And then, as an added insult to injury, my truck wouldn't turn over in their parking lot after I paid them. I walked back in to tell them about it, so they sent someone out to check it out. The guy made an adjustment and got the truck to turn over in park, so I left, . . . only to later discover, the transmission selector then wouldn't go in low gear. He pushed the adjustment too far in the other direction. Terrible work! I'm not going back Kavanaugh's and give them any reasons to rip me off again. I can live without low gear. This work should have cost about $200. Today, I got my truck back from Shuffitt's Auto Repair down on Preston Hwy. It needed a new starter solenoid. I couldn't leave them sitting there. And to find out what it was all about was S&R wanted another $100 to tow the vehicle to the dealership and was holding us hostage until the roadside assistance paid up. Waiting room was nice and people were as well, didn't have any complaints. Up until the "finished" product and there after... When I requested to see how dark the tint would be.. they told me to look at this little cube that had a light in it .. poor example. Once on the car.. they had this spray and liquid ALL. OVER. THE CAR. DOOR. Never have I seen poor quality in person I was aghast. Never have newbies practice on customer cars, go practice on personal cars. This spray was going down the door and looked terrible.. only for them to say if I approved of it lol - that it looked like you know what. Well they didn't clean that up. Then I took it home. -I- cleaned it up. The rear passenger window had a beautiful knick in it. From where someone let the seatbelt whip against it. For sure it wasn't me, I've got no kids, no pets and no one rides in the back. They tried to completely pin it on me. Saying it wasn't there upon them turning it in. Finally convinced them to fix it along with the little cargo window. Which also looked like you know what. (Free of charge cause there wasn't no way I was going to pay) At the end of the day, the one rear passenger window, they STILL left a seatbelt knick in it, probably out of spite, but it wasn't terrible and ghastly. The windows one cannot see directly have bubbles and they still do - despite them saying "they will dry out" - a month later in summer 90 degree heat. Check your final product! And the progress, if you will -absolutely- do any business here. They're very xclusive in washing their hands of fault. Just move on and find another one. Even if it involves driving a fish bowl for another week.

After doing the engine analysis, Accurate Automotive informed me the timing chain was broke. They informed me it would be 1400.35 to complete the repairs. I gave consent to proceed with fixing the car by replacing the timing chain. After starting the repairs, Accurate Automotive informed me the engine was damaged from the timing chain breakage. They offered to put in a new Jasper engine at a cost of $7200. I declined to have new engine installed in car. I inquired how much it would cost to repair the existing engine. They informed me they did not know without taking the heads apart, at a cost of $200 - $300. I declined further analysis. When I made arrangements to have car towed elsewhere, I was then charged $269.73, and they could not give me an estimate of what it would cost to repair the engine. My authorization of additional labor was based the understanding that they could repair the car by installing new timing chain at a total cost of $1400. Additionally they did not even put the car back together. When I went to discuss the bill, I was told to get the "H" of his property.
