I visited for a second time last night (Sunday). I didn't remember just how yummy the food was. The Stromboli was truly amazing and the dipping sauce was addicting. People at the table raved about the Mulberry meatball pizza, salad (dressing ) and chocolate cake. If you are lucky enough to be dining when the nightly special dessert is the espresso cake,you are in for a treat. It was unbelievably delicious. All this yumminess plus our waiter was excellent. Let me start by saying that the staff treated us like family, I have never been treated so well in a restaurant. And I mean all of the staff are friendly and warm, they work as a team to make your experience the best. The restaurant is immaculately clean, including the bathrooms. It is important to note, that I studied art in Florance, Italy-I married an Italian girl.....this is the best pizza I have ever had! It is even good the next day. So this is the second time coming here . We had the spaghetti and meatballs last time and it was amazing! The server told us about every Tuesday they have 2 for 1 pizza so we decided to try it .(We love left overs ) but once we had the pizza ?? OMG !! Out of this world !! The pizza is a must !! I am a big fan of Gino's but I think this one is just a bit better :) Service is amazing as well so that helps . Only downfall witch is stupid is that the men's restroom smells so bad !! Finally stopped after hearing some good things. Pros: Baked Ziti (outstanding), Pizza (excellent), Zeppoles (excellent) Okay: Garlic knots (barely warm), Fried ravioli (dry) - both with real potential perhaps on another evening. Cheesecake. Cons: The wait staff we encountered were substandard - and without personality. A request for an item was not followed through with by two waiters. A third waiter walked between customer tables with a trash can, knocking down a chair. A customer picked it up herself. Customer service was the difference maker and the reason for the 3 stars. My family visits Tony C's several times a month. Their pizza is the BEST, but all the food is great! Calamari, caesar salad and fried mozzarella are so yummy. Great place for a quick intimate date night. We live in the area and finally had the chance to have an "adult" night away from the kids/family. The place is comfortable and easy spot for the twenty-somethings and the much older crowd. The ambiance is quiet and relaxed and the food was good. We ordered the Garlic knots and they were "meh"... they were hot and fresh, but could have had more garlic since they tasted like a buttered bread. I ordered the Goat Cheese and Garlic pizza and it was nice. Good rustic crust and sweet roasted garlic. For drinks, the wine was okay, but I simply wish they had a better beer selection. Seems to be a limited number (or what the waitress could remember) and they focused on Pils brands.. not my thing you could say. As to the waitress, she was with us right at the start, but then disappeared and luckily another host walking by took our order since we were waiting an additional long time. We did see her at the end of the night with the check, but no comments about her absence. Overall, I give them a good 4-stars.. would have been a "solid" 4 or maybe 5 if the service issue and other things had not interfered with the rating. Not impressed with the food at all. No flavor and had to add salt on everything. The spaghetti sauce was all watered down and not thick at all and just tasted bland. Every single item we ordered was bland. Expensive for not eating good food. Don't recommend and won't ever go back. Decided to come with some girls friends for lunch. First time I've come. Gorgeous open area, love the layout. Everyone is so nice, great service. Had lunch menu...YUM!!! We just ordered through Uber Eats. You forgot a forgot a vital part of the order. I called you, and the only recourse you offered was a credit (for just that part of the order) or to come pick it up. Do you not understand the reason for getting delivery? We CAN'T pick it up!!! You should offered to deliver it, even if you don't normally deliver. Or, you could have offered to cover the delivery fee, so we could submit another delivery order. But you didn't. Your too busy probably screwing up other customer's orders. We have been coming to your restaurant for several years. Your attitude to problems like this are disgusting. I am so pissed, I just want to throw out the rest of the food. This was supposed to be our anniversary dinner, and because of our situation we cannot leave the house. You clearly don't give a crap about your customers. After several years of being loyal customers, we are DONE with you. I really hope the restaurant industry can survive the pandemic conditions we are going through right now. Went for a late family lunch on a weekend. Service (5 stars) - Friendly and efficient. Drinks refilled without asking. Food delivered quickly (within 5-10 minutes of ordering). Menu (3 stars) - Basic Italian. Nothing unexpected. Very standard faire. I eat 'low carb' and apart from a couple of the starters (meatballs or chef's board) and the salads, there were no real options for people like me. Not a 'bad' thing, but I would have appreciated some more options. Food (3 stars) - We ordered the meatball starter, spaghetti w/ meatballs (lunch menu), and chicken parm (lunch menu). The pasta dishes all came with a 'garlic knot.' Everyone enjoyed their meals. The meatballs were tasty, but a little firmer than you usually expect. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Everything was good, but not significantly better than what you could make at home. Value (4 stars) - The lunch menu was $10 a plate, the regular menu was $15-20. The size and quality of the dishes off of the lunch menu were good. Since we didn't order much off of the main menu it is hard to know if it is worth the higher price. Will we go back? Likely, yes. But, it wasn't really good enough to be a 'regular' place. read more

As usual this place does not disappoint. Turned more folks onto this little gem that specializes in great pizza, pasta and salad but the apps,are crazy good too. I always get the bacon wrapped figs and Caesar salad with either a pizza or pasta dish. It is all good and they use authentic ingredients to bring forth a nice flavor. Tried a new Sardinian wine that goes so well with anything we had. Will continue our allegiance to this establishment. Great service. read more

We went here last night with a large (10) group of ladies. Atmosphere is casual, nice and clean. Cool outdoor seating area. Food was very good. I had the proscuitto and goat cheese pizza with huge roasted garlic cloves. Yum! Appetizers were ok. Nothing spectacular but tasty. Only beer, wine and sangria - which was amazing and had mint. Nice touch. Desserts were yummy as well. I had the chocolate cake and tasted the cheesecake. Again, yum! Service was good ... our server was sweet and attentive. She seemed to be a little annoyed at times, but again, we were a table of ten ladies so perhaps it was justified. All in all, I would definitely go back! Welcome to the neighborhood Tony C's. My father and stepmother were in town this weekend and declared that they wanted Italian. I just wasn't up for driving from Round Rock to Reale's where I had taken them previously, and I had seen all the new development over on Parmer at Avery Ranch and had seen "Tony C's" from the parking lot, and it looked snazzy, so I figured I'd give it a shot. We had a good time - a brief wait outside (it was nice and cool out after the front game though, and a 15 minute wait on a Friday night wasn't bad) watching the children play; they have a small patio and the back of it is a children's play area with wood blocks and stuff. We got seated and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We got the garlic knots (tasty - less "knots" in format and more like little cinnamon rolls, but garlicy instead of cinnamony). My step mother got the pizza which was really good, crispy, cheesy, we took half home and it made a great lunch the next day too. I got the ziti and my dad got the lasagna. It was all good, though a bit too heavy on the ricotta (or whatever similar white cheese was in there) - I mean, I like me some ricotta but there was so much and it melted so evenly that the dishes were more like "here's ziti in a cream based sauce" than "here's a tomato sauce, with ricotta and meat and whatnot in it." So it was tasty, but for my ziti I would have liked it to be more tomato-sauce based with a good amount of cheese in it as opposed to how it turned out. The only other issue was that the interior layout - while good for large parties, they had a couple - was cramped and the tall table we were at kept getting run into by servers and customers trying to get around. It was a good experience though, and I'd definitely go again for slightly upscale Italian in my area. read more

I went here with a friend last night for dinner and we were blown away by the quality of the food. I've lived in Avery Ranch for 2 years and still never made it over. I guess I now regret not having gone sooner. I had the chicken parmesan which was presumably breaded and baked in their coal oven. The flavor was outstanding, and the marinara sauce was very tasty. She had the lasagna and I had a bite and it was fabulous. Very flavorful, lots of meat, and the ricotta was silky and creamy. Most Italian restaurants don't season the ricotta in their lasagna enough, but this was perfect. They have a good selection of wine, lots of specials, and a really great range of options on the menu, including several creative pizza options. Had I been in the mood for pizza, I would have faced one of the most difficult decisions of my life trying to select one (though the prosciutto and goat cheese stood out). Finally we finished off our fantastic dinner with tiramisu and espresso. First, the tiramisu is the best I've had in the USA. The mascarpone cheese was sweet and had a deep flavor (again, unlike many Italian places who never use enough liqueur to flavor the cheese and use weak coffee on the ladyfingers). It was totally awesome. I have no idea what kind of coffee they used for the espresso, but it was totally delicious and the perfect strength. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that we had Ricky wait on us. He was very attentive and pleasant, and took awesome care of us! Ask for him. read more

