The hostess was very friendly, we were seated right away. They took our order in a very short time. I got extra spicy Mongolian beef and really enjoyed it. Also, the iced tea is delicious. It is clearly brewed and it is made out of good leaf. It is some of the best iced tea I've had in a long time. The hostess was very considerate of my young daughters. We were able to split a meal between them. They had honey chicken. The older girl had sweet-and-sour chicken The oldest says it was "very very tasty". She says that with a lot of Asian restaurants they give you plates, but they don't fill you up. She said here not only was it tasty but it filled her up. The eight-year-old says the chicken was amazing. The six-year-old says she liked the rice the best. One of their friends was here and they got to talk a little bit and hang out I love the ambience with the cultural artwork and carvings and paintings on the wall. It was a good experience. I really enjoy eating here. Sometimes when it's Thanksgiving or Christmas time, I like coming here because I know they're open and they have great food and they have hours that you sometimes don't get it all the other restaurants. I love this place a lot, I mainly get fried rice here. The lady at the front always knows what I want when I go in because I order the same thing. Very quick, cheap, and delicious. It's one of the few Chinese places in the area. It's also probably the best. There's not much else to compete with in Troy. It would be nice to get more competition. We stopped ordering form here a few years ago as the food had become less than good. Tonight we gave the place another chance and ordered through door dash. Describing what we received tonight as food should be considered criminal. This was absolutely the worst meal I have ever been served from a restaurant. We ordered two chef special dishes; orange beef and orange chicken. Both were comprised of rancid grisly cuts of meat and soaked in a thick soup of bright red sauce with nothing else. The pot stickers were thick, clumpy, burnt and had a strong odor of ash. The fried rice was steamed rice with a little soy sauce on it and had certainly never seen a frying pan of any kind. Our daughter came home from college for the summer and requested Chinese food. We found this place and had a quick lunch. We were the only ones in the restaurant and it was 12:30 so in my opinion that is not a good sign but I think many people order take out. It was very good food, and the employees were very hospitable. The surroundings were well worn and in need of an update, but clean. We ordered chicken lo mein and cashew chicken it came with choice of soup, choice of egg roll or crab rangoon and choice of white rice or fried rice. The fried rice is what we both ordered and it was just short grain white rice with light soy sauce. Some places serving fried rice you find serve a yellow rice (saffron rice) with vegetables or white rice with soy sauce with vegetables and little pieces of egg. This was a minimal effort fried rice but it paired nicely with the meal. The food was very fresh and served piping hot. One of the best egg rolls I have ever ate, definitely a win in the daughter's eyes. read more

My BF is from Troy and I've never really been anywhere there before. We decided to take his mother here for Easter brunch. There was only one other table of customers. I ordered the Bean Curd and mixed vegetables and asked that the bean curd be steamed. My BF ordered Mongolian Beef with an eggroll and hot and sour soup. His mother ordered Honey Chicken with an eggroll and egg drop soup. The soups arrived first. My boyfriend said it tasted fine, but he found a piece of foil or metal in it. His mother said hers was fine. The entrees arrived. My tofu was fried, but instead of waiting for it to be remade, I just ate it. The sauce was a bit sweeter than I would have liked, but it was decent. My BF liked his entree and I thought it had a good flavor. His mother's honey chicken was very sweet and she said it was almost too sweet. I couldn't have eaten an entire dish of it, but it was also decent. For a table of 3, our bill was $32 which was great. For over 10 years now we have lived in Troy from Va Beach. This chinese food is the best I have found around! The rice is tasty, the house special anything is jam packed full of meat and they are always fast with fulfilling our orders. We order the egg drop soup, lomein and fried rice all the time and I have yet to be displeased , You get huge portions and even my picky 14 old cant get enough! Best Chinese place in the area. Food is aways fresh and superb. Nothing like the stuff on buffets or other places. I have had most items on the menu. I personally judge a Chinese place by their hot and sour soup and their eggroll. Both are excellent. The quality of the food has went downhill in recent years. The portions are now smaller yet cost more and there is not a lot of meat in the entrees. I ordered the chicken wing appetizers and they were so over-cooked and small. It looked like they came from a pigeon.
