Wanted to check out the $2 margarita deal they got going. Ordered 3 combos - 1 taco combo, 3 taco combo, and quesadilla combo. Food was pretty tasty. The only thing we didn't like was the queso dip for the chips - too watery. Everything else was great! I really liked the Peter Luger taco. Wifey enjoyed the shrimp taco and the carne asada. As for the margarita, wifey said that was just right for her taste. Place was clean. You can order from a kiosk if you want. I've visited Tony's Tacos before, but this was my first time at this particular location. This place has been on my list for a while and I'm so happy I got to finally try it. I ordered the dragon passion marg which was delicious. Not too strong and not too sweet. The tacos were different in a good way. I had the short rib taco, carne asada & jalapeno shrimp tacos. 10/10 would oder them again. Service was quick and friendly. We have been here many times but not since they changed the menu. It's smaller than it used to be and they definitely took too many good things off the menu. .No more quesadillas, chicken wings or mozzarella bites. And the new tostadillas while tasty - aren't very big. I ordered a rice bowl and although it had a lot of things in it i felt it was missing something. Maybe salsa or more sour cream. I really enjoyed grabbing a quick bite to eat at Tony's Tacos. It's a clean spot with lots of seats, friendly staff, and excellent food. My guest & I arrived around 1pm, and it was slow-paced inside. We had ample time to figure out what to order, so after checking out the menu, I decided to order the two-taco combo (Chicken Milanese, Shrimp & Mango, along with Guac w/Chips on the side.) Everything came out quickly and the overall taste was great. I would definitely reorder this again, along with the Dragonfruit Lemonade. The tacos were pretty amazing, but the party pack was nothing like how it was presented online. It didn't come in a nice box with the pretty presentation and there was no organization so we really couldn't tell what was what for the most part. They were just delivered 3 tacos per box with no labels. The tacos were all great, except for the cauliflower tacos that had a puddle of liquid so they were soggy. We loved everything else. Really nice atmosphere and every worker we passed greeted is with a warm welcome. The menu is a little overwhelming but if you like options, you got it! I did the 3 taco combo with the Mango Shrimp, Melanise & Chicken Parm. All of the tacos were good but the surprising winner was the Chicken Parm! Can't believe we haven't visited Tony's Tacos after moving to LI several years ago. Apparently there are a few locations too. We went to the Garden City location and self-served at the kiosk, ordering two taco sets of 3 each (one with guacamole and chips) and 2 kids quesadillas for my kids. The tacos were gooooood and the quesadillas were kid-friendly! Our old go-to taco joint (I won't mention any names), made their kids quesadillas spicy, which turned us off big time. Tony's Tacos now has so many locations, it's like I pass one all the time. This particular location, Garden City, was my first time dining at this location. And it did not disappoint! The space is huge, especially compared to the Floral Park one. There were plenty of seats to choose from, inside as well as outside. Al Fresco dining would have been great if there was less humidity so on this visit we sat inside instead. I ordered on the kiosk to save time since I already knew what I wanted. My friend preferred to order at the counter since she likes to ask questions about the menu. We both got our order minutes apart so it was perfect. After you order, you take a number and pick a spot to sit. The staff brings you your order and they clean up as well. Please remember to tip even though it seems like a casual dining spot, the hard working staff deserves a gratuity - they clean the tables, bring you your food and run around all throughout. It's a lot do. I recommend the carne steak taco, the chicken, bacon and ranch one as well as the fish tacos. Each can be customized with extra toppings, sauces and condiments. The reverse is also true if you don't want certain ingredients that are listed, you can remove. This location is great for a larger group and there's even parking! They share a lot with the rest of the places on the block. Plenty of parking, makes things much easier. read more

Not sure I even have the words to describe how incredible my visit to Tony's Tacos was. We had a variety of tacos, and the chicken Milanese, chicken pesto, and chicken parm were all phenomenal. The margaritas were tasty, and don't even start me on how good the churros were! So Tony's Tacos have been on my favorite list since I've visited the Hempstead and Floral Park location. My friend and I decided to come to this location after leaving the mall and I was excited because we were just at the floral park location the day before so I knew my friend fell in love as well. This location is sooooooo amazing. Its large compared to the others and would chose this location if I wanted to bring the whole family or do a date night. There's also an outdoor seating area for when it gets warmer. The bar is the beautiful. The decor is nice and the staff here is as welcoming was their other locations. They do such an amazing job in cleaning up and keeping the place super clean. The food here is just as amazing as other locations. I tried the new Chopped Cheese tacos and Chopped Cheese fries that were up for this month's promotion and I loved the fries. The taco was okay. I would go back to ordering my Surf & Turf or Chicken Parm that I usually always get. The only thing I did not like was the queso blanco. The chips were fresh, crispy and tasty but the queso blanco tasted too milky. I wouldn't order that again but that will never stop me from coming back because the tacos and margaritas are top tier! read more

