Tony Wings, Pad Prick King Fish, Pad See Eew

Ordered Tony wings, Pad See Ew, and Pad Prick King Fish. The plates above will always be my go to dishes, wings are sticky sweet with crunch, padSE noods are wok'd with yummy char yet still bouncy, and the fish's spicy spiced up coat of chili is addictive! I like coming here for a fast easy comfort Thai food, the service is always swift and the food is consistent. The environment is causal but can still cater to a big party.

Wanted to check out another Thai place and this one showed up. Got a few dishes to try out and everything was pretty solid. Pad see ew and the tom yum kung was our favorite. It was super flavorful and the spice level was perfect. I think the only let down was the fish. It was over cooked in my opinion so the texture was very soggy-like. Located in same plaza with Kim Son, Bambu, and Long's Coffee so there's plenty of parking.

My favorite Thai restaurant in Houston! Great price and great portions - don't get me wrong the Thai places in the heights is delicious but if you want family style Thai food, this is the place to be. I ALWAYS get the fried catfish, the tom yum fried rice - the beef tiger cry can be a hit or miss sometimes so just hope it isn't dry when you order it! An all time classic spot you need to try

Every time I'm in Houston, this is a must-stop. Tony's Taxi has the best wings and fried rice -- hands down! The flavors are crazy good, the portions are perfect, and the vibe is always on point. The service is 10/10 -- friendly, fast, and consistent every single visit. I literally can't come to Houston without stopping here. Always hits

THE BIG: Thai restaurant located inside Chinatown bellaire of Houston. Very big space, pay at the end and parking lot available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I'm always excited to go to Chinatown everytime we're in Houston. We immediately came to Tony Thai since we were famished from our drive from Austin. Since it was 2:30 in the afternoon, we were seated immediately as there were only a handful of customers inside. Service is lightning quick. We got the tom yum soup and tony's wings. The tony's wings were alright, it's your standard soy garlic fried chicken, and the tom yum soup was a nice tummy warmer for the cold day. THE FINAL BAMBOO: For two dishes, what came out of pocket was around $30 for two dishes. Wish we tried more of the original thai dishes, but the two we got was great.

If you're looking for big Thai portions at an affordable price, this place is hard to beat. The servings are huge compared to most Thai restaurants and you definitely get a lot of food for what you pay. The pad thai and the pineapple fried rice are the standouts for me. Both dishes are packed with flavor and come out in generous portions that are perfect for sharing or taking leftovers home. When I say generous, I mean HUGEEEE!! One entree is MORE than enough to feed two people so don't over order here. You will end up taking most of it to go. because it is impossible to finish. The interior is designed very nice and there are tons of seating.

My friend told me that this Tony Thai restaurant has very good steak, so we went there for dinner. I ordered the basil lamb, and my friend ordered the grilled steak. The basil lamb tasted okay, but the steamed rice was not good and of cheap quality. The waiter service was decent. The restaurant atmosphere was okay. This restaurant also sells some grocery items.

I think the food is good depending on what you order. The price is pretty budget friendly. Love the idea of no MSG :o - Pineapple fried rice (good) Pad see ew (yummmy) Tom yum kung (eh, it was quite salty with not many toppings) Staff is nice and the place is nicely decorated

Solid Thai food!!! They keep it simple and do an amazing job with authentic flavors! Everything came out warm, smelling amazing, and cooked perfectly! Wings were very crunch and flavorful. The sticky rice was one of my favorites yet. And overall this place is just a great bang for your buck the serving sizes are huge!! Will be back!

My family and I have been coming to Tony Thai for years since it opened. It's a Bellaire staple for many and for good reason! The portions are hefty and prices are good! It's hard finding an affordable Thai restaurant these days but Tony Thai is exactly that! We ordered the pad see ew, the stir fried green beans and the Tom yum soup. I love their Tom yum soup. It's a dish that my family always orders when we go here. Service is alright, sometimes a bit disorganized and slow but I would attribute that to how busy they are. They have lots of decor in the restaurant which is a nice touch. The restaurant is located in the same plaza as Kim Son on Bellaire and in the far corner. You won't miss it! There's also plenty of parking right out front. Come here for decently priced Thai food if you're ever in Bellaire!

I was in the area looking for a place for lunch and saw this place while driving. It's a pretty big place and has lots of seatings. Since I was alone I decided to do a to-go. After a couple of recommendations from the server, I decided to order their Tom him fried rice. They told me it'll take 15 mins but it was ready in 5-7. I came back to the office and opened the box - it was full, their quantity is huge. It was hot and looked fresh! The taste was exactly what the server had said it would be - sweet and tangy. The rice and chicken were very flavorful and the present was great!

Got takeout dessert. 2 mango sticky rice and one of the boxes the mangos tasted rotten. Very weird taste. The second box was ok it wasn't sweet but edible. Both of the coconut sauce seem spoiled. I def wasn't happy with throwing away an 8$ box of mango dessert. Prob won't go back here again during the summer. The drive was less than 10 mins in an air conditioned car, so either they didn't fridge their coconut milk sauce or it's old. Mangoes I dunno. Maybe it's not fresh?

