We had a Christmas Eve lunch with friends for our first experience at this amazing restaurant in The Oak. I can imagine that on other days or times the atmosphere might be boisterous and perhaps hard to chat. But on this particular occasion we were one of only a few tables. I had the jerk chicken sandwich and oh my it was delicious. You could taste the grill marks and the spices were masterful. It will be hard for me to choose something else when we return. My husband had Ahi Tuna tacos and our friends chose the Ahi Poke bowl and coconut shrimp. For the appetizer we picked guacamole and fire roasted salsa with chips. The salsa is delicious. The grilled chicken and mango salad is a delicious and healthy choice. A friend of mine brought it to me recently while I recovering from surgery at home. The staff surrounded us with attention and spectacular service. We didn't spend any time in the clothing store next door but that's definitely on my list for our next trip to The Oak. Fun tropical oasis! I love visiting TBs around the country and am so glad there is finally one in OK. This menu is better than some of the other TB Marlin bars I've been to (even though they are all great). Guacamole and salsa, corn dip, cauliflower and white bean hummus - YUM! The Mahi Mahi tacos are a hit if you like Mahi (and not fishy tasting). Expresso martini was a hit too! It naturally comes a bit bitter, so the bartender suggested adding Baileys to it, and it was PERFECT, not bitter nor too sweet. It's all I drank here! Two large TVs at the bar were great for watching college football too. Even on the rainy day we visited, the beach vibe decor made it feel like vacation. Also - The TB clothing store next door had an amazing selection. So updating to add a few things. I still love their happy hour. Their Aperol spritz may be my favorite. We tried the elote dip and it came with unlimited chips. We were also told they have a full kitchen now (which I thought they did anyway). Maybe there's just a bigger selection. The store is attached. We wandered in. I coveted a lot of the items in there and they had some great hats. I looked at the 50% rack in the back but didn't see anything. If I had unlimited funds I would shop here for sure! I popped in for a look around the retail store part while waiting on some coworkers to join for happy hour. It's a well-stocked selection, but you can get Tommy Bahama products cheaper literally anywhere else like Dillards & TJ Maxx. But the bar/restaurant is definitely worth a visit! I would never order a drink outside of happy hour because they are between $16 and $20! But the happy hour prices of $11ish were definitely more tolerable. And drinks are strong and delicious. There was a super great bartender that helped me right when I walked in who explained everything so well! He gave great suggestions and was so funny! He told me about getting the app for rewards points and that I could get $10 off an app! So I got chips, salsa, and guac for $1! The frozen Mai Tai with the dark rum topper is incredibly potent, and they also make an excellent frozen Piña Colada with a rum floater. ​I'm here at least three times a week, especially for happy hour. The Mahi Mahi Tacos are my favorite; you can grab them for a steal at $6 during happy hour. I also love the freshness of the Ahi Tuna Tacos 4 total with a squeeze of fresh lime is all they need. ​For something different, the burger is surprisingly good, and I've ordered it over ten times just because of the soft, toasted, buttery brioche bun and the delicious char-grilled flavor. After having a pre-dinner drink at Tommy Bahama's a few weeks ago, we decided to go back for dinner. That night I rated the experience and drinks a "5". The dinner experience was very good but but bringing the rating down to a "4" as I think thats where the food quality, taste and presentation fall. Nothing objectable, solid offerings, but not rising to the level of a "5". The venue is has a nice layout, modern lines, and is well appointed. It's a fun environment with a nice vibe. The noise is low-moderate. We started with chips, quacamole, and salsa. Liked the quacamole, but not enthused about the salsa. We then ordered wings and hamburger sliders with fries. The wings and sliders were good, as were the fries. Good solid bar food. The service was good. The prices moderate-high. The soloist on guitar was very good. I don't care for the order now, take a number and find a table. Won't keep me from going back, just don't like that model. read more

Had the frozen Mai Thai because the frozen pina colada was out. It was a little sweet, but the dark rum floater helped even the flavor out. Had the jerk chicken sandwich with fries. Delicious sandwich, but not very spicy, so if you're looking for spice, the jerk chicken is not your sandwich. Pretty good value for the price. Had an Avocado Taco Salad with shrimp and it was delicious! The service was excellent as well.

