The washer stopped. When it restarted it torn off my rear windshield wiper. I spoke to a manager and he took a picture of the damage and my VIN. That was over two weeks ago and no replacement as he promised. Called a week later and was told the "boss was upstairs and working on it now, should get a email today". Well that was a week ago. On top of that they keep asking if I was a member and wanted to join. No chance in that happening Worst experience stay away. Well three weeks later got a response that the General Manage had order the wipe. I advised don't bother. No concept of customer service. I was out and about and needed to get my mom's car washed since it was filthy and she does so much for me it was the least I could do. I've driven by Tommy's wash and wanted to check it out. I'd been here once before during the summer and wanted to come back since I like to mix things up from time to time. Pulling in, You have to be careful because cars are pulling out of the wash as your making the right to get into line. They have two lines here. One for members, one for people like me who are not. The prices here start at $10 and go up to $35. I decided to upgrade and get the better wash #3 for $13. Not a bad price, really comparatively speaking. The one cool thing that keeps me coming back here is the conveyor belt that scoots the car along! SO much easier than trying to line up the wheels of your car like other car washes. I heard they have the rainbow spray here, but did not pay for that upgrade. I'm just a fan of the conveyor belt! My only complaint? They really pack you in like sardines here for the car wash when it's busy. I know they have to keep it moving, but I do like my space. Also, the place is a little tricky to get in and out of when traffic is heavy on the main road. They do have vacuums here, but I wasn't needing it today. Maybe in the spring when it warms up, because I don't like the cold! I do enjoy going here, just not when it's busy. read more

The car wash is great. They usually do a nice job for an automatic wash. It can miss some spots but mostly good. The only down side is that the entrance is the exit, so you have to be really careful exiting. I'm certain they've tried pylons, but I don't think there's room so just be careful read more

I originally thought maybe I just got them on a bad day, but the entire back end of my vehicle was dirty when I left the wash. It was a free wash, for their $17 wash at that, that I got in the mail. You can't really be upset about free though, right? Well today my husband goes for a membership wash. When he left it was so horrendous that the back end didn't even look washed. He canceled right away. Two vehicles, two separate days, it's official Tommy's just sucks. Location is good. Equipment does not work properly. Issues are immediately denied or referred to the corporate "tower" Be careful, consider other providers. Drove here based on advertised hours just to find giant red balls (yep LoL) blocking the entrance, employees hanging around inside and your place closed... got trapped with 20 other people and a steady stream of people, pulling in there to spend money, all stuck trying to turn around at 4:30pm on a sunny warm Sunday! Thankfully another wash is nearby that is actually open. Nothing more irritating than to check ahead, see someplace open and then drive there to find them closed, or worse, with employees present still and closed when advertised they are open. read more

My kids love riding through the rainbow foam and keep asking to go back. I'll give it another try, and hope it does the job for our regular car. When we went through with our pick-up truck, the running boards were still dirty on the top, right where you can see and step. I bought my truck brand new end of may 2022, I got my premium membership 3 weeks later at lake Orion location, never used another car wash, never had any scratches or anything on my truck, one day after a car wash I noticed bad scratches on both sides. Went back to the location the following day and showed them everything, they said they will make a claim and reach out to me within 48 hours. 2 weeks later I get a phone call and they telling me they are NOT going to do anything about it. I asked to cancel my membership and refund me half that month since it's already been 2 weeks since my monthly payment, also for that I was told NO. I have never had an experience like we had today or at any other Tommy wash we've ever used. Today I honked the horn to let the attendants know I wasn't receiving the correct package. The individual, who I assume was the supervisor, (he was in a Black shirt opposed to red like the others) e-stopped the wash, "then yelled at me that I should never honk my horn at him what was my problem?" I said I am the customer; I'm not going to get yelled at for honking my horn telling you the equipment isn't working right, he proceeded to yell back at me "horns are for emergencies". My wife then said you're yelling at us.... At this point I asked to speak to the supervisor, which he told me to roll my window up he's sending the car I can go back around. I asked what his name was, he laughed, said he doesn't have to tell me. I proceeded to yell back cancel my memberships, whereas he laughed, and said he would. I opened my door and said I want it done now, I'm over this and want it confirmed now. He said to roll my window up as he was sending the car. I did the same thing I did every time I've gone through this wash when getting the wrong package, it's a common issue, never have had this happen. I read in the news how a customer ended up fighting the attendant at this location and asked myself how in the world a customer ended up in a fist fight with an attendant at this wash. After going through this situation today, it's not hard to imagine, as the attendant/individual did everything to enrage the situation opposed to diffuse it. Never once heard, sorry, I understand the inconvenience.., you scared me when you honked... I am shocked that an employee had the confidence to behave the way he did today with a customer. Followed up with manager who offered no apology, simply stated we don't want customers like you, and refused to refund remaining month subscription or let us use the wash for the remaining 27 days that are paid for even though the T&C states you have access to it. read more

