I have been going to Tomball Nails for several years. Never had any problems with the service or the cost. Friendly, professional.

Unfortunately, cleanliness isn't practiced at this salon. I waited almost an hour before they finally did my nails. I called in beforehand to see if they were busy. They said "no not all all. Come on in." I was charged $45 for a short overlay which is outrageous. It took her half hour to do them. The normal process for nails was not followed. Cuticles went ignored. They nails were crooked and I had to keep telling her to fix each one. She was rough and distracted. I will not be returning. read more

Updating my review as the service has declined. They now charge for a massage after you get your nails done, they have raised their prices without saying anything to me, and the last time I went, she either used dirty tools or did not apply my acrylic nails properly, as I got a bacterial infection under them (see photo). PLEASE DON'T SKIP AND READ THIS REVIEW This was my very first time getting a manipedi, let alone getting anything done at a spa. May I say it was the best experience. Ignore the low ratings, ladies. The nail spa is amazing imo. I was looking for a nail spa that charged cheap for nails near me and I stumbled upon this place. Only problem was there were scary low reviews, but I took a chance anyways, and may I say- I was SATISFIED. I paid about like $80+ for the manipedi- which was fair, since most people charge $150+ and more. They gave me a foot cleaning and rubbed my feet as well as used a body scrub for my legs. I'm not sure if that's normal, but I was impressed, since I've never been to a spa before. I was sitting there thinking "why do they have low reviews, if they're treating me this good??" Then they painted my toes (French tips like I asked, which were decent) But the best part were the fingernails for SURE. The lady moved me to the next station for my fingernails. I showed the nice lady how I wanted my nails. She looked at the reference for a few short seconds and BAM she was on to work!! The whole process was relaxing and when she was done- they look JUST LIKE THE PICTURE (I'll post the reference pic along with the results at the end) I gave her a $55 tip and I'm hoping to come back next time as a regular customer. Maybe I'll get my lashes done there too Overall, as a new customer with zero experience, I'd rate this a 5-star. My mom and I have been going for at least 6 years now. If you make an appointment you will be well taken care of almost immediately. I normally take at least 10 minutes to pick out my powder colors, so they are normally waiting on me. Tim is a great bartender and businessman. My mom is 80 and in a wheelchair. They even help me get her from the wheelchair into the mani-pedi chair. Their quality is always great! My daughter and granddaughter who is 4 went with us and the spa was able to do all 4 at the same time, mani-pedis. I will always recommend this spa to anyone who is asking. Yes, they have been under construction for a while, but that doesn't hamper anything they do. I do recommend you make an appointment. That is the best way to get whatever you want done. read more

Probably the worst set of nails we have ever gotten on top of all the cuts our fingers are on fire. My daughter asked for almond shape with spider webs and a had gray. We have hardened powder on our fingers under our nails and hers are painted not almond, bumps all in the nails and had the spider webs taken off as you couldn't even tell what they where. I got there on Sunday at around 11:45 and left at 2:55. The air conditioner didn't seem to be working in the back by the pedicure chairs, but since I was the only one sweating, I figured It was just me getting worked up. I spent so much time on the pedicure chair soaking my feet and waiting for someone to come tend, until my feet became wrinkled prunes and a shade lighter than my skin. Then the owner or manager (she was clearly in charge, said that she would bring the acetone to soak the dip off my fingernails... it was about 30 minutes before that happened, and when she finally did bring it, she wanted me to soak my nails, but she didn't even sand them! So it took forever for the dip to absorb the acetone enough to start falling off. My fingers were in acetone for 15 min, when I finally told the technician doing my feet to give me cotton, so I could start removing the powder myself... which I did, after I asked her to sand the upper layer of the dip already on my nails. That was a mistake... when she started thinning my fingernails, I realized exactly why there was only one nail technician. The ladies were nice, and seemed to be working really hard, but I'm not thrilled with the work, I will not be returning to this place. read more

