This is a takeout review! We decided to get takeout from here and the food was delicious! I loved how the food was packaged! The top consisted of our sushi and dumplings along with our utensils and sauces and they put a piece of cardboard to separate it from our entrees and soups. Also the soups were packaged in tupperware which was most appreciated and they were hot!! I got the teriyaki steak and shrimp with steamed rice and teriyaki steak and shrimp with fried rice both were delicious! The dumplings and the sushi were delicious as well! One of the best restaurants in Rincon. Very clean, awesome ambiance and attentive staff. Menu is very extensive and has plenty of excellent alternatives available for non sushi/fish eaters. Overall this restaurant rivals any decent sushi spot in a major city and this place is in a small town outside of Savannah. Skip poolers options. It's always the goal to stay out of pooler and this place far exceeds expectations for Rincon. The fish is every bit as good as sushi Hana. Such a great dinner at Tomo! The place was busy and they seemed to be short staffed, but the service was still great. The ginger dressing on the salad is super yummy - more ginger based than creamy. I had the teriyaki ribeye steak. The steak was tender and the sauce was more on the sweet side. The rice was sticky. I just wish the plate had more vegetables. We come for sushi. The crazy Tomo roll is our favorite. The Hawaiian roll is another good one, especially with a little shite sauce, and is half price of the premium rolls. Best sushi and best customer service in Rincon. The wait staff are personable, thoughtful, and remember your favorites. To-go orders are correct. We usually order the tuna avocado salad, clear soup, lots of sushi and sometimes dumplings. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. Kids' choices are good-sized and a much healthier choice than the fast food drive-thrus in town, with comparable prices. read more

They use frozen fish! Disgusting! Nothing is fresh. It's frozen! Compared to any Japaneses place in San Fransisco or LA, this place is terrible! Try buying fresh fish. How do you stay in business? I will never be back. The only people who continually eat at this restaurant have never eaten at a decent Japanese restaurant. Again, they serve thawed fish in their rolls and as sushi. On the plus side, I didn't get sick from our lunch. Win. From the outside, the restaurant is a loner business, in a strip mall, attached to an abandon grocery store. The inside is rundown, dirty, and covered in fryer-film. The menu has Chinese and sushi selections. I opted for something simple with a shrimp tempura appetizer. I had a couple questions about the menu as we were new, and she couldn't answer any of them. She offered to ask a coworker but never got back to me about it. Small restaurant tucked in a fairly empty strip mall. I love their Hollywood Roll. It's delicious. Their hibachi meals are pretty good. You don't get as much as you would at an actually hibachi grill, but still good. The rice doesn't have much flavor, but the shrimp sauce helps with that. The worst Sushi I have ever had. The Tako was so chewy it was inedible! The food was not fresh and the restaurant was dingy and old. To make it worse there was only one server running around during a busy lunch. I felt very sorry for her and she did do a good job under the circumstances.