I have been to the Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar several times and the service has been good. However, tonight was a little bit off. The was a musician playing and the volume was much to high for such an intimate space. I could barely hear the waiter and my dining partner! If that wasn't enough as I ordered a Modelo draft the waiter came back to say they were out. Ok get me a Michelob Ultra draft. I then watched as the bartender pots a bottle of beer in a glass - not a draft! So I asked the waiter what's up with the beer. He tells me they're out of Ultra draft! We kindly asked if the music volume could be lowered- finally they offered to move us to another table, which seemed to be better until I think they turned up the volume. I'm not sure if I'll be returning to Marlin Bar anytime soon. The waiter kept apologizing. He did comp our appetizer. read more

Continued celebrating Sacha's birthday month with another family. We decided to try this new location out. When you enter you order at the counter, and if you pay in cash.. you can checkout at the same time as well. If you pay with card you can choose to leave your tab open, and pay later. We ordered several menu items. We ordered the crispy chicken wings, cajun fries, Nashville hot chicken sliders, steak flatbread, coconut shrimp, chicken mango salad, chips and guac, steak tacos, mahi mahi tacos, kids pizza, and the burger sliders. The kids didn't really care for the food, they just seemed to like the Cajun fries. My oldest said there was no heat in the Nashville hot chicken sliders, and was super disappointed. My youngest thought the crispy chicken wings were just "mid" and my friend's kids also thought their burger and pizza were "mid" as well. Our couple friends thought the food was decent, but small in portion, and not that great for the price. My salad was overly sweet, but it was okay. The grilled chicken had a burnt taste to it, and was overcooked and tough. My hubby thought the steak tacos were good, but for $17 they should have included a third taco, because the portions were extremely small. Our guac was bland, no salt, but the salsa was good. The coconut shrimp was also overly sweet. The steak flatbread had an interesting texture that was unpleasant. Everything was just too sweet, and I prefer savory over sweet foods. However, the service was great! Everyone was accommodating and super friendly. It was Sacha's birthday so, we got a complimentary pina colada cake. My friend and I thought that was actually the best tasting food item out of everything we tried. The ambiance is nice EXCEPT for the noise level. While ordering our food, I couldn't hear anything but the blaring music. I hate places where the music is turned up so loud you have to yell to have a conversation. I did kind of mention how loud it was, and I think they lowered the volume, thank goodness because the noise level was horrific. Overall, a great place for drinks and lunch. Not the best place for dinner, because of the portions, and the food is just not that tasty except for their desserts. Maybe, we will try them again in the future after shopping or ice skating. Otherwise, we probably wouldn't come back unless they updated their menu to less sweet options. I give this place an average 3/5. The service is good, but the food doesn't justify their prices. Try it for yourself, maybe you will like it. For me, I have to agree with the kids, and say it's just "mid." read more

I came here with the family and some friends. I got the steak tacos which was not great just average. I tried our friends coconut shrimp which did taste pretty good, had just enough crunch and just enough flavor maybe on the sweeter side but they were pretty delicious. Also, it was my birthday so they gave us a free dessert to try and we tried the coconut cake that they had. The coconut cake is definitely the star of the evening's meal. It's very nice Inside with the decorations plus service was good. Maybe I'm not a fan of the food because my mind is thinking it four stars for me. Today we were very disappointed in the new menu as all of our favorites have been deleted. We picked the chicken fajitas and the steak flatbread. They were both just ok. I have been to the bar here before and the service and drink quality is fantastic which is what is really carrying this review. Another positive is the food quality is also pretty good and has great flavor. I don't know if this location was different than the other ones but the menu is smaller than I'm used to but they have a great discount if you go during happy hour, which is everyday from 3-5pm. The reason I gave this place three stars instead of four was because of the service. When we were first sat we had four different waiters walk by us multiple times for about ten minutes before we were even greeted. Even after we were greeted it still took forever for our waitress to come back and get a food order. I would say if you're looking for a place to drink then definitely try it out but if you're coming to eat make sure you have a clear schedule cause you might just wait 45 minutes for food like we did in an almost empty restaurant. read more

We tested Out the Tommy Bahama Marlin bar & grill today for lunch. On the plus side it's very trendy and a rather nice bar. However the food gets mixed reviews. The coconut shrimp gets a huge thumbs up, but the portion size was disappointing. Our fussbudget eater said they were better than the coconut shrimp at Pearl's, but wishedtherehad been more than four shrimp for the price. The Nashville hot chicken sliders were average and not hot at all. The street corn dip got mixed reviews some of us thought it was bland, some of us thought it was flavorful. The steak tacos were tasty, and everyone said they would order them again. The blackened mahi mahi tacos were not blackened & just okay. The sauce on them had a bitter after taste. The Krinkel cut French fries were hot & delicious. We tried a coconut cloud cake as a dessert. One of our party was a ho hum about it but everyone else loved it. The service was good but a little uncoordinated. Be warned, if you like sweetener in your coffee or tea they don't serve it. Sugar only. Water is served without ice. If you want ice you've got to ask for it. We'll give them another try at a future date & look for improvement. For now Tommy Bahama is too pricey for just average food. read more