I don't recommend, but someone else might. Before Covid, I walked in for a full set& Pedi. There were a few people in the Pedi recliners & 2 in the front. I explained that I didn't have all day to wait. The employee told me 15 minutes, so I waited. 15 minutes later she said to wait another 15 minutes. 15 minutes passed again & she wanted me to wait 15 minutes. I decided to leave. Fast-forward to 2 weeks ago. I decide to try them again. I was there as they opened their doors. 1 client didn't have an appointment & was seated for a mani/Pedi. I requested the same service & was seated in the recliner. A couple came after me & were also seated. We all waited with our feet in warm water for about 10 minutes. The 1st lady got up to leave because she didn't have time to wait. 2 employees stopped what they were starting with the rest of us, to cater to this 1 person. The other couple & I had to wait for this 1st person's mani/Pedi to get done, before anyone came back to us. In the meantime the 1st employee stated more employees were coming in 15 minutes. The employees arrived, but so did more clients, so those employees were assigned to the in coming clients. I complained & so did the couple next to me. The couple left. I complained again, because I had been there too long. They finally completed my full set/Pedi. You couldn't pay me to go back to them. If they don't have enough staff, then they need to say so, & I can decide if I want to wait. I'm sure there are clients who think that they are excellent. My experience was not so peachy. read more

The owner, whose name I cannot remember, started on my manicure but then as another walk in client stepped in for a pedicure, she LEFT me with half of my nails cut and the other half still waiting to be cut which was very unprofessional. I had to move myself to another lady so she could finish my set. Not only that my sister was also attended by her and she cut her to the point where she was bleeding alot. we went in there around 1:00 pm and left at 4:30 pm due to the lack of attention we were receiving. read more

Well... Dont even deserve the one star. After 2 1/2 HOURS of this lady doing my set of powder acrylic nails they look like absolute trash. Not to mention cutting almost every finger with the file machine. Then not knowing how to set the powder correctly to where it is ON MY SKIN and not even my nails filed them on the sides and cut my fingers. I asked for a design on 2 nails of each hand. She rubbed the paint on my finger before it was completely dry and messed it up. I have NEVER been so disappointed let alone spent 2 1/2 HOURS for a set of acrylics. They're lucky I was just ready to leave at that point because I should NOT HAVE PAID FOR THE BULLSHIT THAT IS ON MY HANDS!!! I had a full set and a pedicure done recently and to say it was horrible is being nice. To start the technician didn't listen to what I wanted, complained about the customers and owner to me and skipped steps on my nails. Once I was in the chair for the pedicure she "finished" them and was no where to be found for me to have her fix things. The girl doing my pedicure noticed she didn't place oil on my nails so she did it. Less than a week later my nails were lifting. The pedicure was ok at the time but once I got home one of my toes were really sore. They were very unprofessional and clearly rushing. I went elsewhere to have my nails redone. When ready for gel part from just the first two she did I told her It looked bumpy not sure if it was the gel that was old but anyways she took it off and tried again at the 3rd try same thing so I asked if we could just change the color ok we changed the color same thing she tried coating it really thick so you couldn't tell but just made it worst I told her to stop & just leave it but she kept going. Not impressed at all :( my tech kept showing me the skin she scrubbed off my feet and also the skin from my cuticles during my mani!!! Hello I know it's there and that why I'm here! She kept trying to get me to upgrade and add on after I told her 3 times which mani/pedi I wanted. She took 2 phone calls during my service and had it on speaker. My daughter, who's 12, got mani/pedi as well and drying the drying of her fingernails she bumped them twice and when the tech touched them up she said "that's why I told you to get shellac" um...ok...$10 mani vs $30 for a 12 year old...not today. RUDE! She also burned her w the hot wax, that can happen and she's not scarred from it, but when she flinched bc it was hot she got a little wax on her techs pants and you would have thought she was the one who got burned w/ how she reacted. She was pretty rude to her after that also. My older daughter got fills on her nails and it took over an hour! Her tech got up during her service to do someone's wax and just left her sitting!!!! I have been coming there for years and I love Tina and her team. No one's perfect, but they give 100% and if something is not right, Tina will make it right. The prices are good and they just got great new soaking massage chairs for pedi spa.
