I've been here twice in my life - once when I was in the single digits in age and then again more recently. Obviously I don't remember much from the time I went as a kid aside from remembering I was in the upstairs area. From what I understand, ownership has changed at least once so I can only comment on the current ownership. Everyone was friendly, which goes a long way. The owner and the staff were all great. One notable thing was that the appetizers were taking a few minutes more to come out (not that I complained about it or minded), but they took notice of it and gave the table some small rice balls. I thought that it was a nice gesture. A lot of places don't pay attention to such things. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. There are plenty of options with food. I cheated a little and checked the menu out online a day or so before coming here, so I already had my probable picks. Everything was great of course. Parking is pretty much street. Use caution when parking at a meter, but plenty of street parking without a meter on Kimball Avenue. Glad I gave this place a shot and I'd definitely return here. read more

OMG! The ultimate dinning experience. Jorge our waiter was excellent. He introduced us to a full "Spring" menu that included appetizers, main entre of a selection of fish or chicken and dessert for only $35 per person. The quality of the food is fresh and served hot. A true Italian ambiance throughout. If you like a quiet and cozy atmosphere I recommend going during the week for special attention. Plenty of additional parking across the street. You don't want to pay the credit card price, and it has been my experience that no one is wont to tell you that cash is 3% less. A small thing, yes, but that does not improve customer appreciation. This was my third visit to the restaurant. Usually, I've had a fantastic time. Tonight I had an older gentleman who was my waiter, he was very friendly. They had live entertainment with a very good singer. Our waiter forgot about us. Even though we arrived on time for our 6 o'clock reservations, I figured we would be out the door by eight or 8:30 to catch our movie. We waited over an hour for our waiter to return to us to give us the bill. He was too busy talking to the birthday girl and the live band to check on his customers. I had to get up and go in the kitchen to ask for my check. Even the owner was involved in filming of the band instead of looking around at his customers. Celebrated our cousin's milestone birthday here and it was very good! The staff were very attentive and made sure we had drinks and delivered them promptly. The menu selections chosen for the party included a pasta, seafood, two chicken dishes and a meat selection. All meals came with penne vodka dish and salads beforehand. And mini rice balls to pass around the table. Everyone at our table were very pleased with their meals. Plates of cannolis to accompany the birthday cake were at all the tables. Only ding was that my coffee was cold. We had a very nice dinner. Our server was outstanding. Discreetly attentive. My guest had the 3 course prix fixe meal of mussels, sole and cannoli. She loved the mussels although they were larger than she prefers. Would have been nice to have a slice of charred bread to use with the broth. Her sole tasted fishy but they graciously replaced it with salmon. The cannoli were crunchy and had a tasty filling. I had the veal Marsala. We are always made to feel welcome as soon as we walk in. The staff is so attentive from start to finish. I have a serious food allergy to onion and garlic and they are so accommodating! Even with this allergy, they always make sure I have an amazing meal!! Food was sooo delicious and staff were very welcoming. We came here for a baby shower! We also got here about 30 minutes before they opened but they kindly allowed us to wait inside. Overall, the food was excellent and the drinks were made exquisitely. Unfortunately I forgot to take pics of the rest of our food because it was so good, I couldn't put my fork and knife down haha. But we had salad to start off with-- it was dressed in a VERY refreshing vinaigrette. I wish I ate more of it!! Then we had our pastas-- rigatoni and pappardelle. So creamy, fresh, al dente. Then lastly, we had chicken parm and salmon with a white vinegar reduction (I think) and oh my goodness, it was delicious!!! Each dish was so filling and seasoned to perfection. This is probably one of the best Italian restaurants around. Everything is delicious from the cranberry walnut and pear salad to the chocolate cake. We had raspberry martinis that were made well. The salmon special and the veal sorrentino were delicious and perfectly made. The pasta was a perfect al dente and the sauce good. Bartender has a heavy pour which we love. Pasta is cooked perfect. Waiter was old school like the restaurant. Very menu knowledgeable of what to order and what not to, which we always prefer. This is my favorite of all time!! I come here almost every week! It's the best place to go after a hard week of work and you need time to detox. Their wine selection is huge!! They also have a full bar and make the best cocktails. I have had all types of wines plus a chocolate martini and vodka and cranberry. Celebrated our 33rd Wedding Anniversary, it was Absolutely Perfect! We were first Greeted outside by the Manager, then our hostess Anna, they were both so wonderful & Friendly! There is a reason why Tombolino has been around since 1977. Located in the great city of Yonkers. These guys know how to make you feel special. The owner Pietro is available to shake your hand and personally thank you for coming in. The staff are warm and attentive. The Bronzino was made to my taste very little fanfare yet tastes amazing. I tend to eat fish and veggies so it's important to me that they get it right. I don't eat steak or any treated meats. Potato croquettes was also a nice treat. They also have a great space in the cellar for group parties. I can't wait to have a group meeting here. I'll be back guys. read more

We weren't sitting long, a waiter was at our table asking what we wanted to drink! Another waiter was there minutes later explaining specials. We gave our orders, food was served in good time!
