I had been concerned about the pond getting too much sun and also wanted to add some protection from flying predators. While certainly not inexpensive, I feel the shade sail is worth every penny. Ordered valance houndstoith style but it came with just a straight style, but still ok Forgot to give me hand crank to use if piwer us out but did bring to me 3 weeks later but did not show me how it works, Ugh. Found a very small drilled hole in my stucco. Tom said not caused by them which I sort of agree but wasn't there before. Installers speak very little English but are very nice. Tom Awning installed a retractable awning 12x12 in my house on the deck BUT the awning is useless because its not able to block the sun. He charged excessively to merely mount the awning on a beam on my deck which is way less costly than installing on the walls. A respectable awning expert would determine if installing the awning on a deck would in fact block the sun and would advise the customer properly. Tom is refusing to take back this awning which i am very disappointed with. We have had numerous problems with this with the arms dangling twice and very bad installation which is damaging my deck. I had some experts come and take a look and they pointed to several issues with the installation. When i operate it, it sounds like a train and makes a clanking noise.
