My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here over Thanksgiving weekend. Everything was perfection! We sat at the bar top even though we made reservations. That is just our preference. The bar was lively. We shared the scallops appetizer to start. It was so delicious and cooked to perfection. The arugula was a nice touch to this dish. For our entrees we each had meatloaf. It was ridiculously delicious. The meat was juicy and flavorful and the crunchy onions were the best topper. For dessert they gave us bread pudding and it was wonderful! We topped our meal off with a great bottle of Zinfandel. I also had a martini. This was one of the best anniversary dinners we have ever had.

Lunch is always fantastic. It's been a while since we've done dinner at Tommy's Saturday evening Birthday, party of 6, ages 23-90 all family. Our server, Bobbi was super. Orders were all correct, very attentive at the early busy time, but not shadowing our table. Sweet Potato Fries to die for. Chicken Lettuce Wraps amazing. Prime Rib, enough for 3 meals cook perfect r-mr. Meatloaf always the best. Three Cheese Chicken, moist a hint of spice Not to forget the BREAD PUDDING,huge portion, better than Oceana Cruise Line. ! Must say a real 10/10 entire dinner. Thanks Team.

My husband and I had a lovely date here last year for our anniversary, so we decided to come for our anniversary again this year. Unfortunately, our meal was not as fantastic as it was last time. Our server was nice, but they seemed short staffed because she took our order really fast and then we saw her pretty infrequently after that. They also didn't ask if we were celebrating anything like they did last time. The food and drinks took a while to come out. To drink, I had the champagne mojito. It was good, but it tasted just like regular mojito, and it was maybe a bit watered down because it wasn't crisp or bubbly like I would expect from a drink with champagne. We shared the Tommy's salad, which they split for us, and it was good and fresh. My husband had the grilled ribeye and it was cooked perfectly for him. The baked potato with lobster and Gouda sauce that comes with it is so delicious and honestly the star of the meal. Unfortunately I was not as lucky with my meal. I had the 8oz bacon wrapped filet and I requested it cooked medium. When it came out, it was a bit dry and clearly a medium well if not almost well done. I didn't see my server so I flagged down the food runner and she took it back for me. It then took over 15 minutes for a new steak to come out. When I cut into the new steak, it was still over, probably a true medium well this time. Additionally, the cut of filet this time was a very stringy and fatty piece, so at that point I almost wished I had the other steak back since they were cooked about the same anyway. When the server checked on the new steak, I told her it was still over but that I was just going to eat it since I was hungry at this point. She apologized and offered us a free bread pudding, which I accepted. The sides with the filet were yummy and flavorful though. While waiting for my new steak I had eaten some of my husband's, so I asked for a box for the rest of my filet. The server took it away to box it up, and when she brought it back she had only boxed up the meat, not the remainder of the potatoes and veggie sides. The bread pudding was good and the sauce with it was delicious, but it would have benefited from some nuts or something to provide a textural element. Overall, not the meal I was expecting and a bit disappointing for the price.

Kate made my birthday experience a day to remember. Thank you! All four of us will be back for the next birthday celebration and will make sure to request her.

The food was delicious came out in a reasonable time and was hot and tasted exactly how we remembered it had been ten years since our last visit. The steak nachos are out of this world ! The vibe of the restaurant is exactly the same as it was ten years ago. Our waitress was wonderful and so attentive and kind we will definitely be coming back and much sooner this time !

Had dinner tonight, 4 of us, for my husband's birthday. Making reservations online was easy and efficient. Alvaro greeted us, and was our waiter. I had filet and lobster, the other dishes were chicken Marsala, fried chicken salad and the ribeye strip. It was all DELICIOUS and only made better by the excellent service from Alvaro. The bread pudding and beignets were melt in your mouth perfect. Excellent evening!!!!!

Twice killed, salt bomb burger. One of the worst, I've ever had. Too bad it was my first meal of the day and ate half of it.

