needed to do the final check before sending out the plates but either way they shouldn't have hit our table in that condition Overall it was a disappointing experience. On the positive side the ambiance is really nice, but not worth going back unless they really change their service and step up the quality of their dishes. I feel like what you really end up paying for is the location and the decor. You're definitely not paying for good service or high-quality food. It was decent. Their scallop oyster special is awesome! Their huanchaena is okay but without ANY hard boiled eggs! They only have an Amarillo aji sauce but no verde. And their lomo saltado did not have enough meat. It was mostly veggies with like a few strips of sirloin... for over 20$, definitely will go to places like el patio or el gaucho inca instead. I can also make it at home with better quality (would upload a pic but i doubt that is allowed on yelp). For those reasons, I am giving it a middle of the road score. My friend and I checked out this Fusion restaurant last week. The atmosphere was unique and vibrant, happy hr was amazing , the service was top notch . We opted out for some happy hr apps such as pork belly baos and spicy honey shrimp pops (were not spicy really, but super delicious ) for $8 each, then decided to split Grilled octopus Peruvian style and Tropical sushi roll. We tried few drinks as well , which were a great price for happy hr, and for dessert we had this heavenly tasting custard/flan like dessert . We ll be def back to try more of the rest of the menu. Extremely disappointing experience, would NOT recommend -- started off good, but went downhill fast. We came here tonight with our family of 7 (though two of those are toddlers, ages 2 and 3), and honestly, it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had in a while. Things started off promising -- our server was friendly at first, and the appetizers came out quickly and tasted pretty good. But after that, everything just fell apart. We waited at least 30 minutes for our main dishes to come out, and when they finally did, the quality was all over the place. The sushi was a joke -- maybe 10% fish and 90% rice, and it didn't even come with soy sauce, ginger, or wasabi. We had to ask for those separately. The potatoes in a couple of our dishes, including the tuna nikkei and lomo saltado, were undercooked, which is unacceptable for a restaurant at this price point. The ramen was basically a bowl of plain noodle soup with random vegetables tossed in -- definitely not authentic ramen, not even close. The beer was served straight in the bottle, with no chilled glass or cup. To make things worse, our waitress barely checked on us after the appetizers came out. She never came to refill our waters, not even once. Service just got slower and less attentive as the night went on. And to top it all off, the bill automatically included a tip -- even though our "party of 7" included two little kids who obviously weren't eating full meals. Overall, this place completely missed the mark. Between the poor service, long wait, and disappointing food, would recommend you spending your money elsewhere read more

The sweet duck was an amazing dish level 4 out of 10 for the sweetness factor. The service was very good. Server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was frequently checking up on us. Went there on a Sunday afternoon. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Menu is pretty well rounded and not too big with lots of options. Service was great from seating to ordering. I had some of the Nigiri and a Maki roll. I also had a cocktail. The cocktail was fantastic. The food was served relatively quickly and was delicious with good portion for the maki roll. A few minutes ago, my husband and I were charged for the wrong bill by the server. We understand mistakes happen -- that was not the issue. However, the server's attention was not the greatest either. The real problem was the manager's attitude. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she was rude and unhelpful. A manager should set the example for great customer service, but unfortunately, that was not the case here. Very disappointing experience and terrible customer service. read more

Visited for the first and was immediately impressed at everything from the initial point of attention and also the decor, atmosphere and ambience inside created a harmonious and unique environment in the heart of Estero. The food was beyond words and everything from the appetizers, to the entrees and dessert were beautifully presented and the flavor was nothing short of spectacular, highly recommend the Octopus and Duck platter. The cocktails were also expertly crafted and paired well the comprehensive menu and worth a visit alone. Service was outstanding on every level with owner themselves stopping by to make sure we were enjoying our drinks and dinner and personally brought our dessert and our server was most attentive. When I read Japanese/Peruvian fusion, I was skeptical. I'm so glad we stopped in and tried it anyways. The food was AMAZING!!! The service was great and the wait staff very friendly and offering great recommendations. The ambiance in the place is perfect for a casual date night or nice family dinner. I love the cozy lighting and atmosphere. Definitely can see this place becoming a favorite, more upscale hangout spot for nightlife. We tried the dumpling soup, the olenka roll, the pulpo roll, and the porteño roll. The dumpling soup broth was very rich and savory with FRESG vegetables and delicious homemade dumplings. The customer service was the poorest that I've experienced at any restaurant in Fort Myers. The waiter, Sabeen from Hungary, kept iterating that they only had 1 sushi chef and the sushi would take 45 minutes. I was okay w/this and proceeded to order my appetizer and sushi roll. After we ate the appetizer and my friend's beef w/rice, he asked to bring out the dessert menu. When informed that I never received my sushi, his response was "I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I did not charge you for the sushi, and the bad news is that I did not place the order. I could order it now, but it will take another 45-50 minutes." I'm thinking WTH! The correct answer should have been, "let me place that order right now and make sure that the sushi chef makes it right now." To top it off, he told us that happy hr drinks were $5, but charged us $8.50, and claimed that he accidentally told me that it was $5. Again, "WTH!" And to top it off, Dominique, the owner comes to the table & asked how was our experienced. I told her that I was disappointed and proceeded to tell her the story above. Her response was basically, "I'm sorry....we do have good food though....I'll talk to him (referring to Sabeen)." She doesn't get it either. Unfortunately, this lack of insight to make sure that the customer is happy will make her lose business/revenue. Dominique, word of mouth is your best advertisement.
