    Pepperoni pizza

So what is Detroit pizza? Detroit-style pizza is a rectangular, deep-dish pizza known for its thick and crispy, crust. The cheese is typically layered under the sauce and there is usually a crispy cheese crust along the edges. Pizza is delicious cooked to order but it's not cheap. Located at topanga social which is a fancier food hall in the mall.

I feel like I just sinned the way I got put into a coma from the pizza and cheesy bread. Amazing Detroit pizza it may look like a hot mess but tastes great everything was cooked perfectly our bursts managed to escape the side of the pizza but none the less a great add on to our pepperoni pizza Located in the topanga social so there's plenty of places to sit and chat but we took it to go You can't order over the phone but online or in person at the kiosks

D Town Pizzeria which specializes in Detroit style pizza, and we tried their Goomba a pepperoni pizza. But we decided to kick it up a notch by adding some delicious burrata cheese and spicy hot honey on top. Trust me, you're in for a treat! The first thing you'll notice is the thick crust of this pizza, resembling a square cake pan. It's chewy, fluffy, and so delicious! And then there's the toppings pepperoni, tomato sauce, and the star of the show the burrata cheese and hot honey. The combination of flavors is just incredible. With every bite, you get a burst of taste that will have your taste buds dancing with joy. If you're looking for a fantastic pizza spot in LA, D Town Pizzeria is definitely worth checking out!

The street corn pizza is fantastic! The flavor comes through and the pieces are decent size. The bread is soft and fluffy, while the edges are extra crispy. You order at the kiosk and they text you when the order is ready. Parking- parking lot/structure

This pizza gets so much hype, because it truly deserves it! The dough is so fluffy and light, yet crunchy. The sauce is deliciously tomato goodness. Let's talk about the cheese pull. Everything about this pizza is elite. At first I thought $20 for this small size pizza. But no, it filled us up, and we had extra for later. Love going to this food bar and just relax and eat

1946 Cheese - "Classic Detroit Style Red Stripe" $17.99 - light crust - very good

This pizza snob gives this place the thumbs up! I loved the red sauce and how the crust was light unlike other Detroit style pizzas that feel like a brick. I ordered it at the kiosk and was a little disappointed that I couldn't order just a slice. (Hence the 4 stars). It was ready in about 15 mins as promised. For a text on my phone, walked over to the counter and picked it up. There were 4 rectangular slices and I wasn't that hungry but ended up eating 2! Lol. They were light, crispy, and the sauce was good. It's all about the sauce people! (Could be just a tad less salty) I brought home the rest, heated them up and were just as good the next day!

I don't usually eat pizza very often, but sometimes I enjoy Italian-style pizza or Costco pizza. When I tried Chicago pizza before, it was too thick with a lot of cheese, so I couldn't eat much of it. Compared to that, this pizza is thicker than a regular one, but the dough was soft and fluffy, so it didn't feel heavy. The toppings were generous and well-balanced, so every bite had a rich flavor. My wife's favorite part was the crust at the edge -- it was salty, tasty, and crispy. I'm not sure if they added extra cheese only at the edge, but it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The price was also reasonable.

DTown Pizza is Detroit style so it's a thick crust, deep dish style. The pepperoni pizza was $22 and some change and comes with 4 slices but they are hefty slices. The sauce cups are $2 and comes in the small salsa cups. We went with the hot honey- first time trying hot honey on pizza! For me, I love pizza and it's hard to go wrong with pizza but I felt like this was really heavy, greasey... maybe a little too much for my liking. Maybe Detroit style pizza is not my thing? The flavors were good but overall I'd say the pizza was pricey for what we got. I'm sure the rent to be inside Topanga Social is high so they have to price it that way. The staff was super friendly. Even though you order at the kiosk and not with a cashier, the staff at DTown were very helpful and nice. Currently, if you sign up for Topanga Social Rewards you get $5 off your first order and can build up points.

Honestly wish they had more pizza options. I'm not the biggest on marinara and would love some white sauce options and just garlic in general. I love the style of their pizza though! Super fluffy and sauces up and they make it to order so it's super fresh. Box is huge and intimidating but the pizza size itself isn't nearly as big as the box. This is located inside the topanga social so plenty of seating. The wait time was about 20-30 minutes though, probably one of the longer wait times in this food court. If you're into loaded pizza, this might be the place for you! Will have to try their bread appetizer at some point. IG: @ammysalamii

A real gem in Hollywood. Chef Ryan really knows how to make a good deep dish pizza. I had the wise guy aka meatball parm. So good the crispy cheese on the sides and soft and fluffy dough.

Dtown got the flavors down! Pizzas are delicious here! They really have a niche for putting the right ingredients together. I think they fry parmesan cheese or something like that to make the crust extra crispy and cheesy tasting. Only complaint is that both of our pizzas came cold. Not sure how that's possible since it seems like things are made to order? The fun part about this food court is that you can order at any screen and they will text you when your order is ready so you can pick it up. I think they forgot about us or our pizzas were someone else's order. - D.B.M. (dtown burrata margherita) - love the burrata on this pizza but otherwise it was a bit on the bland side, or maybe it's just because the pizza was so cold that the flavors didn't pop? 3/5 - Haole aka not Hawaiian - was also a bit cold but the flavors totally popped ! The bacon jam, jalapeno, and pineapple were a flavor explosion 5/5

Wow! Kids were blown away and so was I.... Perfect amount of crust, pepperoni, and cheese. Definitely Detroit style pizza, pricing is fair for what you get, great quality and taste. Located in topanga social right when you walk in on first floor inside the mall entrance. Try it out you won't be disappointed!!!!

While trying many foods at Topanga Social we decided to get a pepperoni pizza as well to share. The size is small and the price is high. The dough is too thick for me but it tasted good. I'm the one who ate the pizza. No one wanted to eat it cause of the dough. Customer service was ok, we didn't interact much cause you basically place your order on a kiosk that had all the eateries on it. The ambiance at Topanga Social is amazing. I love it. Hoping the food will improve over time.

Enter Luke, bartender and part-time mind reader. Before I even finished scanning the beer list, Luke clocks me--white guy, forearm tattoos, black glasses, beard--and without missing a beat goes: "IPA guy, right?" I felt seen. Slightly attacked. But mostly impressed. And the thing is... he was absolutely right. From there, it turned into one of those rare bar experiences where the conversation flows just as well as the beer. We're talking vinyl records, life on the road, and the kind of easy back-and-forth that makes you forget you walked in solo on a work trip. The pizza? Legit. The beer? If you find yourself at Pitfire, do yourself a favor: Sit at the bar. Trust Luke. Embrace being accurately profiled. 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for the beer. 6 stars for Luke's ability to read a human like a well-worn vinyl record.

I always get a slice first, and if it's really good, I'll come back for more. If not, I move on to the next place. Today happened to be one of those move on situations. I went with the Boston Sicilian slice. Right away I noticed the slice had been sitting in the counter display for a while, and I was hoping they wouldn't give me that one, but they did. They popped it in the oven for a couple of minutes and brought it out. The slice actually had a nice amount of marinara, ricotta, pesto, and melted cheese, and there was a little olive oil that added some nice flavor. The crust had a good crunch on the outside and stayed soft inside, but it wasn't as thick and airy as a traditional Detroit-style pizza. The dough also had a noticeable sourdough taste. Overall, it wasn't a bad slice, but it definitely wasn't a great one either. I think if it had been fresh out of the oven instead of sitting on the counter display, it probably would have been a much better experience. For me, it was just an average slice, and not one I'd go out of my way to come back for.
