First I'd like to say that the office is lovely and Dr Bun is fantastic. If you want to go there, stop reading now. The rest of my experience is not good! I had just switched TO that office from another that was equally as bad for different reasons - why is it so difficult to find a dentist?? In March of 2023 I had to find another office because the one I was going to (and liked) no longer took my insurance. I tried an office - had a cleaning (the worst of my life) and an exam (the dentist never looked at me and simply listed thousands of dollars of necessary work). The search continues...... I needed a crown - went to Dr Bun at Tomalty and loved her - the crown is great! So I asked about a cleaning and, due to insurance, I had to wait 6 months (remember my last cleaning was awful). Sooooo - today I went. I arrived 10 minutes early and was taken back right on time only to be told that they needed to take xrays because that other place didn't send mine. I explained that I would not do that as I just had them 6 months ago and my insurance would certainly not pay again. The hygienist then said "can't you just pay 29.00 for another set? NO!!!! Why would I do that? Why didn't you call me to let me know they had not yet arrived? I then called the other place and they sent them to my phone but that took some time. The hygienist shoved that pick into my gums so far it hurt. I have NEVER had that happen. Then she proceeded to tell me that I needed a deep root cleaning - - ummmmmm I actually fell for that 18 months ago and did it and paid for it and then did cleanings every 3 months for a year. NO - I won't do that again. I was then told that they wouldn't do the cleaning today because that's not what I needed and insurance wouldn't pay based on my xrays - - I replied that insurance paid in March with the same xrays!!! I went to this office because they take my insurance and they use the finance company with a good finance rate. My appointment was on Aug. 25th where they took x - rays Mind you I had x- rays from other dentists but they wanted their own. We discussed the process of all the work I was to have done, The tech advised I would need to go to their office in Delray to see their specialist and I would be working with Canyons on removing all my teeth and providing the temporary dentures. In which Canyons provided a quote on that. I never even spoke to the dentist until I was on my way out the door and that's only because she was standing in the waiting room. I had previously been to 4 other dentists whose costs all came in roughly the same. Canyons quoted 6 thousand dollars greater than any of them. After working extensively with Jenn in Delray who was excellent, I decided to use the Delray office for all the work, and they were right in line with pricing. I received a notification from my insurance company that someone submitted a claim around 2 weeks ago for a charge from canyons, which was denied so then I received a text on a Sunday that I owe Canyons $145,00... My project is going to cost upwards of $20.000. Of course I spoke with an office manager in Canyons who denied they just submitted the claim to my insurance company, I asked for a phone number to their corporate office where this woman advised there is no phone number but she would have her manager get back to me read more

This office nearly killed my husband when they dropped a screw down his throat. In lieu of a lawsuit, which they know they would have lost, they offered to treat him for no charge which they reneged on but: 1 who would want to go back and 2 they overcharge for the type of dentists that they employee. Finally, I found my dentist! Today was my first appointment at Tomalty in West Boynton and I couldn't be more impressed. Their patient, thoughtful, competent and efficient approach to dentistry was a refreshing change to my past experiences with others. I've read some very negative reviews here about their other dentists, but I couldn't give a stronger recommendation for Dr. Bunn and her team. I spend allot of money on health insurance through Aetna including dental. Yesterday, I called a dentist on the plan, TOMALTY Dental Care, and told them I wanted to come in for a cleaning. Once they got me in the chair they did x-rays and tried to upsell me on all kinds of procedures. I told them no all I came here for is a cleaning. They wanted to do a deep cleaning and charge me $400. I told them right now I am not in the financial position to do anything else but was covered under my policy. I've been using Tomalty since I moved to Florida 7 years ago but everytime I have a problem it's gets compounded by Tomalty's staff or it's labs itself. I had my first appointment recently and was very impressed with the thoroughness and promptness of the visit. They have a great first-time cleaning/checkup/X-ray offer. Office was clean, staff was pleasant and not too pushy, great "bedside manner" by the hygienist--outstanding job! The one thing I would have liked that they didn't do was an oral cancer screening. Dr. Bunn, Amanda, and Diane(a) are all so so amazing! I hadn't been to a dentist in YEARS so I was so nervous to go. As soon