I went in 30 minutes before closing time, 7:30pm. Let start this off by telling you all that I was greeted with such joy and welcome. Upon walking into the store the server and cashier, Maria, greeted us and asked us how we're doing. We conversed about the food and and she answered some questions I had since it was my first time. Might I add, the inside was very clean and marinated. The ambiance was nice. Maria then helped us out at the cash register, prior to this she was cleaning a table. We ended up ordered a wet chile verde burrito and a wet carne asada burrito. It was such a delight to take this food home, taste it and realize that it was full of flavor and good potions! The salsa on the side that they give was amazing too! 10/10 would return and try more food! Maria is such an amazing person! She asked for our names and shakes our hands. Hands down the best tacos in town! I ordered the three hard tacos with shredded beef, served with beans and rice, and everything was absolutely delicious. The shredded beef was incredibly flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and the beans and rice were cooked just right. You can really tell the food is made with care and quality ingredients. Walking in we noticed it was very clean. Menu pictures are posted on the wall and they also have digital screen menus. Ordered at the counter then found our seats. There's a good amount of tables for small or larger groups. Right off Magnolia Inside a little strip of eateries. Parking may be limited during rush hours. You can order ahead for pick up if you're pressed for time. Good service. The burritos we had were satisfactory. The red salsa had a nice spice I enjoyed it. Meal comes with one salsa. My friends live nearby and are HUGE fans of this establishment. They are both regulars and the employees recognize them. It was heartwarming to see how friendly the staff were with them. When you dine-in you get chips and salsa for the table. The chips are crisp and the salsa has a kick to it. This is a hidden gem amongst three other competitors in the same shopping center. Impressed with the quality of food and great service. We had chilaquiles con carne asada with a mix of green and red sauce and a sope de carnitas. As we Mexicans say, comida casera (tastes like grandmams home cooked meals). Excellent experience! The service was top notch, very attentive and informative of ingredients and preparation choices available. Seating area and restrooms were very clean as well. I had mentioned to the cashier, Evelia, that I could not decide between the burrito and the menudo but I opted for the burrito. Authentic! Authentic! Authentic! Tacos anyone? What better way to spend your Sunday after church than a Mexican restaurant that caters to authenticity!! Yummmm! You know when you walk into a Mexican restaurant and you see the front end of the house being held down by three older, Mexican ladies who are anxious to serve you and greet you with the smile . These three ladies were super helpful and explaining their specialty items of the day, we even got a small tasting of their avgas. Delicious! But after looking at the menu, we decided to go with some of our favorites. We ordered the queso birria tacos , carnitas Street tacos, and Green Chicken enchiladas. The only plate that came with the rice and beans were the enchiladas but we all ordered sides and let me just tell you., I felt like I was eating my grandmas rice and beans. Super Delicioso. They do have two tables outside where you can sit at and enjoy your meal, but we selected inside dining which was clean and the ladies kept coming around to all of the tables several times asking if we needed anything. I am huge on customer service and let me just say because of those ladies and they're attentiveness , even if their food was bad I would've came back lol but the food was delicious and customer service was on point, I will be bringing my husband here. read more

Stopped by this family-owned restaurant and had a great experience. As soon as we walked in, the host was incredibly welcoming and did a fantastic job explaining the menu. We ended up ordering the asada wet burrito and the green chili enchiladas--both were outstanding. The asada was packed with flavor, and the green sauce on the enchiladas was especially delicious. Their Caldo de Res (Beef Soup) is worth it, especially on cold days or when you're sick. The Beef Fajitas were ok, I felt something missing from it that didn't really satisfy my craving for fajitas. The Chili Relleno was so good with the green sauce. I will definitely try it with the red sauce next time; supposed to be spicier. The Horchata is always a hit my kids, but always mix it first before drinking because all the good stuff sinks to the bottom. The place is very clean. There's a TV on one side of the dinning area. If you were a big party of 10 you'll probably take up half the space. It's a small hidden gem. It's definitely quiet when it's not busy. The service was fast for my to go order. Wish they put for sauces in my bag but I get it everyone is trying to save. I'll definitely ask more for next time. read more

First time we've been here halfway through the meal I felt like I had to get up and go in to the kitchen to see if my mom was in the back! the food is that good! The street tacos were very flavorful fresh cheese, onions, and cilantro. Meats were juicy and well marinated. The tortilla were also held the taco together with every bite. Normally after I drench my tacos with my hot sauces, most tortillas usually gets soggy and broken. Let me start off by saying I eat a lot of Mexican food. I have most likely eaten at every Mexican restaurant in Riverside and at times it's a lot of the same. However, this place here was different. The flavors were amazing! The service was great, very hospitable and lots of conversation about food. Not too salty, not under salted. We got the beef taquitos which were filled perfectly with delicious shredded beef and made fresh (not premade and frozen) when we ordered. Absolutely delicious! The woman behind the register recommended the sope because they make them by hand with fresh masa. It was delicious we got the carnitas (she's from Michoacan so you know she knows carnitas). It was great! Lastly we got a cóctel de camarón and it was AMAZING. The perfect amount of Clamato inside. I added ketchup, limón, Tapatio, and a pinch of salt. It was fresh with 18 shrimp inside (yes I counted) and had the perfect balance of flavors. No joke, it was one of the best I had just simple and delicious flavors. Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was so welcoming and I loved the fact the decor had pictures of the food on the wall so you can see the what it looks like before you order. Will definitely come back. read more

This is a smaller restaurant that is very unassuming from outside but it's a must stop. I was really craving some crunchy tacos so we stumbled upon Tony's and am I glad we did. The food is fresh and made to order so give it a little time. They do get busy but they hustle as I came in right at the dinner rush but they were getting out the orders quickly. My tacos were so tasty and hot. My partner's order was also delicious and we left stuffed. They also gave us complimentary chips with salsa for dinning in. It's definitely a small place so if it's super busy you may struggle to find a spot to sit at but it's a great to go place too. I would most certainly come back again and the service was top tier. The lady who assisted us was so nice and made sure we had the salsa we wanted despite how busy it was. Food service and good food is hard to come by theses days so we so appreciate that at home style hospitality. Price wise it's very on par to local Mexican places. After years of seeing this place pop up in Yelp reviews, it was time to actually try it. And we did it again. And then again. OK, Tony's Mexican Grill. You had us at hello. Time to finally write a review to confirm how amazing this food it. If you like a simple bean and cheese burrito, like my wife does, this place is the best in the area, by far. And based on numerous recommendations here on Yelp for the chile verde wet burrito, I finally gave that a shot today and it was just as recommended! We love their red salsa too. 5 stars for great food and wonderful service. I'd attach photos but all the food is in my belly. :-) read more