A New York take on Torchy's Taco w/ an Italian twist? Flour tacos are made with Italian 00 flour typically used for pizzas - and honestly I thought they tasted good and wouldn't have been able to discern much of the difference had I not known. I thought the steak supreme was okay but the shrimp & mango taco rocked it! And they also had good mojitos and $5 drink happy hours as well which is a nice find in a great location along Garden City's scenic 7th street corridor. Nachos were good with the queso which was of the white variety (which I prefer over yellow) and I would order this again. Someone mentioned I should try the Peter Luger taco next time - and I think that'll happen! Service was helpful with the menu and friendly for a first-timer. Our food was prepared very quickly and the staff was friendly. I love that they offer more than your typical tacos. They are a little tiny though so load up! We also had the chance to dine in for a quick lunch. Ive had the cod club taco, tajin shrimp, and surf and turf tacos. My wife had a steak taco along with a chicken taco. The fish and shrimp were excellent options. The steak taco although a little dry had enough sauce and veggies to keep it tasty. We also ordered nachos, street corn, and guac, all of which were delicious. Finally, the kids menu is great. My children enjoyed a cheese quesadilla, chicken nuggets, and mozzarella triangles. I didn't and still don't understand why it wasn't packed, though. First of all, it's tacos, and who doesn't love tacos? Secondly, and this may be part of the reason, this is a unique take on tacos... definitely not your run-of-the-mill taco joint. They serve everything BUT your original taco. For instance, you could get... Chicken Club Steak and Cheese Shrimp and Mango Chicken Milanese Surf and Turf Carne Asada Shrimp Bacon Ranch Short Rib Peter Luger Chicken Parm ... those are ALL tacos, and that's only a portion of what they offer. It definitely takes some getting used to the idea that the tacos will be quite different, both in terms of taste and texture, and if you're wanting traditional Mexican fare, then yeah, maybe go somewhere else. But don't get me wrong. This food is VERY GOOD here... and FUN... because it's so different. So here is what I tried... 1) Chicken Milanese, which had a chicken cutlet, queso, burrata, arugula, pico, pesto, and balsamic drizzle. DELICIOUS !!! 2) Shroom, which had grilled shrimp, lettuce, caramelized onion, mushroom, queso, and parmigiano. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy any of the tacos I tried, which were the Italian birra tacos, and the ital-americano. They were all extremely too oily and the oil from one of the tacos dripped down my hand so quick and stained my jacket. The street corn was also just average, nothing stood out to me as good. I think it was overpriced for the quality of the tacos. The service was good though but that's about it. I left disappointed. read more

There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, Tony wants you to get your taco on in style! I walked in and see the menu board / register to the far right side. The gentleman behind the counter explains to me today is taco Tuesday which means free chips and queso? Be still my beating heart... I'm also told there are $12 Margaritas being served? Did I just enter heaven?! Yes, a watermelon margarita to get my taco party started thank you very much. I also ordered two tacos: Peter Luger Short Rib taco Spicy Carne Asada taco I mentioned Tony makes fun tacos. A Peter Luger taco went past the fun zone and slid right into my serious side. The taco I had, was that mashed potatoes on the bottom? Krazy man. Very very good The same with the spicy carne asada taco. A little heat and a little sweet makes this a taco that's a fun treat to eat. Now wash it all down with a Margarita? I have a 2pm meeting, I think I'm buzzed. There's outdoor seating so we just plopped down and waited and waited and waited for service until we realized the only way to order is by going inside and placing it either with a self service kiosk or a cashier where you're given a number to place in your table. The choice of tacos is amazing. This is a spin on the usually known type of taco - actually it's more Italian. The taco itself is right in the middle of soft and hard. I had the smoked salmon which was absolutely different and delicious. Also the spicy shrimp. If you order 2 they are a bit over $6 each. They aren't skimpy either. I'm def going back. Went to Tony's after passing the Garden City location. We ordered the chicken parm & chicken bacon ranch quesadilla combos and they are so good! The guacamole is fresh and the chips are salted perfectly. Also got the churros with Nutella and they were the perfect ending. Also the queso is creamy with the perfect amount of spice.
