There are not enough words to explain the value Toni puts into her brand. Her hair studio is not that average and you can tell when you first pull up to her shop. Once you walk in, you know you're in a salon that is clean, well valued, and have a sense of serenity! The decor is also on point and there has never been a time that I've gone that the shop has been in a disarray. What shop have you ever been to that's always spotless and smell good at all times no matter how busy it is. Toni makes sure she takes pride in her brand and is a perfect example of her work! She is always put together and never makes excuses as to why her hair or appearance is a mess and she is always professional. This is why I was shocked to see the 1 star review that was left! I'm not a hairstylist, but I do have curly hair and know that my curly hair will never be bone straight with a relaxer. A relaxer is made to straighten your hair, but a good stylist is able to keep your hair healthy by keeping the integrity of your texture, especially when you want to add color. That is one thing Toni and I have discussed when she has colored my hair in the past. Her motto is healthy hair first! She is not one of those stylist that will put chemicals in your hair without you understanding what comes with the process. I love how she has taken care of my scalp; which has allowed my hair to grow and it's the healthiest it has ever been. No more shedding! No more flakes! No more dead hair! I have a beautiful full short cut with volume and she's even gotten my thin sides to fill in. I am thankful that Toni always puts her clients first, always reinvesting in her hair studio, takes the time to always educate her clients, and most recently have made major changes to incorporate COVID changes that proves she's not playing any games with our health nor hers! read more

I had Toni service my curly hair I spent over two months growing out. The only way I knew how to make it bone straight was to relax it and I also wanted it platinum blonde. Toni agreed to do both within three weeks of each other. I asked her more than once if the relaxer would make it bone straight and she replied yes each time. A week after the relaxer I washed it and it wasn't bone straight like she said it'd be. It had an unexpected curl to it. I respectfully brought this concern and question to her via email honestly thinking I would come to a better understanding and resolution to my hair goals. She replied back explaining things to me regarding the relaxer service & process of going blonde that she failed to tell me during my initial consultation. Had she done so I would've obviously understood why my hair still had a curl to it and not questioned her about it. Instead, she decided not to do business with me ever again which I feel was out of spite due to her feeling slightly offended. She met me with the classic "I wish you the best of luck..." After several fails I was spell-bound at Toni's ability to style, her professionalism and great personality. I have a thing about stylist who do not respect your time or your money and Toni does both! I booked an appointment online for a "Dominican blowout" with Yanet. On the website it said $45 for the blowout. Although I never got this service before, I researched online for average prices and it said $40-$55, so I figured this was reasonable. When I got to the salon, I was greeted by the owner Toni. The salon looks very modern and cute! After filling out a customer card, Yanet started my hair. Yanet was very nice and did a really good job on my hair. The only downside is that it took 3 hours for her to do my hair, as opposed to the 30 minute online quote. My hair is not tightly curled (3a texture) and it is medium length (armpit length). As Yanet was finishing my hair, Toni walked over and went over a few pieces of my hair with a flat iron. I did not want to use a flat iron at all, which is why I got a Dominican blowout in the first place, but I didn't say anything since I figured it wouldn't be too damaging to go over just a few pieces. Ultimately, my hair came out very nice. When it was time to pay, Yanet and Toni both walked over to ring me up. Toni told Yanet to go wash another client's hair and that Toni would ring me up. Toni and I talked for a few minutes and she was very helpful and knowledgeable about different hair techniques, products. Then, she rang me up at said it was $80!! I never paid $80 in my life to get my hair non-chemically straightened! She was on the phone while ringing me up so I just paid. Once she got off the phone, I inquired about the price since online it says $45! She indicated that $45 is the starting price and that it cost $80 due to the length of my hair. But as I said earlier, my hair is not super long it's only about armpit length. All and all the salon is very nice, they offer a wide range of services, and both Toni and Yanet are good at what they do. I wanted this to be my new salon but because of the misleading/unclear/expensive pricing, I won't be returning. If money isn't an issue, and you want to go somewhere that does a great job, you will love this place. Just make sure that you ask them to CONFIRM the price PRIOR to them starting your hair. read more

Hi ya'll it's me again! If you read my last review you saw how much I LOVED getting box braids for the first time. Needless to say I've gotten them again since, but this review isn't for braids. This review is so I can rave about Toni herself! I went in wanting another new look. This time it was bangs! Now I have wicked long and curly hair so I figured we'd be there for hours just doing the straightening part. Let me tell ya'll Toni is a wizard with a blow dryer and a straightener!! She had my entire head bone straight in 30 minutes.... And then I thought "my hair is probably so damaged" NOPE! I have never seen it so perfect and healthy.
