two people preparing food in a restaurant

very happy! i was having a stressful afternoon. me and my husband decided we should get outta the house. We are asian food lovers so we choose tokyo plum house! best choice I ever made! the atmosphere was very admirable. it was quite, welcoming, and gave me a feeling that i was in good hands. we were the only customers in at the time, which was the best . to top it off we had very polite service and were given delicious well prepared and well presented food. to top it off the food prices were just right ! lastly they had pepsi instead of coke which made me soo happy! don't listen to other reviews!!!!!! those who called it unkept and having bad service, can seriously go away !!!!!!

Best sushi I've ever had! This is the only place my family will go. The jangs roll is out of this world and the sashimi is always so fresh.

We have wanted to try The Grange for ages but weren't able to get a reservation. Well, tonight we…read moredecided to just walk in and see if we could get a table and happily we were able to! All I can say is Wow!!! Everything we had was incredible! Saturdays are pri-fixe only (other nights may be too) and the menu isn't huge but it was all amazing. You basically pick either a hot or cold starter or appetizer (some of the options are salads). Then you also pick an entree or main. Before they bring out your appetizer, they bring out a complimentary small starter - today it was a small radish salad and while I like radishes, my husband isn't normally a fan. Well, these may have changed his mind - and I think I LOVE radishes now!! It was incredible. For my appetizer, I chose the "famous Grange" egg rolls - and they are famous for a reason! They were easily the best egg rolls I've ever had. My husband had the Caesar salad and it was also delicious. We shared both easily - and had an egg roll to bring home for our son, too! For entrees we both selected the hanger steak - also incredible. Delicious and tender and both cooked perfectly - his rare and mine medium. Perfection. There were four dessert choices and each sounded fantastic as well - we decided on an apple crumb with homemade vanilla ice cream (me) and a flourless chocolate cake with the same incredible ice cream - and fresh made whipped cream! To wrap it all up, they brought us each 3 small bite sized treats (I will post a picture). They were also amazing...I realize I've used "amazing" and "incredible" multiple times already...I will need to use other adjectives when we go back but suffice it to say that we enjoyed everything we had. GREAT place! Oh! And really nice service too. This is a special place...not fancy but really great

I would definitely recommend this place, we had the love boat which was a great portion for us two. My friend had other items off the menu like the hibachi which was also good and a generous portion. The waitress never once asked how our food was, never asked if we wanted another beverage, never asked if we wanted dessert, and when we asked for additional sauce, she acted as though we were inconveniencing her. As soon as it appeared we were finished, our plates were taken away and the check was essentially tossed onto the table. We didn't make a single complaint during the meal. Normally, I'll simply eat the bad meal, pay the bill, and make the decision to never return. No scene, no argument, no bad review. But then came the part that really surprised us. We paid our bill by card, but planned on leaving the server a cash tip, which is something I personally prefer to do because I like knowing the server receives their tip directly. Apparently, because there was no tip written on the credit card receipt, the waitress came back to our table and loudly said, "You didn't tip." In a restaurant full of people, being publicly called out about a tip was incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassing. And the irony is that we had not complained once about the cold food, the service, or anything else. Needless to say, there won't be a next time. On top of the experience, the restaurant itself felt dirty and run down, and there was a noticeable odor. The two fish tanks--without fish and apparently without much attention either--certainly didn't help. They looked and smelled like they had been forgotten about a long time ago. Maybe the food and service are better on another night, but based on our experience tonight, we won't be finding out. Sometimes the best way to lose a customer isn't one big mistake. It's a whole series of little ones--and then making sure they feel uncomfortable before they leave.

Having valet service makes the visit comfortable, the grounds are well kept (including the Koi pond) and the host desk is always friendly and accommodating. The food is always prepared as requested and the service is second to none. The staff is well dressed, cordial, and ready to tend to every course and need. Mt. They have valet parking. We had a whole hibachi table to ourselves. The table sizes are 8, 10 or 12. We had a table for 8 with an added chair, but I found it a little tight on my end. We got a few drinks at the bar while we waited for our party to arrive to be seated. One of our party was late, so we requested to be seated with 8. The chair was added later. I had a lychee martini at the bar and my husband got a non alcoholic float, both delicious. We paid separately at the bar for these drinks. Once seated, we ordered some apps and drinks. We started with wine, beer, karaage chicken, soft shell crab, gyoza and tempura medley. We later added veg spring rolls. The karaage chicken was tasty but not that crispy and I didn't love the crab taste, but very crispy. Gyoza and tempura were both good. Then came delicious onion soup, fresh salad, grilled shrimp app then the hibachi food. They cooked the vegetarian meal first, then seafood, then meats. They provide miso soup for vegetarians. The rice had a lot of flavor, noodles and veg were cooked just right. The hibachi chef was enthusiastic and encouraged everyone to have a good time. He did the onion volcano but no tossing of food/drink into anyone's mouth. I ordered the zen scallops and tried some of the sirloin steak. The scallops and steak were tender and cooked perfectly. I liked both dipping sauces. People ordered steak, shrimp/salmon, tofu veg. For dessert, people ordered fried ice cream, mochi ice cream, and green tea ice cream. I had the mochi (3 flavors) and tried the green tea. We also did a birthday bonsai celebration for one of the attendees - they came by with dish of pineapple and a huge traditional mask and everyone sang. Prices are a little expensive but ok for special occasions. We had a fun time overall!
