    Chicken Inasal & pork bbq
    J J.

Tony's BBQ - chicken inasal, pork bbq, Chilean sea bass. Worth the drive & wait. Inasal - legit, bbq well seasoned- pinas bbq, java rice - sawsawan taob ang . Small mom & pops- small menu, big taste ! MUST TRY! Truly a home pinas meal!

My new favorite Filipino restaurant in the Valley! Everything is cooked fresh and tastes amazing. I had the grilled Chilean seabass collar meal ($16)--great flavor and value. My husband loved the pork and chicken BBQ skewers, and the grilled tuna belly was also excellent. Expect about a 15-minute wait since food is made to order, but it's totally worth it. Best Filipino BBQ I've had in the Valley (and honestly in the U.S.) since moving here 15+ years ago. The bibingkinitan tastes just like the bibingka from the Philippines. Hidden gem near Seafood City Panorama. Highly recommend!

I visited Tony's Barbecue to check them out. They are located at the corner of the strip mall, very easy to overlook unless you are looking for it. The inside wall has their menu selection along with their prices. They greeted me with a warm welcome, which made me feel at ease., they have 4 tables which will seat 14 diners. The service was friendly and professional. I ordered their Chicken Inasal meal special and was told that it would be freshly made so it would take approx 15 minutes to prepare. It was ready in about that time, The meal includes a small bowl of egg flour soup, a small cup Scoop of Java rice, 2 pcs of chicken leg/thigh. The Chicken was tender and delish, The Java rice was tasty, the soup was egg flour(?) soup. The vibe of the place was a very Filipino cantina. I would recommend this place.

Always nice to order from this spot and support this local business. Bibingkanita was served hot and delicious. Also tried the barbecue chicken bowl with veggies. Also served hot. Chicken was tender and flavorful and customer service was friendly and on point. Thank you!

Stopped in at Craft's Tea House and saw Tony's Barbecue next door. While I was waiting for my Halo Halo to be made, I noticed Tony's had Shanghai Lumpia and I was craving something crunchy. The Shanghai Lumpia was 10 for $11.95 which is on the higher end for lumpia pieces. A few doors over D' New Aristocrat sells Shanghai Lumpia but 25 pieces is the smallest order ($14.50 11 months ago). The price point is much better but they were closed at the time. Tony's fries the lumpia fresh so it is crunchy and hot. It leans a little more towards the saltier side and does not have a lot of seasoning. The place was busy with take-out orders and I was probably the only one who ordered lumpia. The family and I will come back again and try the other food for lunch or dinner. While I was waiting they had made a bunch of rice desserts right out of the oven that looked really good. They may not specialize in lumpia but I would recommend trying the other items on their comprehensive menu.

Tony's BBQ has been on my to try list and finally had the chance! I ordered the 3 piece chicken skewer which came with rice, atchara, and soup. I also ordered a mini bibingka. The food was great! I felt very stuffed after eating 2 skewers, rice, and bibingka. The bibingka was well made--fluffy and the right amount of sweetness. I did wish there was more atchara . Would highly recommend if you're craving Filipino bbq or bibingka. Looking forward to trying other items on their menu.

This location is a small, casual Filipino food place located in an equally small corner part of the Roscoe Woodman Center. Inside: There is no bathroom and has 4 tables. I would caution going with a party larger than 4+ and order for takeout instead. Food: The average price of each meal is between $11-21 (not including tip). I ordered the fried Liempo meal and a Bibingkinitan. It took approximately 15 minutes to prepare and serve. The pork was cooked nicely and you can taste the hints of charcoal and soy sauce. They paired it nicely with rice and egg drop soup. I would highly recommend their Bibingkinitan. When the service worker waited until the end of my meal to hand one to me, it was warm and tasted fresh. This was definitely the highlight of my meal. It has a consistency that was soft and slightly salty in some bites. This is a place that is more popular for take out.

Skewered pork bbq and Bibingkinitan. They are both a must try.

This past Saturday, I picked up some Bibingkinita, chicken barbecue and pork barbecue from Tony's Barbecue. Antonette was so kind. I called in the morning to have my order ready for pick up at around 2pm. Antonette even called me to let me know my order is fresh from the grill and baked fresh from the oven and is ready for pick up. Thank you Antonette! We really like Tony's Barbecue because not only do they make delicious food they also provide excellent customer service. We love supporting local businesses in the San Fernando Valley especially the ones that are consistent in providing excellent customer service. Will be picking up some of their delicious Bibingkinita for our New Year's Eve celebration.

3 pc Skewered Pork Bbq Meal was tender and filling ( 4 / 5 ), some big pieces of fat.

Food 4.5 / 5 Service 4 / 5 Ambiance 3.5 / 5 The barbecue at this "hole in the wall" eatery (near Kaiser Panorama City) is delicious & filling. Grill to order is ready in about 15 mins. Would come back to try the other selections. Courteous service! See pictures & reviews below. Note: no restroom

We've been coming here since they opened. The food is always fresh, and the employees are nice. It's a hole in a wall and definitely a must try!

