Jacquie has been nothing but incredible as was the installation team. So a few things stood out to me with this whole experience. First, I saw the pricing of our existing LVP (we wanted to match it in the bedrooms after removing the carpet) on the manufacturer website at a specific price but when I got quotes elsewhere, they all upcharged in varying amounts but not Jacquie! Second, the team who came to install the flooring was employed by this company, not a contracted out group which to me means they take pride in their work as it reflects directly on the company. They were on time, very professional, cleaned up any footprints along the way, and in one difficult spot they took the time to really figure out how to make it work correctly the first time. My husband actually used to lay flooring years ago and even he was impressed with the quality of the work! We are so happy to have consistent flooring now throughout the house and I can finally relax and have guests stay without worrying about carpet holding smells that I am nose-blind to! I will add better photos once our house doesn't look like a war zone with moving furniture and we put down the fancy baseboards we ordered! The team that laid the floors were professional and efficient. You can tell that this team has worked together for quite a while because everything flows smoothly. Abel, Peter, Elijah,and Daniel were their names. I suggest that you asked for this team when it comes to laying down your floors. So the company gets an A+ for laying down wood flooring. Also the office rep whose name is Jacquie gets in a plus because she went out of her way to ensure we chose the floors we needed. She goes above and beyond when it comes to helping the clients. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and I'm sure the company gets a lot of business because of her wonderful customer service. And most important the company gets an a++ for pricing. You cannot beat their pricing anywhere, believe me I tried. I suggest if you find a wood sampling that you like at another store bring it to their store and if they can beat the price. I did that a few times and they always came about $2.50 under the asking price of the other company. Now there's a few things to be aware of that I learned doing this process if you are changing your floors from tile to Wood. I went with the dust free company that they use but that does not mean you will not get dust over everything because there are other processes like laying down the float and dealing with it. it produces a lot of dust in your home. I had to dust every article in my home and cabinets when the process was completed. I would definitely recommend that you speak with the team that they use to come out to take up tile to ensure that they cover all of your items in your bookshelves and on your counters completely or you need to ensure that there is nothing left out on any counters. So, if I could critique anything I felt that the team that came out to break up tile could have done a much better job at covering the bookshelves and the things on the kitchen counter. But now I know, so I'm passing on this information to others. Also another thing to be aware of if you are getting tile taken up. You will definitely get damaged to your baseboards. I was not aware of that and I didn't have any issues in the room that had carpet in them but the baseboards in the rooms that the tile were taken up looked pretty bad because the paint was pulled up off of the baseboards when they took up the shoe mold or quarter round. When they do this, it also takes off some of the paint from your baseboards and you will be left with baseboard shock like I was because I wasn't aware of this beforehand. So I ended up spot painting all the areas that the paint came off of my baseboards and that fixed the problem but I just wasn't aware beforehand that pulling off the quarter rounds would peel off your paint from your baseboards. So just be aware and plan to either repaint your baseboards after your wood is put down or replace them. Now, if they are just pulling up carpet you will not have this issue. So in the end even with the issues with the baseboards due to the tile being pulled up and having to touch up my baseboards I would do it again because my floors look beautiful. See pics attached for the dust that was left on the counters, the condition my baseboards were left in and last but not least the beautiful flooring. Hopefully this review helps if you are transitioning from a tile flooring to wood flooring. It has been over a week now and I'm still loving my wood flooring.

Noah laid out our LVP flooring in the latter part of 2025. He was supposed to start mid-December,…read morebut we needed to move in by the end of the month. So I asked if we can move the start date up. He and his wife, Erica (then-fiancée, who now manages and procures for the business) moved their schedule around to accommodate my request. He is very dedicated to the work. I learned that they got married in the middle of our project. He just took 2 days off; got married in the weekend and was back to work on Monday! Sorry, Noah and Erica. He appears to have an artist's eye; made sure to put quarter rounds even inside the closets (which are largely hidden from view, see picture). He laid the planks vertically from the front door instead of horizontally (which, if done, would have cut the flow from the entrance). He matched the quarter rounds with the existing baseboards, so that if the latter has a small angled side, he would cut a small piece of the quarter round to fit that small side, instead of just doing a right angle. It looks aesthetically finished, instead of just looking "done". Erica is the same. When Noah was running late going home, he sent her a photo of what he thought was a finished job. She saw that some of corners and door-jamb trims did not have quarter rounds. She told him he had to do them. They're a good team. Noah is straightforward and very amiable. He explains what he does and is never impatient with questions, however inane. He is generous with his knowledge and is willing to teach how things work. He finished the job right on schedule, which allowed us to spend New Year's Eve in our new home. Fast forward to a couple of months after. He came back to fix our sprinklers that sprang leaks. He diagnosed the problem and made adjustments to make the existing system work. When you hire this business, you are assured of a job well-done.

I changed out the dark floors and carpet for the more neutral LVP. I'm so happy and amazed with the results. I received three bids on the work. His bid was between the two I received but he was the most prompt with my questions and as I was revising the scope a few times to fit my budget. he was very patient, transparent with the work that was included in his bid, and helpful throughout the process. When I first looked at Yelp for my…read morewood flooring project, I contacted 3 local vendors. 5tar was the very first to call me back, but not the one I really wanted. I told Mitch (5tar flooring) that after comparing with the other two vendors, he had basically no chance to do the work. The reason? He did not have any reviews. Reviews are very important to me. He apologized and told me he understood and will be available if I ever needed him in the future. After two days, only one of the other two vendors called me back, but the other guy was busy and unable to start right away. So I took a big risk and called Mitch back. Only reason I did was because he made a good impression, a true gentleman, never trying to close a sale. I am so glad I did. I am an engineer and I am proud to say I have worked with factories all over the world. I have audited plenty of places, basically I am an expert in quality with more than 40 years of field experience. I am good at spotting a work well done. The people that Mitch sent me were top notch (Carlos and a helper). I have several cameras installed in my home. So I was able to follow step by step what they were doing. Not only they worked professionally, they are some of the hardest working people I have seen in a long time. The first day they started at 10AM and left my home at 7:30PM, only resting for a 30 min lunch. Then they knocked at my door at 8:00AM as agreed on a Sunday the following day to finish the job. (Believe it or not, they also worked on a Sunday. Frankly speaking I never expected them to arrive early that day, but they did). Very impressed with their work! In summar, you can not go wrong with this team of people!