We recently moved to this area and wanted to try this place out. We were very happy with our experience and Luigi (our server) was amazing! We had the garlic knots, stuffed mushrooms, margarita pizza, and zeppoles. Everything was AMAZING!!! I didn't think I would have room for the zeoppoles, but OHMAGAWD they were amazing. What a fine dining experience indeed! As a local Round Rock-ian, we support the local McNeil Mavericks football team and purchase coupon booklets once a year. It was in that booklet that we discovered this new restaurant to try. With a "get one free appetizer, with the purchase of an entree", my mother and I scuttled in this past Sunday evening, starving after working out in the yards alllll day. The weather was nice and temperate so we asked to sit outside, near a couple of other occupied tables. The restaurant - Italiano 'rustico' in appearance - was otherwise rather empty, for now. We were greeted by a young waiter, Brandon, who mentioned he had only begun working there recently, but was enamored by the service Tony C's sought to maintain and the grade of savory dishes that were created. He seemed to know what he was talking about and was very pleasant, so I asked what he'd recommend as a starter and gave us his three favorites. We went with Eggplant Rollatini. Four properly portioned rolls of thinly sliced roasted eggplant rolls stuffed with - oh dear lord - a whipped, sweet, marscapone-like blend of ricotta and mozzarella cheeses, then handsomely dressed in homemade marinara sauce - full of flavor and chunky with real bits of tomatoes. We devoured them....slowly, but surely, savoring each bite. If they flavor of the meal was anything like the appetizer we were initially lured in with, we were in for a real treat. As I was not as hungry for a pizza pie as I wished I was (that's another visit!), I asked for another appetizer for my meal - Cugino Stromboli and mom wanted a Chicken Parmesan Sub (with their complimentary garlic parm fries). The view of the hill country sunset placated our excitement for our meals and when they finally came out, they were worth the wait! Hers, an open faced sammie, on soft baguette, melty with cheese and loaded with lots of marinara! The chicken was extremely moist and met her needs nicely. As an app, mine was plated as such, but was plenty of food for one! Six finger-food portions of sliced Stromboli loaded with capicola, pepperoni, salami and provolone. That marinara I keep mentioning? It came with a dish for dipping, but I asked for more....it's that good! (As an aspiring chef, I believe a restaurant could ruin such a simple recipe like marinara or a meatball merely by not using fresh ingredients, see "canned" or "poorly seasoned". Naturally, I savored that homemade sauce. It's enough to bring me back! Brandon the waiter was attentive and polite, provided our space and was there when needed. With our free app, the meal was just shy of $10/person (I remember now, I also had iced tea...). I threw in a couple more dollars for good waiter Brandon's service. Fantastic meal and wine selection. Bree was our bartender and she was very attentive. We had the bacon wrapped figs and mushroom bruschetta. Both were phenom! The figs are unlike anything we've tried before! The wine selection was extensive and happy hour offers $2 off on a glass. They have bottles by the glass in a wine tap cooler so the glass is served at a perfect temperature. We also tried the Primo pizza which was so good. Tony C's is right down the street, so on a night when nobody wanted to cook, we decided to give it a try. The calamari appetizer was good --- lightly battered and fried, crisp on the outside and tender inside ... but the marinara was disappointingly lacking in flavor. The garlic knots were nothing special, neither buttery nor garlicky. We shared a veggie pizza which was quite good, but very skimpy on toppings for the price. We also each tried a flight of wine, and enjoyed the generous pours for the price. All in all, I prefer the heartier pizza, marinara, and garlic knots at Brooklyn Heights right across the street. I went last night for the first time. The staff is wonderful in educating you on their food as a newbie. They accidentally burned our appetizer and brought us out another replacement while ours was being remade. This was smart because now we like two appetizers on the menu for when we go back. I was up north and able to visit this amazing Italian restaurant again. The Caesar dressing is so spicy with garlic and it is the best in the Austin area.
