I was getting my windshield fixed and saw this cute market in the same plaza and thought I'd give it a try. I picked up some very reasonably priced lemons and mangos; so juicy!! The chorizos are good, but the service is so poor that I would never recommend this place. Last Sunday my wife and I went there for breakfast. We ordered four empanadas, a coffee, and an orange juice. We were charged over $40 because they mistakenly billed us for eight empanadas instead of four. We went back to the counter, and they corrected the mistake. I assumed it was simply an honest error. On Wednesday I went back to buy some products: chorizos, bread, chimichurri, and milanesas. When I arrived home, I realized that the bread and milanesas had not been given to me. I called the store, and the cashier confirmed that the items had indeed been left there. We agreed that I would stop by the next day to pick them up. This morning I stopped by on my way to work. The products had been set aside and they did give them to me, which I appreciate. However, when I mentioned that I would have preferred a refund for the items that were not given to me the day before, the person who assisted me -- one of the owners or managers -- reacted in an incredibly rude way. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he blamed me for "forgetting" the items at the counter and started arguing over something as trivial as two loaves of bread and three milanesas that never left the store the day before. Even when I suggested he check the cameras to confirm that the items were never handed to me, he continued insisting that it was my fault. The money itself is irrelevant. What is truly concerning is the attitude. When the owner or manager treats a customer this way, it becomes clear that customer service is simply not a priority. There are plenty of places where you can buy similar products without being treated this way. I certainly will not be returning. read more

I stop by here anytime I am anywhere near for work. It's a great little Argentinian market where the butcher has all the traditional Argentinian cuts of meat. They have both packages and fresh house made chorizo and morcilla. They have a nice little lunch counter and will make hot or cold sandwiches on fresh bread. The owners and staff are all very nice. The worst customer service ever. I was asking for prices on the food as this is my 3rd time coming. every time I come, the food is a different price yet I always get the same thing, rice and chicken so I was trying to speak to the lady there about why my plate is always a different price. she gets upset comes around the corner and snatches the food out of my hand, I then take out my phone and start recording in my video footage. You could see the lady come around the corner saya excuse me and aggressively pushed me instead of allowing me to move out her way, I would never come back here again. I would never recommend anybody to go there and also the avocados & green peppers they have out on display I couldn't even buy because they said that they were bad so I wouldn't even recommend shopping there anyways. I can definitely see why the rating here is just so HORRIBLE. Keep treating your customers like crap and watch how horrible your bu will continue to go down more than it already is read more

It's funny how food brings back memories and this place brought back so many memories of Argentina! Visiting from out of town and what an incredible place! Carniceria, store, panaderia, and restaurant all on site. We had lunch which was delicious and took us all back to fond childhood memories in Argentina. After we picked up some staples at the store and of course delicious facturas for later! Very affordable and top quality! Seriously, only $10 for 12 facturas?!?! You can't even get a dozen donuts for that price and this is wayyyy better! The best Argentinean facturas in Orlando!! If you are like me and feel home sick sometimes, this is the place to go! I was on the search in Central Florida for an Argentinean place for a really long time and I'm so happy I found it. Their variety of facturas are not very much but let me tell you that the ones that they do have are delicious!! They sell the dozen for $10 or half a dozen facturas for $6. Next time I go, I want to try their pastafrola which looked real good and their alfajores. Right next to the sweets, they serve daily lunch cantina style. If not, they have a menu board you can choose from. We ordered the Super Lomo and it was fenomenal!! You can tell everything was fresh. The baguette was so good and homemade too. The steak was very soft and perfect as a sandwich. Not to mention the food arrived extremely fast. I highly recommend their empanadas!! The chicken and the spinach empanadas were perfectly seasoned and tasted just like the ones my grandma would make. The have items for sale imported from Argentina! I also saw some items from Uruguay, Paraguay, and Peru. They have a meat section with some good deals and produce so definitely check them out!! read more

We got an Argentinian cake for my birthday and realized when we tried to eat it that it was completely ROTTEN. The peaches on top were dried like it was sitting there for days. I would not recommend to anyone this place for people's safety. I have read two more reviews now of rotten food sold here. read more

Misleading! I've driven past Tomato Express several times, and each time I have always wanted to stop in and see what they were. An organic fruit shop? A restaurant with a flair for tomatoes? Well I finally stopped in a few days ago, and I have to say that I was definitely surprised, but not in a good way. So what exactly are they? A Latin Grocery. Yep, that's right, another one. I mean seriously, there are SO many in my area. I'm only writing a review on the bakery side of the market. Just because I haven't tried anything else. The facturas are DELICIOUS, (almost identical to how I remember them in Argentina) they are warm and melt in your mouth, doesn't matter what time of the day you go. The rest of the pastries are delicious as well. Highly highly recommend it! They have a pretty large selection of Yerba as well, myself a mate drinker always appreciates a good selection of Yerba. read more

I've gone to this store multiple times in my many years in Orlando, but recently I've found that their quality has gone completely down since they've gained a bit of popularity. Their hot food and baked goods are a subpar attempt at Argentine cuisine and they've only been successful because of the lack of rivaling Argentine/South America grocery stores. The woman behind the buffet counter had the nerve to tell me I could not take my water out of my purse since I did not buy it from there. Although a bit expensive (and you may want to check for expiration dates since i dont think they check the shelves as often as they should), it's really the only place in Orlando that has such a large Argentine product variety. My boyfriend's family is Argentinian and the only reason why they shop is here is just to buy facturas (pastries) . My first visit here, we decided to eat lunch there while we wait for the facturas to come out of the oven and I had brought my own water. A lady that works there came up to tell me that I can't drink my own water, that I would have to buy one. Most of the people working there were rude and you can tell they are not happy with their job. The owners are horrible people. My boyfriend's grandpa worked there a few years ago, he needed 2 days off to be with his wife and they approved the time off. I went to safelite to have my windshield replaced. While waiting I walked over to get something to eat while I was waiting. I had a drink in my hand while looking over what hot food was available. After I selected a couple items I said I was going to eat them there. I was then informed I could not have my fountain drink from Circle K and eat in at restaurant. So I paid for my food and left. Make no mistake the meats are great and the products are very good. You will not find collard greens or grits here, if that is what you are looking for Rife's in St. Cloud may be the place for you. I have been to tomato express several times. I'm going to review this place because it deserves it. My family is Argentine and I grew up in Argentina and this place is the closest thing I could find that is authentic. I've had the homemade milanesa sandwiches to the bakery empanadas and a huge selection of mate. I just recently bought some meat for asado. Moving from Miami Argentine markets are a dime a dozen here in Central Florida are very hard to find. It's excellent. read more

Tomato express is a latin market situated on a busy parkway near Orlando, Florida. It specializes in food and products from Argentina. My wife is from Buenos Aires and this store is a friendly reminder of home. The pastries and breads are really good. They have a decent selection of wines and drinks from Argentina. I've tried the homemade pizza and empanadas and they are pretty good. They sell Quilmes the national beer of Argentina which I really like ( although it's like 12.00 for a six pack ). Overall it's a great place only a bit dirty hence the four star rating instead of five. read more
