My husband and I appreciate Sergio and his team at Green Ivy Maintenance so much. We wanted to have our crab grass removed and new sod and irrigation installed. I was also looking to have an area of my yard leveled to DIY a fire pit. I got four quotes, and Sergio was the best and most professional. He adjusted his quote to be less expensive than the competition. He was extremely responsive anytime I called him with a question. The installation was smooth. He even included leveling the fire pit area free of extra charge, the competition wanted to charge me an additional $300 to do that. I wanted to make some changes last minute and Sergio just rolled with the punches and never made me feel annoying. It's been about three months since installation and everything looks beautiful. I had to call a few times with questions about where the irrigation lines were so I didn't mess anything up while digging the plants for the fire pit area, Sergio answered every time and I never felt like I was bugging him. A few weeks ago I noticed an area turning brown and called Sergio about it. He had someone from his team there same day. Turns out my gardener had clogged one of the sprinklers with grass. They started by tearing down a covered and enclosed patio in mere hours, installed a fence in between block wall pillars, demolished old and laid new concrete, and ripped up our weed-filled space to install artificial turf. 11/13/19 Sergio came out (La Verne) and gave me a bid for the job. I agreed to the bid and he had an opening the following day. Sergio brought 3 guys plus himself and they did a fantastic job! The job took a bit longer than he estimated. But, because he did such a great job, I gave him an extra $110 on top of the agreed price. I am picky about work being done on my property. This job was to remove soil, lay weed cloth, set 2 rows of cinderblocks, and then back fill with pea gravel. They did a great job! Listened to what I wanted. His working crew also listed to how I wanted the job done. They made it happen. I have a large kennel for my dogs that will be placed between the cinderblock rows preventing coyotes from digging under the kennel. I reached out to multiple companies looking to see who could come out and ASAP and provide a quote for mow curb, mulch, plant/tree removal, and installation of a drip system. Sergio was the first one to answer and arrived at our house the same day. His pricing was very reasonable and he took the time to explain to us what options we had for the various work we were looking to have done. In less than a week him and his team completely overhauled our back, front, and side yard. They put in curved mow curb throughout the backyard and straight in the front and side yard. They planted the new plants and flowers we bought and laid down the mulch. They also installed the drip system and helped us with a couple other requests. The planter on the side of our house was badly damaged, thankfully they were able to repair and repaint it. They also helped replace a missing brick and paint another flower bed we had. They then helped us install a new sprinkler timer and valve for the drip system. I didn't have to hire an electrician like another company had told me. Green Ivy was able to handle it all on their own with very impressive results. They even took the time to paint the wire the same color as the wall so it wouldn't stick out. We live in Ontario and had Sergio come out to give us a free quote to have some work done on our back yard. The guy who first did our back yard few years ago messed it up. There wasn't enough drains placed in the back and there were too many areas of unleveled concrete, resulting in large puddles of water during the rains. Some areas puddled as high as two inches. After receiving a few quotes, we decided to go with Sergio. He was the easiest to deal with and reasonably priced. He brought me samples of different types of rock/grass I could choose from and he supplied everything to get the job done. (Side Note: other quotes were cheaper, but we would have to supply our own grass/rocks. ) Today, Sergio and his guys came in to work on our back yard. They took out the old concrete, placed rocks and artificial grass in our back yard. He was reasonably priced and extremely easy to deal with. He got here today around 9am at the time he said he would, and finished the job just before 5pm. He did a great job removing the old concrete and laying down the new rocks and installing artificial grass. Overall, we are happy with his work and recommend him if you need work done. read more
