Came in to find out if I needed any brake repairs and the mechanic checked them at no charge. I did need the rear axle repaired and I had my car back at end of the day. They set up a wrecker service to get the car picked up and by the next day his car was repaired. They set up Lyft service so he did not have to arrange for a ride to pick up his vehicle. Kind. Efficient. Human. I just went for an oil change and ended up with so much more. The manager noted that the wrong oil was put in my engine. They checked my filters and did a general inspection in addition to my services. They aired my tires! Showed me how to reset my mileage for my oil life etc. It was like a 5star hotel but for cars. The waiting room was clean with free Wi-Fi and peaceful music playing in the background. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. My mini had gotten water damage from me inadvertently leaving the windows open during a thunderstorm. All kinds of warning lights came on And it had a terrible smell. Open Road ran diagnostics on it and found water under the carpet and underlayment and multiple problems caused by the water. They gave me a detailed printout of the diagnostics along with colored photographs and kept me apprised of the work on my car as they went along. Wow Maria R, you really don't have a clue about how vehicle diagnoses works do you? Just because your vehicle was at the shop doesn't mean there weren't other people who had the nerve to get there before you! As far codes, codes don't tell you what the issue is. The codes are only meant to point to a particular system then everything in that system needs to be properly tested to determine what the actual failure is. May I suggest you just go to AutoZone, have them pull out there diagnosis' dice, let them pull the codes, let their "experts" guess at which part you should start white and go from there? I'm sure after spending a bunch of money & time on replacing a bunch of parts that weren't defective you may begin to appreciate what PROPER DIAGNOSIS is and why it's so important! People like you make the automotive service industry a nightmare! read more

Let's me start off my by saying, I have trust issues with mechanics. Open Road did not change my mind about how I feel about mechanics. I paid 130$ for them to check my car because they said they were going to look inside my car it but 4 hours later they only used a code reader and told me what I had already known. They were trying to charge me more to look deeper inside but I decided to take my business elsewhere. If they did this to me once, I wouldn't trust my car with them again. read more

I noticed my truck acting a little weird, luckily I have a sync drive that connects my truck to my phone, so it let me know that it had a bad O2 oxygen sensor. Me not knowing nothing about mechanic, I took my truck to them n told them that my sync drive was telling me it had a bad O2 sensor. The guy in the front told me that could be anything, n to let them take it to the back n check it. So I let them check my truck. 4 hours later they told me all the minor problems my truck had, that didn't need to get fix right away like a dirty air filter n cabin filter, oil change n just minor stuff. I told him what about the 02 sensor n it took him a while to finally give me a ridiculous price. N since it was Friday, they wanted my truck to just sit there for the weekend so they can fix it Monday morning. I told them no, so at the end I had to pay them $130 just for the check up. I was so pissed. If they will just focus on the problem I told them from the beginning when I took it to them instead of everything else, maybe they could of get it fix. Next day Saturday morning, I took it to another mechanic n told them that it could be a bad 02 sensor making my truck act funny. They ordered the part n replaced the 02 sensor n my truck has been driving good ever since. Open Automotive just took my money n wasted my time. read more
