My friend placed a pickup order and I brought home the special - Deal 2 (large pizza, baked ziti, large salad, garlic bread) plus a side of calamari to split. Asked around, got agreement to add sausage and eggplant toppings, plus we spiced it up (hot pepper, garlic, touch of pepper) before we left. Pizza: Thin crust, I could have eaten more than the 2.7 slices as we split the pie evenly among three people. Toppings are generous and taste great. Good sauce and the right balance with cheese. Baked ziti: Poor friends usually have this saved for next day. With me around, it wasn't gonna last. I indulged in this cheesy pasta goodness. Salad: OK, it's salad. We added balsamic vinagrette dressing but didn't check when we left and got a second French dressing instead. That's about the only flaw for Franco's, and that happens anywhere. Garlic bread came with some marinara. Drenched in sauce but still had a little crispness to it. If I wanted it extra crispy I could have pan-seared it, but at least it wasn't droopy. Calamari: Quite good. It had gotten a little cold by the time I was able to dive in, but if I ordered that fresh at the restaurant I bet it would be amazing hot out of the oven. For the short time I was inside, I looked around and it's a nice casual pizza joint, plenty of room to sit around, plenty of dine-ins, and a second room behind.
