$40 pizza arrived in unacceptable condition. It clearly slid around the box before arriving. I don't mind paying for good quality, but for $40 , I expect it to be perfect every time. Over the years I've had multiple issues with my orders like forgotten garlic knots, undercooked wings, and issues with ordering the heart-shaped pizza... it's not on the menu so you can't order online and when you call, they're selective about who they make it for... it gets weird. They did compensate for the garlic knots (on my next order) but it's still an inconvenience. read more

UPDATE: I rescind my comment about their RANCH!!! They have since gotten rid of the premade ranch and now have a DELICIOUS homemade ranch. In addition, the pizza is still spot on. I love every pie I've tried. The Blanco Veggie is a nice change of pace when you don't want red sauce, or you can have both! They have a great system where you can do half and half. And I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the amazing staff. Every time I walk in they have the kindest disposition and are extremely helpful. My kids love pizza and Tomato Pie is their favorite! The service is always friendly and welcoming whether in person or on the phone. The food is delicious and we've become quite fond of them over the years since the kids went to CHS. This place is a joke. I found it online and said it had good Pizza. It had good reviews, but I never got to try the pizza because when I got there Saturday at around 11:30 in the morning the owner tells me that they're closed today for a catering job. I said so I just wasted my gas to drive over here to try some pizza and you're closing for a catering job when online it says you're open today what a waste of time money and gas well I guess I'll never know how the pizza taste because I'm never going back there. I'm not gonna go through that again so I'm not saying that food is bad. I'm just saying that Customer Service is really bad. The pizza here leaves a bit to be desired. We ordered the Utica, which is Sicilian style and it just wasn't quite there taste wise. It has few and simple ingredients, which is fine, but the ingredients themselves just don't create the flavor bomb you'd expect. Service is decent. It's a relatively small shop with only 3 tables. If you order a large pizza, be prepared for the tray to cover almost the entire table so you're left with very little space to yourself. I likely won't be back. I'd recommend only coming here if you want some quick, eats. The Utica was around $40 after tax, relatively expensive for a large pizza that just doesn't go far enough in terms of flavor. Was really sad at my experience. My slices were forgotten about in the oven and came out burnt to a crisp. I was hoping I had found a new spot, but instead spent 12 dollars for two super over cooked slices and a bottle of coke. Was sad that that no one working seemed to care. Found a hair in my pizza. This is quite disappointing since this is my favorite pizza place and I've been here countless times. Do the workers not wear a hairnet making the pizza? I would be hesitant to order from here again. I think next time I'm interested in tomato pie it's best to just go to the Los Feliz location. They never have any issues. Now the fact that your response is that I should expect a hair or a bug in my pizza? A hair could be an excuse, but a bug? That sounds like an alarming issue for the health department to be notified. I was expecting the response to be at least a little apologetic, but for you to double down and present a reasoning on the mistake that was made is downright disgusting. You just lost a customer. The vegans ruined the experience because a pizza needs cheese. Not cheese-like goo that doesn't have quite the taste or feel of the real thing, but for real cheese. It also had veggies, because they were vegetarian, which I'm not. The pizza was fine, a meal, but not bay area cheeseboard good. I appreciate that it was gluten free and didn't kill me, but next time, I'll order my own pizza so that it's something that I actually want to eat. The pizza arrived at a decent clip. And I didn't go into the venue so I don't know about the ambiance. If given a chance, I may order again, but will insist that I get a proper pizza for those of us who don't mind a little sausage or pepperoni on the pizza. It actually needed a little bit of that. The pizza was fine, but I wouldn't want to return for the same thing. I would return for a tasty, meaty pie. Yes, they can be a tad slow during peak hours but overall I love this place. Once again I came in for a quick slice and the girl at the front was very nice. The other employees always say hi and give off a welcoming vibe. Everyone says thank you and good bye! The pizza was hot and fresh. She asked if I wanted parmesan and napkins or needed anything else. I miss NY pizza but this place is as close as you can get. Hearty tomato sauce, cheese has what we call perfect ' cheese consistency' which means it's nice and stretchy. Second pizza had a cauliflower crust. You'd never know the difference between it and wheat. You can fold it, the edges are bubbly, it tastes perfect. read more

I visited this outpost in the suburban hills going north on Topanga from PCH and it has a small patio out front and only two small low stools inside. I used one of the stools to sit on to eat my 2 slices and a free (lunch only) can of soda. The Sicilian and Tomato Pie are both thicker slices and were very good. Crusts were crunchy and light. Minimum 48 hrs fermentation I was told and they use brick lined Marsal ovens. Some might prefer a breadier crust and less crunchy but both types are fine with me. The Sauce and Cheese were very good. We picked up the 18" butcher Tuesday. Real good pizza, and they have nice side of ranch to dip if you like that (he was cool enough to give one on the house, but you need to pay normally). Seems like it's a one man show atleast when I was there. Relatively pricey but what do you expect for good quality food in this economy. A couple tables to sit down inside if you need to. The large size is huge and the slices are really big so honestly you can probably cut them into smaller sizes if you can't finish whole slices like me lol. We ordered two larges for 5 people and we had like 4 slices left over. I think each large is 8 slices (big slices). The margherita has a lot of garlic so just beware if that's not your thing.
