Should note that I've never personally been there, I've always placed a phone order and my man goes to pick up. But it's always ready within 10 minutes. We really wanted to like this place, but we ended up throwing away our whole ham and swiss sandwich after one bite. It was drenched in oil and not enough spices so all we could taste was the oil. My hair dresser reacquainted us with Tommy's as we used to go to their old locations in El Cajon. They are closer to us now off Cuyamaca. The place is small but has 4 tvs for watching the Padres games. We chatted with Sal for a bit. Such a nice guy! Our torpedoes were amazing. Great bread, generous with the meats. Nice portions you could share. He threw in his freshly made garlic knots with their house marinara as we're old customers from their former location. Omg so delicious! I really wanted to like this place! We took a chance on 2 pizzas (around $65). Nothing fancy, a 16 inch cheese pizza and a 16 inch Hawaiian Pizza. Ordered jalapeño's for the Hawaiian (an extra $3!). The crust was OK but the sauce was pretty plain...kind of just like tomato sauce without any flavor. The Hawaiian had just a few pineapple chunks on it, hardly any at all. For a $34 pizza, I was expecting a better job. I don't mind paying extra for a pizza, but the quality really needs to justify the cost! We did order the garlic knots (paid cash) to munch on while we waited for our pizza to cook, they were pretty good. I may be back to try a sub sandwich as it seems like everyone raves about them, but never again for pizza. Way to pricey for the quality. There are many other pizza places around that are way better. read more

Tommy's is one of my favorite local pizzas shops. The pizza is delicious and they don't skimp on cheese! Tommy's is one of the few places I've found that will do 1/4 pizza with cheese only and the rest with toppings. My son only eats cheese and this keeps us from having to buy two pizzas. The subs are amazing and fresh and the prices are very fair. They also offer pizza by the slice which I'm dying to try soon! If you love good pizzas, you have to give Tommy's a try! read more

We don't have a kitchen at the moment from an unplanned roof leak that ruined the cabinets, so we have had to eat out for the last month. We are obsessed with Tommy's after recently discovering it is right down the street. So far we have tried the calzone, hot Italian meatball sub, pizza, garlic bread, lasagna, cold roast beef sub, potato salad and its all been delicious! In fact, I am now starting to have cravings for Tommy's and will probably order from there a couple more times this week. Highly recommend! Tried this place for lunch and it was really good! We ordered the Chicken Parmesan sandwich and a pepperoni, mushroom and olive calzone. The calzone was huge with lots of ricotta! Good portions and quality ingredients, both items were great. We will definitely be back. read more

We discovered Tommy's Pizza & Subs a few months ago. The pizza is the best. The crust is crisp and the toppings are perfect... just the right amount of everything. We order via "Slice" and the owner gives a discount for ordering thru them. When we pick up the pizza it is always hot and fresh. The people that work there are always helpful and nice. The place also carries packaged pizzelles. I tried the lemon ones and the traditional ones and both flavors tasted home made! Made me a very happy person. This place is not only for ordering pickup, but also has a few tables and chairs for eating there. This is definitely our "go to" place for pizza. read more

I see on Facebook that people love this place so I was excited to try it when a friend brought it over. However, I almost feel as if no one else that's eaten here, has had a pizza anywhere else. Yes, it was extra super cheesy, but all that did was cover up the flavorless sauce and rubbery crust. Everything good but the sandwiches were not also the cleanliness and presentation of the workers their shirts were stained and Faded and where no hair net while making sandwiches I didn't even see gloves.