Great place in Chinatown that serves up many Thai dishes. Tony Thai has been a Chinatown staple for some time now. I've been here a few times with great results. The interior is nice and bright during the day. The lunch specials are gone, but prices and portions are really good, and one can easily split a dish. I really enjoyed the pad thai and pad prick king fish on my last visit. The pad thai had great flavor and pieces of fried tofu, the fish had a nice crisp texture. We asked for both dishes to be medium, but no spice was detected, so we had to alter them ourselves. They do offer take away goodies as well as ingredients to make your own dishes, a bit out of place, but whatever. This is definitely not a place to be missed.

Fantastic Basil Chicken Fried Rice (medium spicy) !!!

We had to order take out on a Friday night because it was 10 mins before closing (9pm on Fridays) and they processed the order incredibly fast. All tables were full when we picked up so I'm sure busy nights will be a bit of a wait to get in. We asked for "medium" spice but the receipt had been defaulted to "mild" thank god. It was still a decent amount of spice and any more I would have probably been sweating like crazy. So I would recommend starting off with mild and go from there unless you are a glutton for punishing spice. Their mild seems to be more like medium / hot at an Americanized Thai joint. Pad Kee Mow with chopped chicken was delicious. Fresh crunchy green beans and bell peppers, onions and tomatoes perfectly cooked with the perfect spicy basil sauce. Noodles all had sauce on them. Large serving size and great price. We also got papaya salad which was just right and nice spice. I wish I could come here often and try everything else on the menu.

Love the flavors and textures though. Definitely want to try with chicken and I recommend getting some rice on the side. Pad mama: 9/10 This had a really yummy vibrant flavor with a good amount of protein and leafy greens. Could be spicier I think the just gave us a random spice level. Overall really yummy and good portion for the prices but would love to retry with more spice in the dishes.

The service was fast and excellent, and I appreciated how attuned they were to my dietary restrictions. My only concern was the parking, which was difficult. However, a worker informed us that they have opened up a second lot for the weekend traffic, which is useful information. We ordered the drunken noodles vegan with tofu and red curry vegan. Both were hot, which is one level down from spicy. I personally did not find the food spicy and would consider leveling up next time. The noodles were perfectly soft, there was a good amount of tofu that was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The flavor was fantastic, and I liked how the dish was not too greasy, which is a problem I have run into at other establishments. The red curry was probably my favorite of the two dishes. It was warm, comforting, and tangy with the perfect blend of flavors. I was tempted to lick the bowl! We attempted to order roti ice cream for dessert, however there was miscommunication that led to just receiving vanilla ice cream. It was soft and creamy, but nothing special.

The only complaint I have, although not exactly about cleanliness, I would suggest that management take a look at the lock in the men's restroom. Although it was locked, someone was able to enter still. SUMMARY This is a petite Thai cafe. Everything about this place was enjoyable. As for the entree, I ordered the Khao Soi with shrimp and my friend ordered the spicy red snapper. The curry broth with coconut milk was fragrant and with the toppings that came on the side (i.e. lime, onions/shallots, mustard greens, etc) enhanced the dish. The flat egg noodles were bouncy and the shrimp was solid. If you're stuck between choosing a curry dish and a noodle dish, get the best of both worlds and order the Khao Soi! It could easily reach that level. Our waitress, Ann, was incredibly kind, soft spoken, and welcoming. My friend Sherita suggested this restaurant after we left a Yelp office hour, and I'm so glad she did because it introduced me to something I never knew I needed: the salmon mango fried rice. It was absolutely amazing. I originally planned to take some home for my son to try, but it was so delicious that I finished every bite in one sitting. Sherita had visited earlier in the week and tonight shared that she arrived; right before I walked in which was 30 minutes before closing time, Jackie told her to hurry up and order, even though she already knew exactly what she wanted and didn't even need a menu. Jackie response was unprofessional and didn't even wait till the table guest got to the table, which was less than seconds since we all arrive at the same time, and left the same place. During our visit, Jackie never brought us water. A couple who was seated after us received water before we did. It took over 10 minutes for us to get water. Ann took great care of us, but anytime we wanted a refill, we had to ask. At one point my glass was completely empty. I noticed Jackie refilling the water glasses for a table of six, so I managed to get his attention. He looked directly at me, scanned the room, then stomped away all fast without acknowledging my request. Instead, he told Ann that we wanted water, and she graciously brought it over. Even at the end of our meal, Jackie stood behind the register while my friends waited to pay, yet another employee ended up taking their payment. His overall energy felt very cold and unwelcoming. My friend even joked that it was probably for the best that he didn't refill my water because of the energy he was carrying. As someone who believes water absorbs energy, I honestly agreed. I'm grateful Ann was the one who served us with such kindness. The restaurant itself has such a peaceful, zen atmosphere. The greenery outside and the warm lighting inside create a cozy neighborhood spot that I truly want to love and revisit with my son. Thank you , Sherita for introducing me and Aaliyah to this hidden gem. I completely understand why you visited twice in one week. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu, and hopefully next time the hospitality matches the quality of the food.
