I gave this place another shot. Tony's is so close I could walk there. Francesca, the Italian woman who ran this restaurant for over 15 years has gone. Sadly the place has gone down hill ever since. The food is usually decent but overpriced they rarely get the order correct so you'll have to check out your order before you go. Last time I asked for extra sauce on the side and it was forgotten. This time the whole order wasn't made when I got there. They say it never printed I don't really know what that means. He offered me a free soda, which is nice, but I don't feel like waiting around for another 20 minutes for him to make my food. there were three people in there just sitting around the store was completely empty very disappointing. If you wanted me to pay first, you could've told me that over the phone, but please don't waste my time. I hope this place improves, but the way things are going these days. I doubt it. read more

I was working in Collegeville and couldn't leave work to get lunch, so I searched for some restaurants that delivered. Very few restaurants offered lunch delivery, and Tony's menu looked decent. I ordered an eggplant sandwich which came with a side of fries, garlic cheese bread, and a Greek salad. More food than I needed for lunch but there is a $15 minimum for delivery, and I planned to save the salad and garlic bread for dinner. The Greek salad was really good, all the ingredients were fresh and they didn't skimp on the feta. The grape tomatoes were sweet and very flavorful. The salad came with a garlic knot and it was delicious. I had expected garlic cheese bread to be just one piece but it was a whole loaf, sliced in half, with loads of garlic. Really tasty. The eggplant on the sandwich was very thin, and not much of it. The bread was thick. The ratio of filling to bread was off, definitely could have used more eggplant. Some mayo or sauce would have helped as it was rather dry. Delivery was very good, the driver was very friendly and he was right on time. read more

We have been going here FOR YEARS! But I have failed to do a review. First, the food is so good. We have had it for dinner, catering for confirmation classes and, honestly, was our first COVID delivery. Second, the customer service is phenomenal. I am a horrible customer. I am the one who calls the morning of confirmation class and asks if we can get dinner for 25 or the person I was tonight where I placed an order on-line for pick-up when I thought it was for delivery. This used to be our go to place for years. The food quality and service is not what it used to be. The pasta dishes and wings are average at best, however the service is absolutely terrible. The past several times we've done takeout, something has been wrong with our order and they will not do anything to remedy their errors. Most recently, they completely missed an entire component of our order. When we called to let them know and ask for a refund, they refused. They told us to drive back and pick up a new order. This is not the first time this has happened. I'm okay with messing up if you're willing to make it right. This place refuses to make it right, and instead puts the burden on the customer. I love the layout of this place. There's a typical pizza shop on one side to pick up something quick and a restaurant side if you're looking for waiter service. The food is good with no items that stand out. Most of the cheesesteak/hoagies are around $6 - $7, with a $1.75 drink, you gotta meal for under $10. One plus, BEER! I have been a loyal customer of Tonys for years. On Friday October 30th I ordered two large pies for pick up. I decided to ask for fried onion topping. When the cashier rang me up it was $31.00 .... wait , what ? For TWO pizzas one with a super cheap topping $31.00? Ok, it's Covid , I get it. Tonys has always been overpriced, but my kids like it for whatever reason. I get home, open the box on the fried onion .... nothing. Nada. Zip. Ok I'm lying, maybe two or three pieces of fried onion (photo attached) Never ever ever again . Taking advantage of your community who is trying to make a living just like you . Honestly, the people here are very nice. Unfortunately after 20 plus years of ordering from here sometimes twice a week the food has taken a complete nose dive. I knew something changed when the pepperoni on the pizza changed from store sliced to something like hormel. Then we noticed some other things going on that were just not the same. Used to be our go to pizza place when I was little - 20 years ago. We've tried the gluten free pizza twice and it was worse the second time. There's no reason the crust should be that bad - there's a ton of awesome gf crusts out there that are actually proper for a pizza. But the sauce was bland and cheese not even to the edges. This will be a short review, mainly because I want to invest as much time in my review as they did the sandwich they served me. This sandwich was embarrassing and is a clear winner in the worst Italian sub I've ever consumed. Shame on you Tony's ownership... The role was stale, the meat was hardly present - one slice of each piece of meat, and it was tasteless. Tony's please rethink how you make a sandwich because what you are serving up is not only embarrassing it offends me! We have tried Tony's three times and all three times there was an issue. 1st time, I ordered and my husband picked up. They couldn't find our order even though I had a screenshot of the confirmation number. They were insistent that no order existed and were sending him on his way. Finally, they "found" the order under someone else's name... 2nd time, we ordered through GrubHub. Took longer than expected and delivery guy said he went to the wrong house first, which delayed him... The broccoli bites are awful. I ordered a Caprese salad, which is listed under salads. Traditionally, I know this is usually an appetizer. However, it was listed under salads, listed for $8.50 and asked you to choose a dressing, so I figured like other restaurants in the area, they offered it as a salad. Nope! Paid $8.50 for sliced tomato and a few mozzarella balls... 3rd time, had some friends over and ordered lunch through GrubHub. Waited, waited, waited. Then, I received a phone call and email stating we were not within their delivery zone. Umm, we just had delivery earlier in the week. I called Tony's and they were basically unapologetic. We live under 4 miles from them and GrubHub originally accepted address so obviously they pick and choose. Not to mention, the 1st time we ordered I asked about delivery and I was told within 5 miles, which is normal for where I live. When I brought up that we are under 4 miles and they had just delivered, the lady in a snotty tone told me it was probably out of courtesy... What? I told her they should have made us aware of that the night they delivered but did not. She started trying to give me the business in her rude tone and I just hung up. Food is average. Customer service is awful. There are tons of other pizza places in this area, so don't waste your time. read more

