A solid sushi place with a rather large menu, right off 17. We came on a Friday evening and they seemed to have quite a few takeout orders, as well as some people coming and going. While the place is not big, there were plenty of tables available. I ordered two more basic rolls $7 or $8 each and they were quite small but tasted good. I prefer the sweet potato to be less crispy but it wasn't bad. The special rolls, bento boxes and other items are about double that price and looked to be regular size at other places. They also have lunch specials that seem to be a better deal than other times. Service was pretty good. The parking should also be fine as there are various lots around if the immediate spots get snapped up. There's also a Chinese takeout place and a pricey Mexican place in that plaza. Across the street is the tuxedo train station. I wouldn't go out of my way to return but glad to know it's there if convenient to go. read more

Stopped on a Friday night. There are only a handful of tables so there may be a wait. Food was fresh, service was pleasant and patient. Bathroom was clean. We didn't feel rushed. They seemed busy though as our water wasn't refilled and we weren't offered another sake. Would definitely stop again. read more

This place is the most hidden gem for sushi on earth! I've been passing it for several years now and never stopped. After coming from the city where there is tons of great sushi, and trying many in OC and Rockland, I have found this gem and finally a place to replace my nyc sushi spot days and trip there for it. The place is very pleasant, very clean, food is delicious and fresh! We tried tons of things on menu and everything was AMAZING! It's small so if on a busy night come early and might need to wait. The service can use a little tweaking as it takes a minute to get anyone's attention , or follow up with refills. But again the place is small but very busy, so I get it. I typically order chirashi when I go out for sushi, but I was very intrigued by Tuxedo Sushi's creative specialty rolls. We decided to give it a whirl and split a few: - Gyoza for appetizer...lightly pan fried and very satisfying - Yellowtail hand rolls...huge chunks of fresh yellowtail - Rainbow roll...8 large pieces and melt-in-your-mouth good - White tuna/cream cheese/asparagus roll...9 pieces. This was deep fried (the menu didn't state this) but it was insanely good. It came with a special soy/ginger/scallion dipping sauce - Eel/avocado/spicy tuna roll...8 huge and delicious pieces - Salmon/yellowtail/tuna sushi...insanely huge pieces...the largest I've ever been served Nice bang for your buck here - our bill was $58. Stopped here otw back from the woodbury outlets. Pretty authentic japanese food by korean sushi chefs. Very similar to places in the bay area, CA. Waitress was very nice and helpful. We had the fire roll, crazy roll, salmon explosion roll, shashimi plate (all fresh fish), tuna carpaccio...all tasted good! The fire roll had an interesting fire presentation. I'm changing my review - had a baby and they were no longer friendly toward me and made me uncomfortable, I breastfeed publicly and the owner would make faces at the wait staff, there is also no changing table in the CO-Ed bathroom, I was forced to change my daughter on a bench that was all metal and my daughter hit her head on it, I accidentally left a diaper in the bathroom because she's cried and freaked out after kicking off of the metal bar and smacking her head on the other end of the metal bench. that it fell to the floor. - I didn't not make a big deal about my new baby hurting herself. But they did contact me later at home about the urine diaper that fell behind the bench. It certainly was distasteful and unsupportive of a new mom. Not child friendly. Everyday I drive by here going to and from work. So we figured we would stop in and give it a try. Got a few classic rolls and a few special rolls. None of it was super mind blowing. As always I'm terrible at making a decision. But this is definitely a place for locals and regulars. As a new kid you aren't given the same service. We were given warm water without ice for a while before I couldn't take it and had to ask for ice for the water. We got a decent amount of sushi and definitely were not treated the same as those around us. We were seated in the middle of the row of tables. When seated it seemed a really nice spot. Until people were seated on either side of us and then conversing across us. Sort of like you were the new kid in the cafeteria. The food was good but not over the moon fantastic. With a dining area that isn't huge this place seems more geared to take out. Unless of course you know everyone else in the neighborhood. Then it's the place to squish in and hang out. We came here on a Saturday night to visit our friend Jay, whose the new owner and head sushi chef. He used to chef at our regular sushi place, so we figured to make the drive and give it a shot.
