We found a leak on floor by toilet in guest bathroom on Memorial Day. Called Tom Plumb Plumbing on Memorial Day and Tom answered. He scheduled an appointment for the next day. He quickly removed the toilet and found a cracked flange face on an offset flange to which the toilet in bolted. This toilet was installed a few years ago by a different plumbing service which will not be named. They used an oversize gasket as a shim to hide the cracked flange. Tom had to order a new offset flange from his supplier and was back the next day with all parts needed. This was a fairly complicated repair which was handled in a most professional manner. Tom and his assistant checked a few other plumbing issues and corrected them. My wife and I were most impressed with Tom. He is very polite, knowledgeable and fixed our problem in a very timely manner. We moved here from Texas in 2012 and are delighted to have found Tom Plumb Plumbing through Yelp. Great service! Super personable and professional! We had a washing machine shutoff valve failure which required us to turn off the water to the whole house. I sent a picture and he was here in 2 hours. He grabbed the right part on the way and fixed it in a snap - without cutting into any drywall. I got Tom himself and he squeezed us in right away to take a look. It took him a few minutes to identify the problem and then he was on the horn trying to find the part. Had a slow leak in our freshwater plumbing that was inflating our water bill that I had tried to self diagnose and treat for several weeks. Beware, he will cancel his appointment with you if he gets another call for an emergency (read: higher paying) job. I agree with the other reviewers who complained about his unresponsiveness to phone calls. It took two calls to get a response, and then it was via text to set an appointment for the next day. But then the following day he texts again 30 minutes before my appointment to cancel. He didn't even have the courtesy to call. And when I called him he said he was booked through noon the next day, but then later decided he couldn't commit to that either. When I expressed my displeasure with his unprofessional approach, he told me I could just call another plumber because he "wasn't the only plumber in the world." Tom was nice enough on the phone and came out to take a look at my leaking shower drain. We discussed several options to fix it then he left and told me to let him know what I wanted to do. I called him less than 2 hours later and left a voicemail. I didn't hear back from him so a day and a half later, I called and left another message and sent a text as well. Late yesterday afternoon walked out to the garage to find lots of water dripping from the bottom of hot water tank...called Tom Plumb and left a voice message. He called back within minutes to say he was on a job but gave me instructions over the phone to shut off water heater gas line and water line and to drain the tank. He offered to pick up a new tank from his supplier just before they closed for the day and come over that evening but we said it wasn't a true emergency could he just get it done the next day? Would 7am be ok, said Tom? Well he was at the house precisely at that time with a new water heater, installed and working in less than a hour. This is the third or fourth time we've used Tom and he's always a delight to deal with, truly professional and extremely fair prices. I have used Tom twice in the past month: once to install a gas valve in my house to connect our gas dryer, and once to fix our sprinkler system. Both times he was readily available to accommodate our schedule (within 2 days both times). I really liked that while he was available by phone, he was happy to correspond via email (usually replied within 2 hours). I could either send him a picture of my problem or describe it and he would give me an honest estimate. There are no hidden charges or travel fees, and he even came 10 minutes early to my last service request. During that visit, he came to fix a leak in my sprinkler system; after he fixed it we noted there was a second leak, and within the same hour he was able to fix that leak as well.
