Tony's has great, delicious pizza ( I always get medium dough). My co worker and I ordered from work and I had a taste for chicken wings. I got plain because I laws get honey bbq or a flavored and wanted to change up to start trying the regular plain wings to review. These were good to the bone! I never eat wings down to the bone due to some wings containing the veins partially cooked and so forth. Not Tony's! These wings will have you nibbling the ends due to the good seasoning, and perfect fry. 5 stars! read more

Came here for a quick lunch. Had great reviews so we had to try! Glad we did. Just got a small pizza to share between the 3 of us. Half cheese , half Tony's combination. Delicious! Plenty of food for 2.5 meals. We eat lightly :) the crust has a faint garlic taste to it which makes it even more delicious. Maybe it's my imagination:) The staff are super kind and you can tell it's a staple in the community based on the traffic of take out customers. I grew up on Tony's and unfortunately I'm only able to get to once a year but when I take that first bite of the combination pizza I relive the good times of my childhood all over again . Just love the crust. A little salty which I enjoy. Great salad and my friend always gets a meatball grinder and says best around. They are always working hard to provide great service. Wow! Our card group gathered at Tony's last night. Wife and I shared a large vegetarian pizza as we often enjoyed at Tony's. This one sucked! no tomatoes, little cheese and OVERWHELMED WITH red peppers. I like red bell peppers, but the skins made the pizza bitter. I even like the burnt crust as long as it's a little burnt, We've had Tony's vegie pizza a lot. This wasn't his regular vegie. Nasty. We threw out the leftovers. Sorry Tony. This restaurant has been a family favorite for well over 20 years. Recently I wanted to give my 16 year old son small party with a few family and friends. I went in a few days before the party (poor planning on my part) and they were able to accommodate myself and 25 guest. We were given a small banquet room, complete with cloth napkins and banquet chairs. We had a private entrance, private bar and private restrooms. There is a speaker audio system where you can steam your own pandora music. Let's talk about the service: outstanding! We were able to order the pizzas of our choice and they came out quickly. Salad , dressing, water and soda was left on the table. My guest did serve themselves buffet style to the pizzas but this was flawless. We went to Tony's to celebrate my sister's retirement (17 guests). From the minute we sat down, our waitress was on top of everything; we did not wait for anything; she consistently checked on us to ensure we had everything; a huge round of applause! From salad to dessert, everything was soooo delicious; we started with calamari, fried mozzarella, and sausage and peppers for appetizers; the calamari and mozzarella were fried light; you savored the taste of the food and weren't eating breading! The pasta with meat sauce was delicious; the sauce was perfect! The Chicken Francese was so tender you didn't need a knife; it melted in your mouth (we souped up the Francese sauce with the bread, it was so good)! I have been here 24 times, that should tell you something about how I feel about this Italian Springfield area restaurant. The rich sweet San Marzano tomatoes used in the sauce are simply prepared using only extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil and that is it, for me nothing could be better. I have tried many dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed.Their pizza is one of the better pies in the area too. If you are looking for a good quality Italian family restaurant which is affordable, please by all means give them a try, I am confident you won't be disappointed. BEWARE TONYS WILL BURN YOUR PIZZA. They have burned three consecutive pizzas all within a two month span. I kept saying maybe its an off night but after three thats my im a sucker limit. They used to be quite good a year ago but something awfully insidious is going on these days so again BEWARE. My son and i actually took the last one to the park and used it for a frisbee. While at college there want much good food around but the portion size and decent taste at Tony's always kept me coming back. When my family visited we dined in restaurant. I normally did delivery via DoorDash which was very quick and easy! I think it is just a local pizza/Italian place that every town has, even my town back home. But that makes it the best food. It means it's made with love. I wish there was a 4.5 because I just want to take off for the sort of laid back hosting, there was no greeting or goodbye, sort of a "sit over there and I'll get you a beer" sort of thing. Tonys is a family favorite. We mostly take our pizza to go. We're simple pizza eaters... Half cheese and half pepperoni. We ask for fresh garlic on the pizza and for the crust to be extra crispy. It is mouth watering delicious. We also get the wings and the anti pasta salad...both excellent choices. We've only dined in a few times, service is good. The grinders are tasty and my kids love the tortellini soup. The food is good too, I've only tried a seafood dish once and enjoyed it. Overall a great pizza place in our area... We went for family dinner....$72 for four people (meatball appetizer, turkey grinder, pepperoni calzone, chicken marsala, chicken parm, 2 beers, 4 sodas, 2 cannoli & 1 cheesecake). All of us left with enough food for lunch tomorrow because the portions are that big. And the food is that good. And we are all stuffed! Meatballs were soft & delicious, covered in a tasty tomato sauce & cheese. Melt in your mouth. Kids had the grinder & calzone. Both were HUGE & stuffed to the bursting point. Dinners come with salad & bread. House dressing was very good. Portions were huge on the entrees. Marsala was very flavorful, loaded with chicken & mushrooms, mixed in with al dente pasta. Very nice. Chicken parm was cooked perfectly. Nicely fried crunch with tender meat inside. Two huge pieces in a nice tomato sauce with sauced pasta on the side. The pasta did make the sauce a little watery but I stole some of my daughter's calzone dipping sauce. Delicious. We almost skipped dessert but I remembered a wise yelper saying their cannoli are some of the best. Wow were they delicious! Crunchy, creamy, perfectly sweetened. I lived and worked in Springfield for 12 years and this was one of my favorite places. They make what might just be (no, is) the best chicken parm sandwich (grinder for the local folks) that I have ever had in my life. Their Italian dishes are pretty darn good too. Beyond everything though my favorite thing about Tony's is the people who work there. This is a family run business. As a regular, they knew my voice on the phone when I'd call to order, they were always friendly and welcoming when I walked in the door, and even when I saw them outside of the restaurant they were always quick to say hi. This is one of those cases where it feels really good to support local business and a terrific family who make some great food. Check it out if you're in town. read more

This place is just awesome. Been about 5 times and loved everything. Best marinara sauce I've had in a long time. They could sell it as soup. Huge portions, pasta is always al dente, and waitstaff is very courteous. Good place for big parties as well. Only issue here is parking. Growing up we always had Tony's! There was no other restaurant that topped it! It was always a bit!! Recently I have been feeling like it's a hit or mess!! Few weeks ago we ordered a Buffalo chicken pizza it was so darn good that I ordered it again on Sunday. Sad to say it was not as good as a few weeks ago. Today I order a toasted ham and cheese with lettuce, Mayo and pickles. There really wasn't any lettuce on the grinder and it was toasted so hard that I could barely bite it. We called for reservations for 13, set up perfectly. Ordered apps the owner Frank came out to greed us, such a nice guy. All the food came out hot and within 3-4 minutes so we were all dining at the same time. I ordered the chicken parm along with 4 others in our party. We all agreed it was fantastic. The sauce was very flavorful. My wife dined on lasagna, two hugh pieces I tried a bite it was excellent. My brother got the hot sausage dinner, said it was the best sausage he's had. Best PIZZA ever! Tony's Pizza has been our pizza place for the last 30 years. Our family moved out of state about 10 years ago and we still have to stop and pick up a party size pizza if we are back in the Springfield area. This is the pizza that we compare all others to! The owners are friendly, the servers are efficient and the food delicious! The Pizza is a medium thickness crust that is delicious, tastes like fresh Italian bread.