Our friend recommended to try this place and it didn't disappoint. Food is delicious! All staff were so welcoming and friendly. Their menu offers a great range of food choices, from barbecue meals, rice bowls, desserts and their bibingkinitan is a must try! Which btw are fresh from the oven! The location has enough space for patrons and regulars to dine, it is worth the drive. We'll definitely be back! :) thank you again!

We were genuinely excited to find a BBQ spot we enjoyed, and for a while, we were happy customers. Unfortunately, over time, our experience became increasingly disappointing, particularly when it came to the size and consistency of the ribs. The first couple of times we ordered, the ribs looked like a standard, reasonable portion. But on our later visits, we noticed that the ribs appeared noticeably smaller. It wasn't just a one-time observation; after seeing the difference several times, we decided to call and ask about it. We weren't looking for anything unreasonable, we simply wanted an explanation and some consistency in what we were paying for. We were told, "Sorry, we'll have our manager get back to you." We appreciated that someone would supposedly follow up, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. It has now been a couple of months, and we have never received a call, email, or any kind of follow-up. That part is honestly just as disappointing as the portion issue. Bludso's prices are high, and when you're paying premium prices for BBQ, you expect the quality and portions to be consistent. We understand that food costs, labor, and operating a restaurant are expensive, we're not expecting bargain prices. But when a restaurant charges what Bludso's charges, customers have every right to expect that the portions will be consistent and that legitimate concerns will be taken seriously. In a time when the cost of everything continues to rise and people have to think carefully about where they spend their money, spending more at a restaurant should come with the expectation of getting a quality experience. If we're willing to pay higher prices, we expect the food and customer service to reflect that. What really sealed the deal for us was that we actually tried to address the issue directly. We didn't immediately leave a negative review or complain online. We called the restaurant, explained our concern, and gave them an opportunity to respond. Unfortunately, the fact that nobody ever bothered to follow up after promising that a manager would contact us left us feeling like our business and feedback simply weren't important. We enjoyed Bludso's when we first discovered it, which makes this even more disappointing. But there are plenty of BBQ options out there, and at these prices, we don't feel there's a reason to continue spending our money somewhere that doesn't provide consistency or follow through with its customers. We tried. We gave them multiple chances. We reached out and gave them an opportunity to make it right. Unfortunately, we've moved on. No more Bludso's for us.

No complaints! Baked beans: Honestly, it's pretty hard to mess up baked beans. Very standard, traditional baked beans, good. Potato wedges: 8/10 Also kind of hard to mess up potato wedges unless they're undercooked or overcooked. They were seasoned too. So pretty standard tasting Mac & cheese: 3/10 I'm from the South, so there's just a certain baseline I reference when it comes to mac & cheese, and unfortunately this wasn't it for me. I would never order the mac again. Cornbread: 10/10 Southern girl approved!!! Collard greens: 4/10 Not a slither of seasoning but I got them together myself. Fish: The fish is actually why I ordered in the first place because I was craving some fried catfish. On Uber Eats, it just said "fish of the day," and I assumed it was catfish. It was, in fact, NOT catfish. I'm not sure what type of fish it was, but it tasted more prepackaged like something you would get out of the frozen section at the grocery store vs. freshly prepared, so I was a little bummed about that. It didn't taste bad, but I probably wouldn't order it again. I was also extremely disappointed by the portion sizes of the sides. They are VERY small, especially considering the prices. I would definitely keep that in mind before ordering extra or individual sides. I still gave them 5 stars because those ribs were so damn good that they made up for everything else. I'd absolutely order the ribs again!

