We stopped at Tony's prior to our excursion with the Cape May Whale Watching trip. Don't expect much choice for kids unless they want pizza. Our 5 year old daughter wanted pasta (the pasta was going to take 25 minutes). They don't have many kids drinks like chocolate milk, or apple juice. The server was helpful, but not very friendly. Also be aware that the traffic over the bridge is typically backed up and he might need some more time to get to this place (not that I am recommending going out of your way to come here). The food wasgood . I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and it was made just like I asked. The lettuce and onion were fresh. The french fries were a little overcooked but crisp. The cheese steak we very good and exactly as ordered, The pizza slice was a good size and had lots of cheese, the fries were hot and crispy. I had a very large order . This they did deliver for a very short distance. However because my order was so large did ask if they had a special or discount for a large order. There reply was we get large orders all the time. We don't give anyone a discount. So the way they stated things I felt was a like my business was not that important. Flavor of our order was disappointing. The pizzas definitely lack flavor. Very disappointing. The subs lacked flavor and value. ( steak subs) now for delivery it was hot and on time. For value and flavor I do not recommend this place at all. I'm going to try my luck at a different place. May I get better taste and more professional answers. Great pizza. We found ourselves away for the weekend in late January. Most places are shut down for the season so we took a riddle looking for something to do. We drove into Cape May and stopped at the antique market on the right side as you enter the town. After 15 minutes of antique browsing I was thoroughly bored so I decided to step out for a walk while my wife continued shopping. Note that this review is for the pizza only. I noticed Tony's pizza next door and from the outside really couldn't tell if it was open so I took a peek in through the window and saw a counter person and one patron eating at a table. I decided to enter, not expecting much. The place was old school and had a giant dining room. I can imagine during the season this place May get busy but today it was empty. There was one pie sitting on the counter and it looked decent too so I ordered a slice. I must admit I was shocked when I took the first bite. This slice was fantastic. Perfectly seasoned sauce, stretchy cheese and a thin and super crispy crust. A slice of NYC pizza right in Cape May in the middle of January. I immediately texted a picture to my wife and she came right over and we ordered 2 more. Great pizza! However, the place is very run down and tired and not very clean. My wife said the restroom was filthy. Anyway, I'll be back but probably grab a pie to take out. read more

Family run business that has been around for thirty plus years. Friendly staff and yummy big slices of pizza for $3.25 each! I only had the pizza so can't vouch for the other food but so far it's been the best slice pizza I've had in Cape May. read more

Tasty, albeit not a crust I'm the biggest fan of - more bready than doughy. The sauce and cheese (we had 2 slices each) were really good. We didn't have time to order from the menu and the only slices available were plain ones. With COVID, no indoor seating. I needed to use the bathroom though. I wish I hadn't! DISGUSTING (literal crap was left festering in the one stalled women's bathroom). I used the men's room instead - equally disgusting, just minus the crap) !!! If I saw this prior , I may have passed. We had a family of 9, all adults, and came in around 2:30/3:00. There were zero patrons in the establishment. The woman who "helped" us gave our party an attitude immediately! We asked if we could eat out on the deck. She told us that "she didn't have time to wait on us". We asked what she meant. She stated that she had to answer the phone. We were able to convince her to take out order and to eat outside. Her response, "well since you all have already taken up the entire deck, might as well". We ordered 3 large pizzas and drinks. I went in there to wait for the food and she told me to wait outside. As I was leaving, she complained that I was letting the air conditioning out because she felt that I took too much time leaving. Dang. The Works pizza was beautiful and delish and I ordered the Seafood Combo. Shrimp, Scallops, Flounder and mussels in white sauce. The pasta was cooked nicely. The scallops were missing! So, one of Shrimps still had legs without a tail and as I removed the legs I found a very long blonde hair wrapped...... I repeat...WRAPPED around my shrimp. The flounder (If that's what it was) was crumpled little pieces of rubber tasting something in the pasta. There was no "white Sauce". The sauce was more of a broth. Dang it! I was sooo disappointed because I was really hungry and it looked so good! My husband did say the pizza was good. Two stars for the pizza. We will be traveling by boat again Through this town at least 3 more times this year..... and this establishment will only be on the list for pizza. C'mon y'all! Gettit together! read more

Stopped in on 10/18 before taking the Cape May whale watching tour for a quick bit. My wife and I both enjoyed the pizza and because it was earlier the place wasn't crowded but the phone orders were coming in left and right. The one waitress was attentive and busted her butt! We saw this place on our way to beach, the place looked pretty nice and had outside seating which is what you need on sunny day. Unfortunately, this place only gets 3 star since the staff was very nice and the prices were reasonable. They can definitely improve on pizza sauce and taste of cheese. Came for a visit from Orlando, FL and was directed here from the visitor center. Considering I was traveling with my family from south Jersey, we were looking for a good cheesesteak. Great recommendation! Great service and cheesesteak was respectable. Pizza was delicious, especially considering that was a kids meal! My cousin ordered chicken franscese and it was pretty good. Could have been a little more flavorful and sauce was a little watery but the chicken was delicious. Lunch special prices were good too. I would probably come back during season to see if the food gets even better. Restaurant was empty so they may not have their best cooks here. read more

