Found more under the underlayment after they said that they nail them down all the way before putting it on. A complete lie. They even used shingles nails in many parts of the sheeting They are much shorter and don't penetrate enough to secure the plywood. At one point they cut the coaxial to my internet and I had to fix it myself. When I spoke with the owner about the work all he had to say was that the warranty covered labor. What and arrogant price of work he is. I strongly suggest you never have them work on your house.

We advise expressions of the situation, and they immediately jumped into action and remedied the situation at no cost to us, except for the cost of a replacement door. The door was not under the original contract. Arnold and his crew are hands-down one of the best construction firms that I've had the pleasure of dealing with in a very long time. She dictated that following day's appointment is canceled. It was only after I asked twice, is when she shared why, it seemed like a drag to communicate the reason. She proceeded to start booking alternative days until I reminded her that my wife and I are both working professionals with small children and that weekends are our only available time together. This fact was clearly articulated by me during the initiall call to book the onsite appointment. Ironically, the initial employee who booked the call insisted that my wife and I should be home together. As I attempted to check our busy calendar (and narrating my steps), Wendy began repeating and mocking me about being busy; "so are eveyone else sir, so are everyone else...") and then hung up without getting a response from me! Wendy, you are the front face of the death of modern customer service/business etiquette! A contributing factor to the overall poor perception of general contractors and top of the list for creating negative revenue for your organization.

Unfortunately, after a miscommunication about part of the project, which I thought we had resolved amicably (I compensated him for the materials he had already used), he later admitted he was upset and had been purposely avoiding my follow up communication. He left the original job on Friday saying he would return the following week to finish a few remaining items. After that, I spent over a month trying to get a response, with little to no communication and no explanation for this treatment. When I finally expressed my frustration, he admitted he had intentionally been ignoring me because of the earlier misunderstanding and offered to send someone to finish the outstanding tasks, "if that's what I was upset about." That level of unprofessionalism was far more disappointing than the few remaining tasks on the project. Misunderstandings happen, but they shouldn't result in giving a customer the silent treatment and leaving a job unfinished. I cannot recommend someone who responds to conflict by avoiding communication completely.

This time, the project was much bigger than a relatively simple kitchen make-over. I hired Victor of VEVOA Roofing and his crew just a few weeks ago to do a total reroofing job on my…read morehouse and garage. In the process they had to replace A LOT of rotten rafter tails, soffit boards, and fascia. (I realized my roof had issues not because I'd had a leak, but after I set out to paint my house myself and started scraping stuff!) I have "Dutch" integrated gutters (the original style for my 1920s bungalow), and I got VEVOA's name from a neighbor who has Dutch gutters and had hired them. I was glad to know I was hiring someone experienced in this niche, especially when one of the other companies I spoke with was discouraging about keeping the Dutch gutters. I wanted to retain the aesthetics of the house, and not hide the rafter tails behind metal gutters, so it was important to me to keep the Dutch gutters. I interviewed a total of 4 companies, all with 5-star reviews. It was a hard decision because they all had good reputations, and I had been satisfied with all of the companies' answers to the many detailed questions I'd asked. But VEVOA was a chunk cheaper, so I went with them. Happily, although I wasn't following the rule of going with the middle bid (it wasn't possible--the three others were clustered together!), I was pleased with my choice because I think VEVOA did really good job, and I think they handled the challenges of the rotten woodwork well. Finally, they took good care of my property--I think they left it cleaner than they found it--and my neighbors were also happy with them, in part because they were relatively quiet. Give them a call and get a bid. You won't regret it!

Very poor experience with this roofing company. They did a complete replacement of our roof and…read moreseemed to do a good job: cleaned up the site each day, all materials were as expected, and photos of the finished product looked good. However, when the rains came, in came the water into our house. The water damage was so bad that we had to open up the wall to fix the damaged supports. You can see from my contractor's attached video that water is just flowing freely into our wall from the roof. Our walls and floors were severely damaged and the repairs were costly and time-consuming. Contacted the company and received no reply for over a month, which is when we decided to finally write this review. Everything may look good on the surface, but what matters is whether the roof keeps out the water and in our case, this was a huge FAIL. Do not hire this company, we have completely lost confidence in them and are very sorry we used them for our roof replacement.
