    Hot wings!
    Carrie R.

We love this place. I've been going for 30 years... essentially since high school. I don't live in the area anymore but when I happen to be back in the Valley, I love to stop in if we're in the mood for wings/pizza. Excellent hot wings. Excellent fried/scilian pizza. Just make sure to get it fresh.... not re-heated. I see the other reviews.... our service was perfectly fine. They even told us they were a little backed up on wings but they still came quickly.

What's up food crew! Today's show I am in Kingston at a local pizza place called Tommy's Pizza Corner. Tommy's has been serving his style of pizza to the West Side since at least the 80's. Now I did do a review in the past showcasing their round pie and it was really good. Now, they serve up a great tasting Sicilian style cut a pizza. This has a nice amount of sauce and cheese and I always have to add the onions. I get a few cuts and I also tried their wings, these wings are the nice size jumbo wings, not the pony boy wings like some other places serve in the area serve. These wings were nice, juicy and meaty with a very unique taste. Their mild sauce does have a zing taste to it, it's not your average mild sauce. You can get them in a half dozen or an actual dozen meaning 12. On behalf of the SGW Team I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas. We headed down here for some pizza. I am super glad we did! So this type of pizza is North East Pennsylvania style. Its like a cookie sheet pizza, fried in peanut oil on the bottom. It gives it a nice crisp crust, but the dough is lighter than say a "Detroit" style. Not as crispy, and more chewy. They cut it into rectangles and call them "cuts" instead of "slices" and they are served in a "tray". Half tray is 7 cuts, full tray is 14 cuts. We went with a full tray of cheese, half with no onion, and a half tray of "The Kitchen Sink". They have Coke products to drink. My Brother also got an order of 3 pierogies. How was everything? Kitchen Sink Pizza- Man, this thing surprised the hell out of me. I was NOT expecting this pizza to be so delicious. I wasn't even that hungry and I still put down about 6 cuts between the 2 pizzas. The Kitchen Sink has 2 different kinds of sauce (I think like a bbq and a tomato/marinara) a couple blends of cheese, some onions, and some shredded chicken. It was like a cross between a BBQ chicken pizza and a tomato pie. It was different, and it was GOOD! Cheese Pizza- So their normal cheese pizza comes with cheese, and onions on top of red sauce. We got half the tray with onions and half without. Some of us were farting that night, some of us weren't. (Onion joke if you didn't get it). It was so simple, yet so delicious. The bottom was cooked perfectly for a little crisp, some chew, good cheese pull, great sauce. Pierogies- They were huge! 3 to an order. Boiled and swimming in butter. I prefer my pierogies pan fried and a little crispy...these were not....but, they were still tasty! Pillowy soft with the potato and cheese filling. They were good! The waitress that was working there was a younger gal who was nice and friendly. Next time in PA, I will definitely be back. This was a hidden gem that turned out to be so much better than I had hoped. Truly, Pizza Heaven!

While very attentive they consistently put what we ordered in front of the wrong person. It was comical on the end. From start to finish, the food was outstanding. We began with the Stracciatella soup and mussels, which were both absolutely out of this world, followed by a salad that was just as impressive. For our entrées, we enjoyed the shrimp tacos, which were incredibly fresh and delicious, and the aged steak, which was cooked to perfection and truly top-notch. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't resist dessert. We shared the limoncello cake with cappuccino, and, like everything else we had, it was exceptional. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the owner couldn't have been more gracious. He's clearly passionate about making this restaurant a success, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. As a thoughtful surprise, our dessert and cappuccinos were complimentary. It certainly wasn't expected, but it was a very kind and professional gesture that we genuinely appreciated. If you're anywhere in the Wilkes-Barre area--or even if you're farther away--Diamond City Vault is absolutely worth the trip. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

First and foremost, especially for the out-of-towners, THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY. Yes they have an…read moreatm but you should know this before you walk in, unlike myself. With that said this still should've been a five star experience if not for a couple tiny hiccups. First off, I started off drinking at their bar and bottle shop across the parking lot. In fact, I was going to get a pizza over there, except I wanted to be all healthy and get a salad as well, which was not offered on the limited, pizza and snacks only menu available at the bottle shop. I closed my tab and walked across the parking lot only find a very interesting set up of a to go area very much separated from a sit down only restaurant. Quickly figured out I need to be in the to go area, where I was able to get a draft beer while I waited for my pizza and salad to go. Luckily I asked for a min to settle my tab as I wanted a can to take with me, at which point I found out about the cash only aspect. Last part of slight disappointment resided in the fact that they let me sit there with an empty glass without telling me my pizza was ready, until I finally went to the counter and they asked if I was ready to go. Uh yeah I was actually. By the time I go back to the hotel 14 minutes away, the pizza had gotten cold and required reheating. Fortunately, it was good enough that even with the reheat, revealed itself to be one hell of a pizza. Subtract another fraction of a point for not putting any plastic silverware for my salad. By the way, salad was fine, but pizza slaps.

Now I also ordered their cauliflower crust pizza with the veggie toppings, they have an amazing cauliflower crust, but I have learned you have to eat it there, unlike the regular crust. As you can see this pie was packed full of those healthy vegetables. The crust was nice and thin, normally I am not a crust person, but I like how sab's does there's. Whether it's a plain or specialty pie sab's pizzas are simple and delicious. They are a cash only place with an ATM on sight. Definitely recommend if you have never been here before.
