very bad experienc, went to get pizza they were late then forgot to put timer on and burnt the pizza, said here take it we will give you a coupon for another time, but billed you for this one also can't do refund what? offered to make it again but would be 35 more minutes! No refund to us keep pizza wouldn't do that so took burnt pizza home and threw it away! called to talk to owner wasn't there, called two days later we couldn't answer tried calling back, haven't heard a word since! Never heard of no refund, make us wait take burnt pizza home and so no refund for it? Awful customer service! Should have refunded pizza on spot and gave us a coupon for another time. Ordered a large Detroit pizza and when I got it home the center was mush and you had to eat it with a fork as you couldn't hold a slice in your hands. The crust was burned to a crisp and tasted like charcoal. This was the worst pizza i've had in many years and for over 30 dollars will be the last from Tomasso's. read more

Walked in and was helped right away. The phones were ringing off the hook their staff was awesome at answering phones while taking care of lobby which was impressive. Wings, bread sticks, and pepperoni pizza was all amazing! Will be back! Thank you for great service read more

My family and I have been been going here for years. They recently moved locations and there is a LOT more seating which is so nice. The Detroit pizza is my go too, but the sauce is what makes this pizza. STRONGLY recommend for anyone looking for Detroit pizza in Iowa!! read more

Tomaso's has always been a favorite since I was younger. The nice thing is you can order and it's only an hour wait where as some other places it's several hours. I was to pick it up at 5:45PM and had to wait about 10 minutes after. Seeing how busy they were with the phone ringing constantly I was ok with waiting a little longer - lots of people were waiting to pick up. I was disappointed to see some employees eating in the kitchen, which COVID or not is not acceptable. Another employee in the kitchen was on his phone walking around most of the time I was there. With an open kitchen, things need to be tightened up a little with the high school workers. The pizza itself was great! I got the veggie combo (broccoli, onions, green peppers, onions, olives - though I got no olives). I was expecting a traditional Chicago deep dish with the cornmeal on the crust, caramelized crust, etc. However, I would have called this pizza just a thick crust pizza cooked Chicago style with cheese on the bottom and sauce on top. Crust was really good and soft. Prices are pretty high and would be more reasonable a few dollars cheaper. I will go back again and try the NY thin next time! read more

3.5 stars, rounding up because of COVID. This is one of our go-to pizza places in the greater Cedar Rapids area. The Detroit-style crust is the way to go, nice and caramelized. The bottom isn't always crispy, but the sides usually are. It's thick, almost like a focaccia, and nice and chewy. The toppings aren't anything special or unique, but they get the job done. The meats are reasonably high quality. You won't get anything fancy or innovative (no fig, ricotta, and honey pizza here), but if you just want a takeout supreme pizza, this is the place to go in the area. read more

I went to get a gluten-free pizza at this Tomaso's Pizza restaurant in Marion and my experience was good. The gentleman helping me was very kind and knowledgeable and was very accommodating with my food allergies. He started getting a bunch of phone calls as I was in the store waiting on my food and he was the only person working. I stood and waited and watched as he took all of the phone calls/orders and then after he was done, he started to make my pizza. He apologized to me for making me wait and offered to upgrade the size of my pizza with no charge and I thanked him and accepted his offer. About 10 minutes later, I got my food and it was made very well. The food I ate from Tomaso's Pizza in Marion was delicious. read more

I love Tomaso's pizza! However, this was by far the worst pizza I have ever had there. I don't usually go to this location, but due to time, I thought I would try it. The crust was yeasty tasting, and the broccoli was still raw, the tomato sauce on top was cold. I did order wings as well and they were good, but so disappointed in the pizza. read more

One of the best pizza places in Marion! They have a signature Detroit style crust that is cheese to the edge and nice and crispy! If you aren't a fan of Detroit style they also have NY thin crust and Chicago deep dish! I have never had the NY crust but we have tried the Chicago... it was good but soggy so we stick with the Detroit style. We love their mambo combo which is basically every topping! Sooo good! We also like their cheese bread - it's crispy and cheesy! I also recommend to find coupons online... you can usually get the cheesy bread for 99 cents if you buy a medium or large pizza! read more

I ordered their Chicago Deep Dish Tex Mex pizza on Door Dash and was delivered six slices with the wrong pizza style for $30. That's ridiculous pricing for an incorrect order. I'm never ordering from Tomaso's or Door Dash again. Steer clear. read more

One of a kind Pizza places. Very good veggies ( never frozen) fresh cut and lists of them. Plenty of meats and cheese but the best part is the thin crisp and perfectly baked crust. Always order thin crust to cut down on carbs. Looks like my first pizza joint in the 60's. Rustic heavy wood booths, no windows surrounding the open kitchen. read more

Kind of a neat place but kind a hard to get to. The service was nonchalant at best for only having the two of us dining in at 1o'clock in the afternoon. After ordering he said he'd bring out our beers but we waited 10 minutes. I had to get up and ask for our beers , get them out of the cooler myself since he forgot.. We got cheese bread & a medium half and half pizza . The all meat pizza was just OK & the sauerkraut and ham was pretty good.... my problem is two bottles of Bud light, cheese bread and a medium pizza was $38 -that's way too expensive for what you get! We love to support local small business rather than chain restaurants but next time I think we'll try Urban Pie across the street. read more

First time trying Tomasos in their new building. Just disappointing. We could see everything in the kitchen... including staff members eating IN the kitchen as they made our food as well as maintenance staff walking through the kitchen without masks. read more

Dropped in for the first time to try the place during the quarantine going on which limits our dining out choices. The guy taking orders was rude and had a constant scowl on his face. Tried the pizza anyway, since it was the first time there. The pizza was just OK but $18 for a small was not at all worth it. The rude service will prevent me from returning. read more

The Detroit crust mombo combo is THE best. We went here to celebrate a birthday. We didn't mind not having birthday candles but the owner ran outside and down the street and bought birthday candles and would not allow us to pay her back. This is our date night place. Ordered our first and last pizza from here. Touted as great and should be given how expensive it is. Got takeout and when we opened the box we discovered that the edges (thin crust) were burnt. Not just over done but burnt. The un-burned part was OK, though not worth the price. Won't go back. read more
