came in for breakfast, staff was pretty busy and was noticed after a while, I ordered The Barracuda, without red onions. My everything bagel was toasted very well, not overdone or underdone, smoked salmon was plied high and very generous since usually places are very cheap with slices. green onion cream cheese was great. Had a cinnamon apple muffin too, muffin was most and moist, but I got say the crumb topping was more of crumble then large crumb topping. got to say this place finally give me a lox bagel and I did not feel ripped off with the portion. read more

Small bagel place in Montgomery. Close to the highway/84... Close to Maybrook. Stumbled upon it one day. One of our favorite in the area and will actually go out of our way to get there. We have several closer to us, but these bagels are absolutely delicious. Shop is usually very busy. It's on the small side, so be prepared for a little bit of a line on busy hours/days. "Holy Bagels Batman!" I haven't hit a really good bagel spot in a while. Yea, being from NYC you'd think I'm having amazing bagels all the time but the hustle and bustle of NYC life just has me too busy to savor a NYC bagel but Blazing Bagels filled that void although the irony is I didn't exactly order a bagel. I stopped in this weekend for a lite breakfast and ordered a BaconEggAndCheeseOnARoll! Yea, being from NYC my order basically sounded like one word yet they nailed my order right. Bagel my smoking hot Italian babe ordered looked super yummy too. The space has a few tables so you can grab a seat to enjoy ya grub. Coffee is self serve although I wish they had garnishments on the side (e.g. ketchup, salt, pepper) for customers because I would have loved to douse my egg sandwich with a crap load of pepper. I live in MN and apparently the Midwest really hasn't figured out bagel technology. Bagels are just better in NY, not really sure how that happens but WOW.... Just better. I was recently staying nearby for a couple of days (where I come from a couple means anywhere from 2-5, I know you Eastern people think that means 2 and only 2) and had breakfast here 3 consecutive days. I had a barracuda on an egg everything bagel twice and would gladly eat that every day of my life and the third day I got the brisket egg and cheese. The barracuda has this scallion cream cheese which is really awesome and the red onions are perfectly thin sliced and I think treated in a little salt to pull out the sweetness, generally I hate red onions but this was a great sandwich. The brisket with a bourbon sauce was out of this world insanely tender and just full of flavor. We even had three plain bagels wrapped in foil and brought home. 2 days later toasted and they were still fantastic. I saw a few reviews of the place on Google that said that this place wasn't covid compliant and that they were rude. Firstly, if that's the case I'm glad they weren't and went on with their lives and did their business also, rude? Come on.... Staff was very kind and helpful. Here comes a very mixed review...! The good: fiancé says the bagels are very good. I havent tried one but i probably wont in the near future. I've had a blt from here a couple times and it was decent. The bad: the "deli" sandwiches and customer service. Made the mistake of ordering turkey sandwiches and boyyyy did i pay the price. The delivery guy kept saying "paper wasn't on your invoice, but I brought you some". Then the owner got real rude. He told the delivery guy to get out screaming at him that he's a retard and to take his stuff and get out. Bagels are delicious. Although the owners are rude and very greedy for tips. Owner changed my total and added a tip without even asking me first. It's a 5.00 minimum and my purchase was 4.95. I saw him change it in the reflection of the glass. I know it's only a nickel but I don't like when people screw around with my money and especially without asking. Jokes on him because I was going to tip him a dollar but he screwed himself over. If I'm going into this place for a 2.00 Bagel I sure as hell am not giving a 3.00 tip, especially if the owner is going to change my total without asking first. The staff is friendly.They aren't my favorite bagel place in NY but they make really good bagels. They have everything from plain bagels to cinnamon. I do not know if they ave any gluten free options i did not ask. You can order breakfast sandwiches here. You can also get little cartons of chocolate milk like you had in school. The only complaint i had was it took forever for my bacon egg and cheese. I ordered 3 bagles with cream cheese. 1 bagel with lox and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. everything was ready in 4 min except the bacon egg and cheese. It took a good 5 min after i got the bagels to get the egg sandwich. I did go here at 8:30am on a saturday. The store itself was not crowded. Overall. If you are in Montgomery. Blazing makes the best bagels I've ever had - hands down. I love their scallion cream cheese, and if you're lucky they might also have the roasted garlic cream cheese (savory heaven!). Tons of bagel flavor varieties to choose from from savory everything to sweet French toast, Tuscan style to sweet blueberry... all are great! Since I live close by and I love bagels I'm a frequent customer at this store. Although the bagels are great and reasonably priced, the customer service is difficult to commend. Each time I go there I hope for a pleasant experience but have alway been met with disappointment. The lack luster sense of disinterest in you being there is often palpable. As a direct result, simple orders are not heard and mistakes are common. Maybe the employees are underpaid or overworked?