I was a long time unlimited club member of Jax but switched to Tommy's because I got a new job and it was on my way to work and jax wasn't anymore. Tommy's is a few dollars more expensive for the monthly subscription and does not do as good of a job. It's like an upscale gas station car wash. Jax has attendants who pressure wash problem areas like wheel wells and running boards and heavy soiled areas before you enter the wash. Tommy's does not. You're lucky if someone comes out to guide you onto the belt and put a sleeve on your rear wire. The tire shine in Tommy's is a joke. It doesn't work and actually stops my car from rolling forward. Plus there is no hand dry. The air dryers do an ok job but doesn't get everywhere so the water freezes and leaves spots and trails in the cold. read more

I am using the Flint MI location and am receiving very good washes. I like the tire-shining application. The only shortcoming with the wash is that it does not get the wheel wells. The underbody flush doesn't get the job done. I have thought about some mechanical way to do this, but have come up dry. I guess the only way is with an attendant with a wand. read more

I switched from Jax because this was closer. Today I went to get my car washed and realized upon leaving that my car was not dry because I had put on my wipers to dry my windshield. I pulled into the garage and realized there were spots all over the car. The guy refused to wash, rinse or dry the car. He would not even look at what I was talking about. After receiving a slash in my tire while in the car wash I waited 5 days for the rude manager to call me back, and explain to me that it's impossible to damage a tire with their state of the art equipment. When asked if I can see the footage the manager began to get angry and blame my wife. Reading previous reviews about vehicles getting damaged in the car wash I should have known that management wouldn't cooperate. Terrible service. It's a shame. I switched from another car wash program for the convenience, but having to go through the wash twice a row and still having dirt and dust, and water spots on the vehicles is no convenience. Lately, the attendants have yet to come out of the booth. It's self-directed. I'll give it another wash or two while I hunt out another wash. Came in for a wash and was hoping to like it since it's a convenient location for me. As really expensive for a car wash, the drive is a super narrow turn for truck to get into the wash and just like all the rest of the reviews the tailgate is still very dirty along with the running boards. UNLIMITED wash Subscription a plus...but there is no hand-prewashing for the front and rear nooks and crannies. The most basic, low-cost drive-thrus provide this. My three cars are never clean on the backend and parts of front. For the price cars should be spotless, suscription or not. read more

The works is a bit steep ($18) for an automated wash and no hand drying but it does a great job on my Grand Cherokee, including the back. It beats the dirt right off. The worst car wash ever. Paid $16.00 and still had dirt on the sides of the car and the chrome rims not clean at all, I was able to wipe it off with my pinky don't waist your money and time. No one wipes the vehicle down as you exit and if you have a back window wiper don't forget to remove the plastic bag they put on the wiper. No service is bad service. Buyer beware. read more

I kindly asked the cashier not to place a plastic sleeve on my rear wiper, and he acknowledged. The associate who placed the sleeve on abruptly ripped it off with frustration. I then proceeded around to have my Jeep washed and the same associate that initially placed the sleeve on my wiper out of spite snuck up and placed another sleeve on my vehicle as i was telling him not to. After the wash I returned to the cashier to ask why the co-associate did this? Both associates became verbally combative told me to leave and don't worry about it. At this point I told the 2 that as a costumer when someone asked this should be honored. Look folks I'm near 60 yrs old and then told these 2 punks how I felt then asked if they had a problem? They were running a special when you purchase an $18 wash get unlimited washes for the next month, when I went back the second time the employee rudely refused to allow me to enter the wash because I had a roof rack. I had this rack 2 weeks ago when they took my money but now they won't allow me to enter. I have used car washes all over the country with the same rack for years and never had an issue. I wouldn't waste your money with this place, I definitely feel like a refund is owed to me and I would give less stars if able to. I have never given a bad review anywhere before and in fact I had to download Yelp today to be able to write this. Nice new clean car wash, offering a free car wash today. but was not impressed with a $17 wash. No pre-spraying, no bug removal. The car wash left all the bugs on the front of our car. Overall, my SUV comes out pretty clean but it definitely would be cleaner if there were employees with handheld hose is pre-spraying & targeting really dirty areas. I get the idea of the express concept but the only time employees involved for the actual wash is putting the plastic sleeve on my back windshield wiper.
