We have never ordered from "Tommy's" before. We often get 24 cut pizzas from other places in our county. Some relatively good and some not so much. "Tommy's" will now be our "go to" for pizza. Tommy's is a convenient spot for a quick meal, especially if you're near Tamarac High School, but it doesn't stand out compared to other pizza places in the Troy area. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall where Tommy's is located. Inside, there are a few tables and a restroom. Most of the business is take out. No table service. The pizza is decent, with options for both square and round slices, but nothing extraordinary. The subs seem to have more bread than filling, which might not be ideal for those looking for a more substantial sandwich. Overall, it's a decent choice if you're nearby, but there are likely better options elsewhere. read more

This is basically the only place around to grab a bite. We walked in at 8 pm and ordered a calzone with feta cheese, hamburger, and ham and a Lasagna. We dined in, two tables in dining and no restroom for customers that I was aware of. We asked the guy if we could bring our own drink in ( Green Tea ) and he was fine with that. The calzone arrived with a small dressing size container of sauce on the side. I have never had calzone with sauce on the side it's usually inside. That's different. Tasty. 10-15 min after the lasagna arrived with a very small salad and dressing. The lasagna noodles were overcooked not much ricotta cheese or meat in the lasagna, but as you see in the photo plenty of cheese draped over it, and the sauce was runny tasted watered down not much of a tasty flavor The young lady placed the lasagna in the box on top of my cellphone and walked away. Hmm.. rude to be honest. There was 31 min until closing and after tasting their garlic knots we wanted to order some to go, the guy said we can't order because he turned everything off. They close at 9 pm, which means it actually closes at 8:30 pm and they walk out at 9 pm. read more

I don't mean to leave a negative review. They're the only pizza place around (except for Stewart's). I haven't had Stewart's yet... But, Tommy's place has Square Pizza. Square Pizza. Square Pizza! The "pie" was MEH. The high school students (it's across from Tamarac) seemed less than enthusiastic about working there. I haven't tried anything else on their menu, and probably never will... Unless they lose power around here & Tommy's has a generator and that's the only take-out around... They have a VERY loyal customer base around here though! read more

Our go to place for pizza, wings and subs. Never had a bad meal there. Our favorite is the tavern style pizza!

Well I have had their pizza. Inconsistent. The last one wasn't good. But worse yet, I saw their delivery person going the wrong way on a school driveway. Because of after school activities this roadway was blocked for all traffic for the safety of the kids. This guy screamed up fast in his car going the wrong way on a closed road. When I approached him and told him he was going the wrong way on a one way road he told me he always does this. Balancing my child's (and other children's) safety and hot pizza, I vote safety! Please call them and let them know children's safety comes first. I won't buy pizza at Tommy's again! I encourage the school to let Tommy's Pizza know that flaunting the law and endangering our children is not acceptable and that if they can't figure out how to deliver pizza without breaking the law the school can find an alternative source for pizza. read more

Not bad at all. Not having a menu in front of us, we just ordered pizza and wings to take out. The sauce and cheese on the pizza were very good although I felt the pie to be a little on the thick side, just my preference I guess. They were very generous with the toppings too. The wings were good as well, crispy with a good sauce. Here they were a little skimpy with the veggies, giving us just a few pieces of celery They offer some interesting specialty pies as well as the usual selection of fried goodness - fries, tenders, mushrooms, poppers, mozzarella sticks. They also have half a dozen or so pasta dinners which include salad and garlic knots in the $7.50 - 9.00 range. Definitely worth checking out again read more

Warning: The menu on the website has incorrect prices, apparently they don't have access to the host to fix it... be prepared to spend some extra $$$. That said, it's worth it. We ordered 'pizza' so whatever their regular style is, 12 cut. It comes rectangle, generous toppings, and a crust that is akin to a 'thin deep dish'. The pizza has just the right amount of grease to make your fingers slippery and a few drops on your plate. The cheese had just enough flavor, and get the meatball topping... If you are NOT originally from Troy/Albany area, you will probably love this pizza. It is everything I have been searching for since I moved here. If you enjoy the typical Albany pizzas (DeFazio, I Love NY, Amante Etc) you probably won't like this much. 5/7 perfect score. Order hungry, it's a lot of pizza. Terribly inconsistant. Tommy's pizza can be delicious - but don't count on getting the pizza you ordered, or your wing order having any sauce or the price being correct or especially the employees willing to fix these problems when you make them aware. The advertised prices on line are off at least $4 - I thought this illegal - for over a year. I've brought it up to the management and they simply don't care. I live in the area and unfortunately there isn't a lot of convenient choices - so it's ok as long as you check what you've got before you leave - even if the kid at the counter snarls at you while you do it! read more

The pizza and wings are really good, we get them all the time. The prices are pretty much average for the area. The employees are hit are miss; they're all teens and more concerned with their social life than working, but the food doesn't suffer as a result, it's consistent and good. It may only be a couple bucks, but when you're going to be tipping the driver and they already nailed you for a delivery charge.... read more

Tommy's is a great little locally owned pizza shop. If you're in the area I highly recommend it. Whenever I'm in town I make sure to get a pie from Tommy's. Their boneless wings are also very good. Their crust is delicious and they have a large selection of toppings. We normally get the pizza to go but there are a few seats at Tommy's where you can sit and eat. read more

The pizza is fairly good, but my biggest issue is with their wings. If you like Buffalo wings, you are in good shape. But they put Buffalo sauce on ALL flavor of their wings. Garlic Parmesan or Barbecue wings w/ Buffalo isn't just unpleasant if you don't like Buffalo hot sauce, it should be clearly noted somewhere either on the menu or in the store or verbally when you order the wings. When I asked an employee about it, I was brusquely told "That's the way we make them". After ordering a subsequent order without the Buffalo sauce and just garlic parm, I understand why-they don't know how to make a proper garlic parm-grated cheese and garlic sprinkled on oiled wings. I decided to try the place again because it's a local business. Well I wish I didn't, I ordered the 12 cut pizza and 20 wing w/a 2liter soda for the advertised price of $27-28! Well I got there and it was the same dance as the last time, $37 for a 12 cut with pepperoni and onions, 20 wings, 2 liter! Smh! The last time the young man that worked in there realizing how shitty my order was and the price, he just opened the drawer and refunded me $20. Then the young blonde girl behind the counter seemed to think that there was something more important she could have been doing because she was a complete gem and pretty much gave me the whatever attitude. Then I get my pizza home because I'm a single dad and my 3 year old son was hungry and wanted to eat, well at $3 per topping they probably should put more then 3-4 tiny specs on the pizza! What a joke! I won't be going back and the rest of my friends and coworkers all feel the same. I will stick with CAROLS PIZZA, $25 for a 2 topping 12 cut,wings, and 2 liter! Looks like a very ordinary pizza joint... seems like mostly take out/delivery... unspectacular interior and limited seating. We had their deep dish pizza and it was phenomenal. Pretty close to the best I've ever for a regular pizza joint type place. I was skeptical whether the 8 piece deep dish pie would be enough for our party of three but we took two slices home. It was cooked perfectly and the toppings were generous. Will definitely go there again next time I'm in the area.. read more
