We hired Tony to do some work on our backyard, including building planters, installing a drip irrigation system, planting hedges and others plants, and sealing our existing pavers. Tony and his team did a great job. I was happy with the work and the cost was very reasonable, especially since I had received word early on from some other bozos that wanted to charge way more than what I knew this project should cost. Story gets better... Unfortunately, the plants were installed while we were in the middle of a heatwave so a lot of them died before they could really root themselves. Concrete for 940 sq. ft. yards only took 1.5 days, including all the moving grass, drainage and irrigation. Professional. There were minor issues, say an accidental damage of drain strainer or wrong position of sprinklers due to miscommunication, but they fixed immediately once I told them. Called Tony and talked briefly about the work I needed to get done for the backyard - 1000 sqft of hardscaping to install travertine stone pavers. He was all ears until he heard that I will be providing the pavers and I need him to do the concrete base and installation. He became bit rude and condescending. He said they don't do that kind of work where the homeowner gets the pavers and that he has 20 years experience and such projects don't work, etc. He was unprofessional in implying that homeowners who bring their own pavers don't know what they are doing. This was a red flag for me - if he was impolite and condescending on phone, not sure how he would be in executing the project. read more

This would be a 5 star review, except for the fact that Tony missed a scheduled appointment in which he was to provide his written estimate. Since he didn't call, I had to call him to find out he couldn't make it, so we rescheduled. Otherwise he did great work, adding drainage, replacing sod, and adding concrete. These were all fixes for what a previous contractor did incorrectly. I am finally writing this review about 4 years after the work was done, but that being said, everything Tony did has held up well. I needed to have my old cracked concrete patio removed and replaced, as well as have some adequate drainage installed. I had several contractors provide bids, but some were neither on time for the appointment or didn't show up at all. Tony was on time and gave me a reasonable estimate. I hired Tony and his team to install new sod and fix my irrigation system in my back yard. Communication with tony was easy through text. That's the good part. The bad part is he is horrible with keeping appointment times. I had to reschedule our first appointment because he was over an hour late for it. I have seen a lot of people have complained about that from him in other reviews so I shouldn't have been surprised by it. I hired him anyways because I was pleased by his price and time frame it would take to complete the job. The week of our install date we had a a lot of rain so unfortunately we had to reschedule again. Not his fault at all. But the problem was he never reached out to reschedule with me. I had to reach out to him and see if he was free to come out and do the job I hired him for. So we set a date and I thought everything would be great. The night before the job he sends me a text saying the sod wasn't ready and he couldn't do the job. Now you'd think he would have checked before setting the appointment date. But that's just me I guess. So a month later we finally got the job done. The job turned out good. The sod looks nice and irrigation system was fixed in the backyard. Now the bad. For some reason beyond me he cut and capped a valve that runs a potion to my front yard. I reached out to him that he needs to fix this and at first he said they did it because the valve was broken and didn't work and was old. I just replaced the valves myself a year ago so I know that was false. And it was working just fine so the was false. So he finally said he will be out to fix it but he was super busy. I gave him 2 weeks before I contacted him again because it still hasn't been addressed. He said he would be out during the week to fix it. That was on June 6th. Hear we are 3 weeks later and still nothing. This is horrible customer service. read more

We had been trying to get an estimate on a paver patio for several months. Every time someone came by, they would take measurements and say they would get back to us - always taking at least a week, usually two. Each time the price quoted was more than we had in our budget, it seemed inflated and they were unable to explain the reasons why. Finally, I realized that they were subcontracting the work out and adding several thousands of dollars to the estimate, costing us more and not providing any additional value. Then we ran across Tony's Landscaping Company on Yelp and am so glad that we did. After that first appointment to give us an estimate (which we received that same day), we could tell he was a true professional, very knowledgeable about his business and truly caring about his customers. The estimate we received was 1/3 less than all the others and we got a larger patio and a rock garden included. We weren't completely sure of what we wanted, but he was able to guide us through the process and helped us select the colours for the pavers and stones. He worked us into his schedule much earlier than we had hoped. From the first day he and his crew showed up I couldn't believe how much they were able to accomplish day in and day out.
