I got panang curry rice and others got poke bowl. We all expected to get panang curry to be served first but we were wrong. Poke bowls were brought out first and panang curry maybe 10 minutes later. Panang curry was amazing. The only comparison I can make is from Delta in flight meal panang curry, which was really good and that was the reason why I ordered panang curry from this place. I ordered delivery from Thai-Sushi Savannah while staying at a hotel nearby. Green curry is one of my go-tos and it's a good litmus test for Thai places IMO. My only complaint is that I paid $6 extra to add veggies in my tofu curry. That's fine with me if they load up on the veggies, but they did not. I opted for broccoli and cabbage. There was zero cabbage and 3 or 4 broccoli florets. If I'm paying for inexpensive ingredients, then please be generous. Other than that, the curry was enjoyable. Went here for dinner before a Ghost Pirates game and for speed and ease this is a decent place. The decor is fresh and light....the blue with cold accents and the great huge windows make it a fun place to eat. The server we had was nice, but sometimes hard to understand with her accent but was a very attentive and professional server. I think a challenge they have is the competitive food styles of Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese all mixing and diluting some of the possible flavors. I love the opening of the restaurant, it's clean and easy to see with a modern but still classic look. Our server was nice and so were the other employees in the building (we were checked on my many people). The food took about 20 minutes to comes out but it was very fresh and we had no complaints. My spicy beef pad Thai wasn't spicy enough but I added what I needed to and the flavor was on point. The surf and turf roll is huge and it was amazing I would definitely order that again. I'm not a big fan of thick cut sashimi so I didn't even try it but it was definitely fresh. The silverware and glasses were clean and the whole restaurant gets 5 starts from me. read more

New businesses should excite and attract which is what the colorful display did for my wife and I. There wasnt too much of a greeting, but the server asking "how many". We were seated in a large booth area which was nice. That was were the enjoyment ended and the mundane experience began. Another server comes to the table with one glass of water asking if there were two people in the party. My issue with that was the lack of observation knowing that there were two menus across from each other which should have easily indicated that there were two people dining. Another issue is that there was no ice whatsoever for the water that was already brought to the table. I ask for another glass for my wife (who was using the restroom), and asked for ice for both glasses. To my dismay it was like we got rationed a sliver of ice while I saw customers around us with glasses full of ice. Our order was taken by a server who had the name mint on her apron. Not sure. If she was the supervisor manager or owner of the establishment, but she came up with pretty decent. Welcoming energy. We decide on ordering the thai chicken wings and the crab rangoons as appetizers. Mint response with " our crab ragoons are the best in Savannah!!" A pretty bold claim being that this establishment has not been around for a very long period of time. And as a matter of fact, they just opened not too long ago. We got the first set of crab rangoons, and I can proudly say that they are not the best in savannah. They came out lukewarm and fried hard to where the wonton hard dark spots. For my wife to not like the chicken wings is a huge red flag. When mint came by the table to ask how the crab won goons were. My wife stated straight to her face "those are not the best in Savannah" and explained as I stared above. Mint volunteers to make a next batch which later came out and we're more appealing to the eye. The taste however still didn't hit the target. For me crab rangoons cream cheese is usually thick after being fried. This establishments version looked and tasted liquidy. I wasn't a fan of it. My wife decided not to order a main course, but I did. And for that I chose to order the beef fried rice. A major turnoff for me is that if you have to wait over 20 minutes for a meal when it isn't crowded and the food comes out undercooked, that's a problem. When I received my dish, the beef was not cooked. All the way and you could see blood coming from the beef, and it wasn't just one piece.It was every single piece in that dish. The rice looked like it was wet as if it wasn't fully cooked. No one ever came to check to see how the meal was. And I had to flag down a server to ask them to remake the dish. If I initially had to wait twenty plus minutes for a dish to come out undercooked and I send it back only for it to be returned to me in less than five minutes.There's a major issue with that. The vegetables tasted hard as if the food was zapped in a microwave which turned me off from even finishing the food. Lack of attentiveness from the servers that clearly saw several times as they were passing by our table. That our water glasses were empty and continue. Bypass us show complete disregard for us as customers. And when it was time for the check to come out the audacity of one of the servers who did any serving at our table attempted to put a 20% tip on my card. My wife catches wind of it and says "I'm not tipping on my card" to which he suggests a cash tip, to which my wife stated "how do you figure you deserve a tip when we had to ask for water, wasn't checked on and ignored us the entire time". It was laughable that the male server was upset at the criticism. We weren't loud or obnoxious, but we understood from the first 20 minutes how the customer service was going to pan out. The fact that they have overly expensive items and mo flavor seems to be found in the food is disheartening. We prefer sawadda ka in cooler. Great customer service, food, and they do military discounts. This was the first and last time dining at the establishment. I definitely do not recommend!!! read more

This place quickly became my favorite sushi spot in Savannah because when I say I want sushi, I want it done like this! They have some traditional roles that you get at most places, and some unique to sushi-Thai, but what takes these rolls to the next level is how fresh they are. I e never had dynamite topping on any sushi that tasted like the ingredients it was made of! The taste reminded me of sushi I would get back in Boston, and I appreciate the attention to detail with the presentation, taste and customer service (thank you Alfred!) Inside is also pretty unique. There is a dining area, a bar, a sushi bar, and a third "bar" that's mainly desserts! Very cool. I'd say the prices are worth it, and I hope the same level of food quality is maintained as it makes its mark as being a Savannah staple. read more

My husband & I lived in Savannah for 2 years and recently came back to visit for a long weekend. Our friends were raving about this new Thai place that opened downtown, so naturally we had to go. I'll start by saying the food was very, very good. Everything tasted fresh and they had generous portions. My favs were the Tom Kha Soup, Tonkutsu Ramen & Falcon Roll. Pricing seemed a little high, but honestly was comparable to the rest of downtown. The reason I'm leaving off 1 star was for the speed of service. We arrived for a 7pm reservation & didn't get all of our food until 8:45pm. We understood the restaurant is new & the staff are still adjusting to the flow of a busy Saturday night, but it shouldn't have taken almost 2 hours for a party of 8 to get their meals. I hate being picky about wait times, but our friends had a babysitter waiting at home. One positive was that the staff was extremely friendly & apologetic. I had a great experience at Sushi-Thai Savannah. The food, service, and atmosphere are all amazing. Sushi-Thai is located on Broughton Street. It is next door to the newly opened the Baked Bear. There is plenty of street parking all around. But there is also the court parking garage a block behind if you would prefer. The space when walking in is inviting with white and blue hues. There are multiple options for seating. Including three bar options, each is for a specific purpose. The menu, or I should say menus. It is lot of food to choose from. The name of the restaurant has sushi first, but there are many options on the menu. There is something for everyone here. I also enjoyed that they had bubble teas and fun dessert options. Some could also be make diary free which I also appreciated, just ask your server. I got the crispy rice and spicy tuna appetizer. It was plated beautifully and was delicious! My entree was the pad see ew with shrimp. It was excellent too. Our server was attentive yet not invasive. He made sure we had what we needed. My friend has a severe gluten allergy. He was listened to her which was important with don'ts for her food. When he had a question about her allergy he asked to be sure. I appreciated this greatly. Our food was served in a timely manner. And our water cups were refilled promptly. I will be back to try a bubble tea to go! But I will also be back for lunch or dinner most definitely. read more