We shouldn't have pulled in the lot ‍ There was one car there at 7pm on a busy holiday week, while there was an hour wait next door. But, we were already beyond hungry and couldn't wait an hour, so we pushed through the dirty glass doors & took a seat in a dated booth. Pizza seemed to not be too risky, so we ordered that along with mozzarella sticks, stuffed shells and a salad. My kid asked to use the bathroom, which was HORRID, and probably ruined my appetite (although I tried to keep a straight face when I returned so as not to alarm my hangry husband). But I guess we're spoiled because a salad arrived & he didn't like the looks of it for whatever reason. The kids liked the mozzarella sticks and the pizza was okay, but the rest really didn't get touched. Somehow, all 5 of us lost our appetite. I recommend not going in there. However the thick Sicilian was not a Sicilian pie. It was incredibly doughy not enough sauce or cheese. If you get pizza I'd strongly recommend skipping the square Sicilian and just getting the round pie. The app didn't register the unit number so I ended up calling Grub Hub. The pizza itself was pretty tasty, but the service wasn't the best. I think because it was extremely busy - because it was raining, and since you can't sit inside anywhere in New Jersey to eat - it was one of the only places people were going because they could order a pizza for take out. It had stopped raining when we arrived, so we thought we would sit on the porch. When we arrived we were told it would be about 45 minutes to get a pizza. Then another person told us 1 hour and 40 minutes. We asked another person who said that it would take about an hour because of all the call in orders. We decided we would wait because there was no place else to go. We asked the young man if he would dry off the table and chairs at one of the tables on the porch. He said he would. We waited on the porch...and waited, and waited....he just stood inside. We finally practically emptied one of the napkin dispensers and dried everything off ourselves. I was traveling up the coast moving a boat up north during a time when many places were closing due to covid 19. We ordered Tony's pizza from the dock for delivery. They were very nice when I called, and the food came quickly. We ordered half "the works" and half pepperoni pizza. It was very nice of them to do that for us as most places won't "half" their specialties. We also got a Greek salad and chicken wings. I've driven by this place hundreds of times, and never stopped. Stopped this weekend, and I've made hundreds of mistakes by not stopping here. Good "old fashioned" pizza. Not greasy, and perfectly crisp. Being from NNJ I take my pizza quite seriously - and I don't like most places here. Tony's wins hands down. It's amazing, they still put just a dash of oregano on the pizza, like the old days. And you're not tasting it all night either. Which means, the sauce isn't old. Friendly service, take out. I'll be back here more often. It's a winner. Update: 7-17-17 We stopped in here for dinner, always had takeout pizza in the past. I was pleasantly surprised how really good it was. Cheesesteaks sandwiches people next to us had looked tremendous, but we opted for the steamers (fantastic choice) chicken marsala, and chicken parm dinners. Portions on both were very good, and extremely tasty. Pleasantly surprised by the server bringing really good garlic bread while we were waiting. 3 words: Worst Pizza EVER! We ordered a SICILIAN 16" SQUARE THICK CRUST and a CALZONE. The calzone was greasy with too much chunky garlic, but it was slightly edible. The pizza, however, was the worst pizza we've ever had in our 30-something years on this planet. I can only describe it as frozen cardboard with tasteless Italian sausage and cheese toppings. This is the first time that I have ever had to throw away an entire pizza. I took two bites and knew there was no way I could stomach the rest. I would have been better off going down to the local grocery store and picking up a frozen pizza - at least they have taste. Before you decide to order the pizza, decide first if you would be willing to take $15 out of your wallet and put it right in the trash can. If so, go for it. If not, you are wise. read more

They guys at this shop are a pleasure to do business with. This pizza place is down the street from my parent's boat and whenever we need pies they drive them over, no matter how many. They are responsive and kind and their pizzas are consistently good. A nice balance of cheese to sauce ratio. They also make a respectable cheesesteak (and I've lived in Philadelphia for 8 years since growing up in CM and I still think theirs are pretty great). Their eggplant parm and other italian meals options are all of good quality at low prices. It might not be a fancy place to eat, but it is a great place for families or for carry out. I can only speak for the quality of the pizza here, seeing as I have yet to try anything else, but it is definitely worth reviewing. It is a thin pie. Average, but not great, consistent, but not leave an impression good. My family and I order a Tony's cheese pizza at least once while we are vacationing in Cape May, and we have truly never been let down. It is your typical greasy Jersey pizza, but not necessarily your run-of-the-mill vaca slice. It fits better in a central- north Jersey setting. Sorry to see a place we have frequented so many times fall so far. Delivery prior to this evening was phenomenal. However, after tonight we will never order from there again. After the driver did not deliver to my location , i saw my phone had a call from Tonys. I called them, they did not answer, then they called me.back, i asked about my food to be told the delivery man had tried to deliver, but when i told her that i had been outside waiting and saw noone. the delivery man got on the phone and was ruder to me than anyone i have ever encountered. He blamed me for the non delivery and told me he did not have the time for me...the young lady tried to apologize for him and said our food was on the way.