The food is embarrassing. As always, in Visalia, the back of house and management should be embarrassed. The food was abysmally disappointing. The bartender made a well executed set of drinks to start the experience. Service was friendly and attentive. The wings were quickly fired but rubbery, tough to eat, and lacked any texture. It's disgusting to eat wings that have rubbery skin and it's especially horrible to experience rubbery chicken meat. It's too bad because it's a generous portion. The Caesar salad was prepared in a chopped, well presented format but was tough to eat with its lack of flavor. The dressing needs to be revisited. There is anchovy dressing and there is this bland rendition. The mahi mahi was a salt bomb along with the rest of the meal. It was served in an over cooked "risotto" type of rice side that was over salted and had lardons in it. I love bacon, no issue there but it's an odd combo with mahi mahi. Try something more fresh and bright; add some acid to break the richness. Also, back of house needs to work on their risotto execution. The burger was disgustingly prepared. It arrived as a grey salt bomb (asked for medium) that had bacon that was obviously made LONG before service (wouldn't surprise me it it was earlier in the week) and with what appeared to be mass purchased "guacamole". The type of guacamole you buy at a Target or Walmart. It was so salty and gross that I could only eat half of it. I lost my appetite by that time. The highlight of that dish were the fries which were the only thing that had some texture. Wish they would have got the wings that crispy. I am so happy I didn't order the $80 shrimp and lobster pasta. Even with a small lobster tail, I seriously doubt the back of house could muster up a proper meal that is worth an $80 pasta. I know the price of food has gone up but this place is delusional to put something like that on the menu. I'm happy to pay prices like that if the meal was executed properly, plated properly, and had quality ingredients. I will say that the ambiance was delightful along with the decor. Hats off to the person responsible for the front of house vibe. The bartender and my server, Becca, were fantastic. It's not their fault but I'd seek food elsewhere.

First time trying Tommy's, definitely would go back. Service was great, drinks were not watered down. Cute atmosphere, it is a little darker inside, but in a trendy way. No issues with the steak, if I had one nitpick it was soup not being as thick as I would like it. But adding bacon to claim chowder.... Wowowwo

Ambiance: if you like rustic chic, western with a touch of modern, then you'll love this place. Food: here's where they lost a star. The food was good, really good, but the prices didn't match the quality. I had the filet, it was cooked perfectly. But almost $60 for an 8 oz filet with no sides - I felt like it was excessive. Cheyenne in Kingsburg, steak is a touch better, and the sides and bread are amazing (they're included) for the same price. Again, it's really good, just a tad spendy.

It started raining pretty hard so the entryway was difficult to maneuver with everyone trying to stay out of the rain. We had reservations and showed up 15 minutes early with our table ready. Miguel was our waiter and he was amazing! All his suggestions were spot on and he explained everything on the menu as soon as he came to our table. Scallops were tender and flavorful and were a decent size. Only came with 3 but was more than enough for 2 to share. Octopus was also cooked to perfection. Also tender and not chewy like most places. Best part was the crispy potatoes. A little salty for my palate but still good. Ribeye with bone marrow butter was probably one of the better steaks we've had at a restaurant. Just the right amount of fat to meat and tender enough to cut with a butter knife. One thing I can appreciate is it didn't have that nasty piece of tendon that runs through most ribeyes u get at restaurants and grocery stores. Also had the Dungeness crab cake with risotto. Not really a fan of risotto but the flavors melded well and was divine! Service wasn't bad for a Saturday night without long waits between appetizers and entrees and all the staff were nice and pleasant. A bit pricey but definitely worth it for a special occasion or a long needed date night!

The staff and service are amazing friendly, & attentive. They don't serve food directly, but they always have food trucks, which honestly makes it even better. They're super active on Instagram and regularly post their food truck calendar, so you always know who's serving what and when. My absolute favorite food truck that comes through is Brahma never disappoints. The drink selection is top tier with a wide variety of beers from different distilleries, so there's something for everyone. My go-to drinks are the Michelada with the spicy cucumber mix (so good), The Lady Marmalade, and Dark Horse is also a solid choice. Tap Yard also has an outdoor patio, karaoke nights, and live bands, which makes it such a fun place whether you're going out with friends or just trying to unwind. The only downside for me is that it isn't strictly 21+. Since there's a playground in the back patio, some adults bring their kids, and personally, I'm there to relax and have fun--not listen to screaming children. If you're looking for great drinks, a fun crowd, awesome music, and consistently good vibes, Tap Yard is definitely worth checking out.

The rooms are always clean, the Elderwood is an ice touch, and the vibe is always fun. During this trip, all was fine when what sounded like the HVAC system above our room started to knock. It's an old historic building so, things happen. The knocking though quickly turned into a roar. We contacted the front desk and this is where the true professionalism of the hotel crew, and particularly Maria, shined through. Maria quickly came upstairs, assessed the situation, triaged with other teams inside the hotel, and identified a solution within 20 minutes. Given the scope of the repair was unclear at the time, she moved us to another room and even upgraded us (even though she didn't have to!) for the inconvenience. Things happen, that's not an issue for us, it's how the team addresses them when they come up. The Darling team rose to the occasion with flying colors so seamlessly in this situation, especially Maria. So for us, just underscores a series of positive experiences at the hotel. This isn't an ultra luxury 5-star hotel, so don't come here expecting that.