as I walked in the receptionists were friendly and gave off a good vibe. When I met Dr. Bunn and Amanda, I knew I was in great hands. After my initial consultation, I went back a week later (today). The receptionist instantly recognized me and greeted me by name and there was virtually no wait time. I had my cleaning with Amanda, who makes me feel super comfortable and that was followed by my fillings done by Dr. Bunn. She was so sweet, gentle, and reassuring. Her dental assistant was kind as well. To be made to feel comfortable and taken care of really lifted my spirits and changed my view on the dentists office! Seems suspicious they have such great reviews on here as on The next door app about 30 people are talking about how much money has been stolen from them and what terrible work they have had done well in any case my wife had about 6500 of work done which multiple other dentists said was done terribly and she had to get it all over again. Then i get a bill from them for $66.00 for a -Comprehensive oral evaluation-What a ripoff . They are charging you to tell you what the x-rays show. My insurance company said this is not covered even though i have $1000.00 deductable. They send coupons to the house giving new customer a cheap rate and then they rip you off. After a troubling experience at another dentist, I was hoping to find another office that I wasn't going to dread going to. After my first visit at this beautiful location, I was blown away. The technology is very up to date and the hygienist is very detailed and specific for the best treatment plan for your teeth. I had a nightmare experience with doctor Dawn Polasky. She is the most incompetent dentist. She worked on three of my teeth, messed up all three. She replaced two of my crowns and during the process damaged the roots of my teeth. Left me with pain and discomfort and then suggested that in order to fix the problems that she has created for me, I need to see another doctor to perform Root Canals procedure and pay for it myself. I am so happy that I found this dentist office! The office is beautiful and modern- they even give away coffee and waters in the waiting room. I was seen by Dr. Sean Tomalty- he was super friendly! I passed the exam with flying colors (aka- no cavities!) and asked about the whitening special. I got my teeth cleaned and felt so comfy sitting in the chair that I decided to go with the whitening (It was probably because I wanted to finish the episode of the housewives of Beverley Hills (wireless headphones too!). At the end of the appointment I literally felt like I had a new mouth! My teeth were super smooth and really white! I beg anyone who is going to use this office for mercury (amalgam) filling removing to run the other direction and go to a biological dentist who knows the safety protocols for proper removal protecting both the patient and the staff. It's been two years now since I had one filling removed, actually drilled out by Jordan and it almost cost me my life. It did cost me my career. My health has never been the same. I suffered immensely from mercury poisoning and had to shut down my coaching practice as a result. My entire life has been altered not to mention the hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost income and permanent damage that heavy metal poisoning causes. Months after feeling better I walked into the office to speak to Jordan privately and share with him how that one fateful procedure nearly killed me. I cried, he was compassionate and offered to do whatever he could to help me. I declined any help and told him I would not do anything to hurt his practice but to please use my experience as a lesson so that no one ever has to endure what I have had to. A few months back I reached out to Jordan and asked him to refund my $1200 for that procedure because I am having issues with the tooth again and I continue to endure migraines as a result of the mercury permanently in my brain. No response. I wrote again, no response. Today I went to my new dentist and I cannot get through a procedure without constant anxiety and panic attacks. It's a horrible feeling. I feel as though I was more than fair in that I suffered greatly and never asked for anything, not even a refund. However, in light of my failure to get a response as of a few months ago, I see where Tomalty stands regarding customer care which according to their brand is what they pride themselves on. "Tomalty's experience in cosmetic dentistry is coupled with genuine concern for their patients. All of our staff is dedicated to your comfort and prompt attention as well. Our goal is to make you feel satisfied with your smile." is what sits on their site and yet is far from what I have experienced. Please do your research on the proper methods of amalgam removal because even if you use their offices for simple cleanings, you will be exposed to the airborne particles of mercury not properly ventilated out of their offices. I came on Yelp and read reviews and decided to try this office. Making a day for same day was easy. His receptionist was very pleasant over the phone. I had no trouble finding the office.