I have been wanting to try the bbq here for some time now and I finally got the opportunity to do…read moreso. Big Pops is accommodating to dine in and take out but I will say it can get quite warm in there as you are eating which for me it was they do however have two tower fans for the guests when it gets hot but it was just me in there and so it was off but still I run hot and I was starting to warm up while eating. With that being said I think the service for what is worth wasn't too bad. This place is nice and decorated and very quiet other than the radio playing in the back ground for the cooks. There are a few tables inside that can seat about maybe 10-12 max and they do have a drink fridge for you to choose what drinks to get. The person helping me out was very quiet didn't ask me if it was my first time or anything like that maybe just the hello and such but he was polite but just not welcoming I suppose. Since it was my first time I didn't know what to get and I think it's my fault for sure for not asking more and engaging on what I should get because I only asked like one question about the Tri tip plate and stuff but I ended up getting that and I will say it's quite a bit of food but at the same time it can get pricey I paid about & $29 for the plate with tip ended up being $34 in total. It's about what you would expect from a barbecue place. So with the plate or any plate as show on the menu, you do get a small side of fries, a piece of corn bread and a small side. The small sides are about $2.99 for and as shown in my picture they are that small like a tiny ramekin like double or triple the size of what you get from a sample from Costco. So the fries are fries nothing special about them but they were fried well and it had a nice crisp outside when you bite into it and the inside was cooked right. The corn bread was spectacular in my opinion! It was moist and flavorful with every bite! I used it to dip into my Tri tip plate because of the sauce and it was great! The Mac and cheese I will say was ok. Barely any flavor and it honestly reminded me of getting Mac and cheese from the grocery store hot deli like Ralph's and Vons because the consistency and texture of it really felt like it was made the same way and flavor wise as well because there as no flavor now with that being said I will say maybe my tastebuds were already saturated and nuked by the sauce from the Tri tip (which I'll get to a moment) and I couldn't appreciate the Mac and cheese as well or tell if it was salted or peppered or something. But to me it was pretty bland Mac and cheese like I wouldn't pay for it as my side. Now I will say that's the only side I got I didn't buy the others which I regret because maybe those sides were the ones you should be eating like the baked beans or collard greens which is the more essential sides of any barbecue eatery. So definitely the Mac and cheese was a miss for me and next time I'll get the other sides instead. Now the main course which is the Tri tip. I loved the Tri tip it was nice and tender and you get about 10 ounces and in the photo I have it's a lot! But I will say this, there are people who love wet barbecue and dry barbecue I'm a person who loves the dry barbecue as in only into dry rub and stuff I dont mind saucy meat but an over abundance of sauce just ruins it for me and this was the case for my Tri tip. In my photo you can definitely see that it is heavily drenched in their barbecue sauce which by the way is very flavorful no doubt about it! But it was so sweet and so saucy also it wasnt spicy as I had the option to choose from regular or spicy but there was no indication of spiciness at all. Like maybe I'm just used to spicy food but whatever is meant to make that spicy didn't really shine out and that was a big disappointment. I'm not really into sweet foods which most barbecue sauces are sweet or very vinegary based. This is very sweet and very acidic like my mouth was nuked. But the Tri tip itself was amazing! But my plate had too much sauce and it was too sweet and vinegary like I could swim in the sauce is how saucy it was. No matter how I felt about my saucy Tri tips that's how you're supposed to eat it as is because that's how they made it and it would be a disservice to do so differently. With that being said over all the food was great except for the bland Mac and cheese and heavily sweetened barbecue sauce all over my Tri tip other than that it was great.. Again if you're not into eating super saucy barbecue or you're a dry rub type of barbecue eater like me then I would warn you again that it gets saucy here hahaha at least for my plate. I'm still gonna come back because I'd like to try their other stuff and also it's a local business and helping support them and any other local business is great! So for me it's 4 stars out of 5! Thank you again! :)

We hired them for our engagement party of 65 people and added the vegetables to Menu 2. It was awesome to see how they set up early and spent time making sure the food was perfect. Each guest RAVED about the food and went back for multiple rounds. There was something for everyone.Pricing was absolutely fair and couldn't have gotten a better caterer for our event and we are sad that it is over. Thank you to Marcelo and Gabriel for everything!

We booked Martin Fierro Asado (MFA) for our wedding in March because we wanted a unique and…read morememorable experience for our guests. Having Martin and his team cooking on-site was a key part of our vision, so much so that we specifically searched across Los Angeles and surrounding areas to find a venue that could accommodate their setup requirements, including the 7-hour preparation time and outdoor space they needed. Leading up to the event, MFA was great, they were responsive, communicative, and easy to work with. Unfortunately, our experience on the wedding day was very different. We later learned that Martin had threatened to leave midway through cooking, which was extremely concerning. Additionally, both our venue staff and other catering staff mentioned that MFA was difficult to work with that day. While the food itself was excellent, the service fell short of what was promised. Our contract included two courses: First course: ribs, sausage, chicken, empanadas, and salads Second course: tri-tip/steak The second course was never properly served to our guests. When guests returned for the steak, they were told service was over and staff had already begun cleaning up. Some guests even tried requesting steak during the first course and were denied. To our knowledge, only maybe one or two guests were able to receive steak after insisting. We had also rented chafing dishes so that leftover food could be made available later in the evening. However, only chicken and salads were placed out, no beef. We didn't realize the extent of this issue until the day after the wedding. When we went to retrieve leftovers, we found multiple full trays of food, including large portions of uncut steak and ribs. There was clearly more than enough food to serve all guests the second course, yet it was never distributed. Many guests later told us the food was amazing--some of the best wedding food they've had--but also shared disappointment that they never received the advertised beef course. This was especially frustrating since our menu cards specifically instructed guests to "save room" for it. After the event, we learned that Martin had a planned medical procedure the following day. While we understand personal circumstances arise, it felt like the service was cut short so the team could leave early. This resulted in an estimated $2,000 worth of food going to waste, food that could have been served, offered to guests to take home, or at minimum communicated to us. Overall, while the food quality was outstanding, the execution and service on the day of the event were deeply disappointing and did not meet expectations for a wedding of this scale (160 guests).