Came here with my partner on April 17th around 6:30 PM. From the moment we ordered until we left we were being stared down by one of the workers in the back the entire time. While waiting to get our food another worker came over said something to the man staring at us from the back and then they both started making homophobic gestures openly and continuously while the same worker kept staring at us. Once we received our food, we told a different worker at the desk that we would not be coming back due to this behavior. The desk worker told us first said "I'm sorry I'll defend you" followed by "it wasn't about you" very suddenly. This last statement is very hard to believe considering we were being glared at the entire time this was happening. Even if it wasn't about us this is an extremely inappropriate and offensive thing to do while staring at two people. We won't be returning and will discourage others from coming here. read more

Tony's is a staple for a lunch during the work week. The prices are so affordable, the portions are big and the staff is very friendly. I recommend the Chicken Caesar Salad; it is one of the best that I have ever had. The pizza is pretty good there too. Since Tony's sits at the end of a mini-strip mall, parking is sometimes a little tight. But other than that, there is nothing wrong with this place. read more

Beware, if you order a Panini it will not be a Panini. It will be a sandwich. They do not grill their paninis. In fact, when I called to complain they said "our paninis are different, they're more like toasted sandwiches". Super disappointed- like others, I've been eating here since I was a little girl and the original owners ran the place, still amazing during the Mimo/Patty era, and still kicked other places out of the water while Peg and Vinny ran the place.... within the last 7 years the taste has changed... so sad!! Over The Weekend, I was craving a cheesesteak, and I don't know who has a good one in the area (I don't eat them often) so I ordered from good ol' Tony's because their steaks were always good as a teenager. Damn... did I waste my money ($19.50 for 2 chst, pepperoni and sauce on the side!) Charged nothing for sauce but $0.75 for pepperoni (each stk) - there was 10 half pieces of pepperoni total in my cheesesteak - I couldn't taste it at all... a lot of money for 5 pieces of pepperoni! The cheese was in a ball in the middle and the steak itself tasted like someone put a ton of pepper on it. To top it off, I dipped my finger in the sauce before I poured onto steak and don't you know..: it was tomato soup!!!! Seriously, I understand running a business is expensive but it takes money to make money!! I remember when they were packed every Friday and Saturday night - there was a wait at the door and 3 waitresses on the shift and the longer wait was so worth every bite!! I really hope that something changes soon!!! You can't use Campbell's tomato sauce as marinara/spaghetti sauce!!! Hopefully management realizes their decline in sales is bc of food quality vs price!! Just heard from a neighbor that Amadeos is great for cheesesteaks (stuffed and cheesy throughout) and Paradise Pizza is the place to go for pizza!!!! Come on Tonys, step it up!! Do not order online! I used the online app to order what I thought was a large pizza for $10.99. It offered no choice of sizes, and said "cheese pizza". I arrived to discover that I was receiving a personal pizza, exorbitantly priced at 10.99. When I shared the misunderstanding with the kids at the counter, the attitude was "oh well, too bad." I live down the street from Tony's, and I am definitely a fan. My husband and I order pizza once or twice a month, and Tony's is usually our first pick. We order the buffalo chicken pizza, wings, and every once in a while a stromboli. Everything always tastes great and is hot and fresh. If I had to nit-pick, I'd say the location is not the best, and sometimes the parking lot can be a bit packed. I felt I had to write a review because of the poor service I've received and wanted others to know. I first wrote to them personally but they ignored my email which brings me here to warn others and see if others had the same experienced. I have ordered from Tony's a few times and every-time they get it wrong. Generally they're not end of the world mistakes but here are a few; ordered pizza fries and asked for them to be well done and they were not. But not a huge deal, asked for a Stromboli and asked for no peppers but it came with peppers. So I figured maybe the kid taking the orders over the phone just wasn't paying attention so I decided to start ordering online since you can't get it wrong when you manually select the options for them right? I was wrong. I'm allergic to onions so I ordered a "Chicken Cheesesteak" and did the comments for any additional requests and asked for it to be a "Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak" and I know they make that as I ordered that before over the phone and there were no problems. However what I received this time was a Buffalo Chicken Hoagie. It was a cold hoagie with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Seeing this I was disgusted, it wasn't something I could shrug off because even if I removed the onions I'd still get a bad reaction from the onion being soaked into the roll and meat. I had to throw out the cheesesteak that I ordered and magically turned into a hoagie enroute to me. I tried to email them privately to let them know that something was wrong and there was a disconnect with whoever was taking orders via phone/website but it went unanswered which is why I'm on here now making it known to others. I'm not saying don't ever order from them just be expected if you ask for any special requests or ask for additional options expect it to be wrong every time. read more

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with the previous review. Tony's seems like another establishment that seems to have gone downhill with the quality of their food. Just one of many pizza joints in the area, they have one thing over the competition and that is that they deliver during the day. So, I end up eating here more often then I'd like because I can't leave the office, but I really have to watch what I order. While they do boast a full menu of Italian and American cuisine, the food is a lot of the times greasy and just plain undesirable to eat. I think the prices are too expensive and my overall experience is never very good. read more
