Tony is a master hair designer!!! I feel like a million bucks everytime I leave his salon! He pays attention to my vision and how i would like my hair to look like and checks in with me as we go along the cutting process to see if we are heading the right direction. He spends so much time with my hair to ensure that it is perfectly cut! He is also very accomodating! I am scheduled for a cut today and i was with my 18yo son. And I moved to Colorado last year, I had tried two different salons in Denver and I tried one Salon in LA and I really was not happy for they did for me. I had to go back to tony every chance I got for him to fix it! A little bit about my hair: the shape of the back of my head is so flat! And I don't really have a lot of hair. The most common Asian boring straight.. and tony managed to give me the layers,the volume that and the length that I want! Another plus is for him to be bilingual! TONY IS AMAZING!! I've been going to Tony exclusively for my haircuts for the past 10 years. I live roughly 50 miles away and make the drive regularly to see him. If that doesn't say it all, then let me elaborate. Over the years, my hair has changed due to daily shampooing, hours in the sun and age. Despite this, Tony is able to make my hair look healthy and youthful. He puts in just the right amount of layers to give it movement and I don't get those weird curls and flips in my hair that require a straightener to correct. My hair is doesn't require extensive styling to look great - a little soft hair fixer, a toss of my hair and I'm out the door. Even when my hair grows out, it just gets better. Tony Ma has been cutting my hair for almost 20 years. I follow him wherever he goes, that's how great he is. He's cut both my daughter's hair for years. My mother-in-law drove from the central valley to have him cut her hair many times. He is meticulous, a perfectionist, and a true artist. He cuts your hair twice: first, wet, then after he's blow dried your hair, he cuts it dry, to see how your hair reacts to the cut. I last had my hair cut by him in March 2020, right before the Covid-19 shutdown. I haven't had my hair cut since, and as I'm writing this, it's May 2021. The haircut he gave me in 2020 has still held up, after all this time. That's the test of a truly great haircut. What sucks for me is that I've relocated to Tennessee, and I won't see the talented Mr. Ma again. He has set the bar extremely high for whoever is going to cut my hair next, for sure.
