After receiving the photos, Benny said that he could come to my Manhattan apartment and fix them in-house. I elected to go to his address in Brooklyn, NY where he promptly repaired them. Both Benny and his lovely wife provide outstanding service that seems to be a rarity these days. The employees can be very helpful, I've learned a lot about the different styles of lighting as well as colors while shopping here. They also have sale "specials" in the window. Recently they were selling a fog and light machine for 19.99$ In different colors, marked way down. I asked if they could customize one lamp so that it could be plugged into an outlet & they said "no problem" but for an additional 45$, which I thought was a bit more than I wanted to spend. Still, they can do it for you, so it's nice to have options.

They have a variety of cords to choose from and even soldered the wire through the fixture, which I really appreciated. Didn't find a chandelier, but did find a fun, twiggy, lighted tree, about 5' high. It's my Christmas present. This store has every possible part you would need to repair, rewire, or make a lamp or chandelier. Although you would have to get the base or frame elsewhere. Service was friendly and helpful. Prices were good. The tree was $100, which might be a bit high, but it's very pretty. We needed coffee, and the nice man who helped us said that he would wrap the tree while we were gone. He didn't even ask us to pay in advance. When we came back, it was wrapped. Excellent customer service! Much appreciated.

Which is not as easy as it should be, especially if you're particular and want, for instance, heavy brass silver-colored keyless sockets . At first I wasn't even going to go into this store because it didn't look like it sold parts. But lo! the nice young man behind the counter (Sherman?) knew exactly what I wanted, and had the parts (track pendant adapter, cord, keyless socket) plus a variety of Edison-style filament bulbs. Even better, he offered to put them together--10 sets in one day! The price was really good--about $30 per set, including parts and labor but not including the bulb. I think I paid about the same for the completed sets as I would have paid for parts alone in other brick and mortar stores. Plus, he was super nice and worked hard to get me the lights on time. We're pleased as punch with the lights, and I'll try to post a picture later.
